Also, 1st day isn't just for depth, you should also be able to find starters or situational players. I find it hard to believe that Wolfe will be able to average more then 5 attempts per game over a whole season without injury. Maybe the team has given up on Williams and Okwo will now be the man to replace Briggs.

You know what... I hate Garrett Wolfe more then any other draft pick over the past 2 years. At least for the others, there wasn't such good value in front of them, just more hype, really. But how can you pass up on Pittman, Bush, and Jackson for Wolfe? It just baffles me. Is it because he is a chicago native???

Lance Briggs was a 3rd rounder, and a mighty fine good one at that.

also, why another athletic, special teamer WLB??? DON'T WE HAVE ENOUGH!?!?!?!?!? Is Jamar Williams, Leon Joe, and Darrell McClover not enough!!!??? I understand that, but Okyo isn't anything we don't already have, and there were SO MANY BETTER OPTIONS then Wolfe.

Yeah, and so is Brandon Jackson, Michael Bush, and a couple other better options. I hate to get pissed at this, but JA did the same to me last year, and look at that draft he had.

Wolfe is about the size of my little GIRL cousin. He isn't worth a first day pick, and he will get EATEN ALIVE by NFL defenders. There were several better choices then Wolfe. So what, he's fast, but fast isn't going to save him from being broken practically in half.

I really don't like the Okoye pick either. We have about 10 other players just like him. Undersized, but athletic, special teamer. He is a lot like McClover, Joe, and Williams!

I absolutely HATE the Wolfe pick.

Maybe in the 4th if he is there... otherwise, no Troy Smith.

good pick by philly. Really good back to team Westbrook up with... Bush still out there. He would be very intriguing if he is available for us, even though he really isn't the cutter (not emo cutter, running cutter!) we need?

3 more picks until double trouble! also, any chance the Bears can use a late round flyer on a DH for the Sox? Well, he is a good return man.

I don't think so, since the org. still thinks Grossman is the franchise QB. Maybe we dump KO in a trade and pick up a developmental guy on day 2...

Draft Recap
I don't know if anyone is interested or anything, but I am a big fan of NFLDraftcountdown.com, and I think Scott Wright is one of the best draft scouts there is, and here are his scouting reports of the two players we have already drafted...

Also, everyone remember. Bazuin's nickname is Buzz. So whenever he makes a sack during the season, we need to always go... "You've been BUZZED!" I doubt JA wanted him anyway. He just doesn't seem JA-ish. damn... Stewart Bradley gone. Oh well, I think I'd rather have someone like Dallas Sartz in the 5th.

Yep... in fact, a lot of good players still available. This draft is very deep.

My prediction for one of them is Brandon Jackson, RB, Nebreska. He is very underrated, and if he stayed in school, he could have possibly been the top senior next year. He would make a great change of pace back for Benson, and the org. doesn't seem too sold on just Benson, Peterson, and having some scrub. Plus, he is a player the org. likes a lot, and have interviewed and meet with. For the other, I'll go with one of my favorite players in the draft, John Wendling. Can play CB, FS, and SS. Would be a couple years away from actually starting, but he has good special teams potential.

I personally like Quinn Pitcock out of Ohio St. better then Demarcus Tyler. He isn't as big or as strong, but he is very good vs. the run, and doesn't have any character or work ethic concerns.

Not a big Alexander fan. It seems like the org. feels that they have Briggs future replacement filled already with JaMar Williams. I wouldn't mind Tyler, but do we really need TWO Tanks with character concerns?

well, the trade favored us heavily, but you can't blame the Chargers. They got the man they wanted, and Weddle is a very good player.

I think this means that one of these DE's are going to be traded either today or tommorow. I don't see how we would have room for 5 deffensive ends. Lovie has been down on Alex Brown, as well as Wale Ogunleye, but seems more willing to let Brown go. Anderson is staying period, and it is quite obvious that Bazuin is going to make the team easy. That leaves Idonije. I like Idonije, he is very versitile and good on special teams, but it looks like he is the odd man out. Bazuin seems like a less athletic version of Mark Anderson to me.

I have no problem with this pick. Dan Bazuin is a high character guy, and is a very good, underrated DE. He was projected to go first, day probably 3rd round, but our 2nd round pick is practically the same as a 3rd rounder. Plus, Lovie is not really happy with his starting DE's. Does anyone else think that maybe we were targeting that Gerald Alexander guy from Boise, but somehow the Lions found out about, so they traded up to get him? Three trades seems kinda odd, especially when you trade up for such an unkown like Alexander. Plus, he did seem like a JA type of guy. Oh well, I actually like Bazuin better.

and there goes Dwayne Jarrett.

Well, the 7th rounders and our 6th rounder pretty much are heading straight to the practice squad. There is nothing wrong with having lots of picks. We can replace some of ther crappier players, like Wesley, Joe, Oakley, etc. with some players with youth and potential. we don't have our original 2nd rounder (63) or our 6th rounder. Detroit takes Drew Stanton. He is the 3rd best QBn this draft IMO. I really like that pick by them. But, as long as Millen is running things, they will continue to suck. good pick by Minny with Rice. Jarrett might be there still for us. Looks like teams are really skeptical on him with his speed. I really hate the Mike Williams comparisons for him.
