  1. 138 yards passing, 41 yards rushing. I don't care how hard they are playing. And they are. Holding all these teams to what ever the score they are. It's a team game. I don't want to see them win another game. And after they lose to the FN'P in two weeks I won't have to. Have never been this depressed since the late 80"s when they really had a chance to win. Don't want to hear about who should be the QB. coach, gm yada yada. If they win another game then it will give credence to keeping Nagy and Pace. I can't blame players because I don't know or understand scheme's etc. But as I have said before. Time to let all the big contract players go or get traded. Take a few years of cap hell and draft a whole new team. If not, I will not be watching again next year. My heart can't take any more. I would be happy to hear, after the Packer game I can't watch, they are just running out the practice squad for the rest of the season. Hell run them out in the Packer game!!!!
  2. 50+ years of hoping for the D to win games. Just for a few years before I die it would be nice to root for a team like the Marino Dolphins, Kelly Bills, etc. Just to see if it feels any better when they still lose.
  3. So I wonder if the firing of both Pace and Nagy wouldn't be the biggest moral booster the Bears could make before the season ends. And I also mean tearing down the whole team. I don't think any D-fensive player has taken a team to a Super Bowl win, no matter how good, with out strong support across the board. Taylor, Butkis, Watt, Donald, Sapp, Mack. When the highest paid player is on the defense or offense other than QB your just not going to win. And this whole mindset of getting a QB on a rookie deal so you can build around him. In the last nine years only two teams won with a QB on their rookie contract. Wentz was but Foles won the big one. IMHO in todays NFL you need a QB first and foremost at almost any cost. But not a crippling contract. But what the F do I know except I think it's time to burn the whole thing down. And start from scratch. Start getting as many draft picks as possible for the next three years and a new GM to hopefully make better choices. And maybe Ill live long enough to see some fruit of that labor. It's 1982 again so start making it happen. LOL

    Expectations.

Almost 60 years of watching the Bears. I told myself I would not say anything anymore after Monday night. But here I am. I have infested more time and emotions than I want to say, And still have had my heart ripped out for all but one season If my mind was not so weak I would list all the games I have watched since the 70's, 80's 90' into the next century when they did not close the season. Still they are not the Lions, Minnesota, or any of a dozen teams who have not won the big one. They are and will always be the most storied franchise in NFL history Then I read a story on on the Bears web site. https://www.chicagobears.com/news/chicago-bears-offense-continues-to-work-on-forging-identity-nick-foles Went to the Chincy web site and though they don"t have the record the Bears have they have scored ten more TD's. All new coaching and everything. Rookie QB and they still have a better offense then the Bears have. Old, tired, and done.
  5. I guess I play in a different scoring format. I have never seen a d go negative. How does that work. Give up a 100 points. They start win zero how do they go back wards? To me kinda like a kicker. How does he lose points?
  6. OK, no offense to anyone, but what the hell is Strength of victory. How many math nerds does it take to compute that stat. Or even how you come to what it means or how to put a percentage to it? Always been math challenged so just asking my smarter brethren.
  7. Don't like winning ugly. But better than losing. Would be nice to have a few beautiful wins along the way. Have not seen the offense to do that yet. Hope springs eternal and loved his presser.
  8. I hate to complain after a win but damn. It's time to take Nagy out of the play calling. What the hell was going on. He got bailed out again by the defense. His first play on the goal with a four TE set. The offense line has not had any push all season. I've don't remember being so low after a win. I just don't think this is sustainable. At some point the defense is going to get gassed.
  9. Trade him for Mitch near the end of the season? Why not. Anything else no.
  10. Trade him for Mitch? Why not. Anything else, no.

    BEARS WIN!! 4-1!!

Like I've said, lose some you should win, yada yada yada. And some times you get to kick the goats ass, leaving him dazed and confused. Pretty good game for my first live one this year.
  12. So Chiefs and Pats score only nine points in first half. Guess their offenses also suck?
  13. In my uniformed opinion I just don't see Mack as the same as he was in 2018. He is still a better than average player but he was just taking blockers and doing what he wanted to. Wether going around them thru them or taking them with him and not just one or two. I think his knee is bad and he is just gutting it out. Maybe time to get fixed or maybe it's something you can't. I haven't seen a full game but when I have this year and last he is just not the same. For the investment they have in him I would rather they fix it now if they can than just continue.
  14. you win some your suppose to lose and you lose some your suppose to win. and then you get yer ass kicked.
  15. its a game of making plays. the bears and Foles did and Atlanta did not
  16. Your not making it sound like waiting till one west coast time to watch replay is worth it anymore.

    Gayle Sayers

One of the first players that got me to pay attention to Pro Football. Should always be in the debate for greatest of all time.
  18. I don't think they will ever bench MT as long as they are winning. Or in the game to the end.
  19. did not see the first 3 Qtrs. The last yea. Well were 1-0 on that score. Its just a dink. Detroit makes that kick its over. punt and they still might win. Oh and the drop for the Win by a rookie. . you lose some you should win and you win some you should lose.
  20. Thanks for trying to talk me off the edge. I just don't see things positively. I think we are in QB purgatory and stuck being an 8-8 team for the fore seeable future. All of our game changers will get old and we will just suck more and more as the next few years go on. They have once again wifed big time on the QB position and it's going to set us back another ten years. Again!! God I'm starting to miss Bobby Douglas. He sucked, but you never knew what he was going to do every week. Throw an 80 yard bomb. Run for 100 yards or miss every one by ten yards.
  21. Season opener and underdogs to the Kittys. Doesn't give me much hope for rest of season. In my sixty years of watching the bears I have never been this unenthused for the start of the season. Two years ago I thought we were in the SB hunt. Now I feel were stuck in 8-8 land for the foreseeable future. But maybe I'm all wrong and they will pull a large rabbit out of a small hat.
  22. For me only if they were multi-choice
