It seems like Mac Jones started good, then got worse (more tape on him?). Lawrence had a really good stretch between two seasons but has really fallen off of late. Wilson has been bad almost the entire time, and Fields has been up and down but seems like he is trending the best out of all of them over the last couple of months.

I was really close with the score for the Cards game. I feel like it will be similar, Bears 24-13.

ATL looks a lot like ARZ, a good TE and RB, but that's it. Playing in CHI will help the Bears. A dome team playing in 30 degree temps is never fun. Game time temp projected to be between 33-35. I am just hoping for a good game from Fields, and no more injuries. Regardless if Fields is the man or gone, him playing well puts the Bears in the best position to win next year. Either he take off from there and improves even more next year, or his improved performance makes a trade for lucrative in a return.

Is Fields with a new OC better than a rookie with that new OC? One crazy note, for how bad Lawrence has looked recently. He seems to have really regressed as the season has gone on, Fields may be the best QB of that year group.

On a side note, are the Bears ever going to get any calls? Jordan Love got hit legally after a throw, boom, 15 yards. Then they got a pass that clearly hit the ground out of bounds called as a catch, even after review. Those calls allowed GB to win, which actually helped the Bears with the Panthers pick, but the Bears always have the calls go the other way. There were even two phantom calls against the Bears, one hold on the long Fields run and a DPI on the next drive that was BS. The game is hard enough that if you have to also overcome the officials, it makes it near impossible to win. Yet, the Cards never got a holding call against their offense, but both of their long plays only happened because of holds. Very frustrating.

If CAR wins one, Bears get the #1 pick. If CAR wins 2 of 2, it could drop to #4. So the best the Bears can do is #1 and #6 and at worst it could be #4 and #18

Fields had a 71.5 Passer Rating and 65.5 QBR against ARZ. ARZ was ranked 32d in Defensive DVOA. He now has a 85.6 QB Rating, 23rd among QBs with enough passing attempts to qualify. For QBR, he slide up slightly to 44.9 which is 22nd, just behind Derek Carr and Russell Wilson, and just ahead of Sam Howell. QBR 50.0 is average. I think Fields has made Poles decision a lot easier than it should've been. Poles just needs to sift thru all the other noise (O-Line play, Receivers, play caller, injury) and figure out what is best for the team. As long as he is GM, he ain't getting the first pick again. If he messes this up, he is fired in 2 years.

I was thinking about that. It will be interesting to see what these teams do. Going thru the QBs, Stafford and Purdy seem to be the two best, then a drop off.

Same as before, some good, some bad. Not all on him, but still feels inconsistent. Moore got hurt, Kmet got hurt, so options were limited. He made the most of the scrambles. Ended up relying on defense to make a turnover on downs stand in the ARZ territory to basically seal it. Bad INT took away an amazing scramble play.

The Bears and the Falcons, cue the Spiderman meme. Both teams are super inconsistent week in and week out. The Falcons beat the Colts 29-10, a week after losing to the Panthers 9-7. They beat GB 25-24 but lost to WAS 24-16. They beat TB 16-13, but lost to ARZ 25-23. They may be the most jekyll and hyde team in the NFL. Both teams still in the hunt with ATL at 7-8 looking to get to .500 while the Bears are hanging on by a Bear claw at 6-9, looking to get to 7-9. The Flus defense is a lot like the Colts who just got torched. The O/U is only 38. I expect it to be over 40. I am going to say Bears 24-18 (Bears can't win when opponents scores more than 21).

The top 3 at this point are Williams, Maye, and MHJ. I am assuming Fashanu is top 5, then you have Bowers, Latu, Newton, Nabers, Alt, Odunze, McKinstry, Robinson, and Verse. The Bears will get two of those players listed, one of the top 3, and one from the group after Fashanu. I am assuming Bowers, Newton, and Nabers will also be gone before #11. That leaves Latu, Alt, Odunze, McKinstry, Robinson, and Verse.

Last 5 games: 96-160, 60.0%, 945 yds (189/g), 4 TD, 3 INT; 58-348 (69.6/g), 2TD with rushing yards, he is averages 258 yds per game and 1.2 TDs per game. 2 of the INTs were hail marys.

A win is a win, but it's another game where the win occurs when the opponent scores 20 or less. At least we going into Christmas with a win and not feeling crappy all week. They need to strap up and get ready for ATL who just beat down IND 29-10. I was hoping for a game like that for the Bears. Every game is a playoff game now.

I have the Bears winning one more, which would lock them into #11. Basically the Bears will draft #7 with 6 wins, #11 with 7 wins, or between #14 and #16 with 8 wins.

As much as I like the arm talent, all the other stuff scares me. Painting fingernails, not talking to media after losses, can a young guy like that command a team of men as the leader? Time will tell. Poles has a tough decision coming up.

Thank God, two score lead with a minute left. If they were going to win, I was hoping for a blowout and huge game, but this game gives Poles a great picture on what he needs to do going into the offseason.

That pick was awful and the only reason why the Moore pass even occurs. If they score instead of the pick the game is already over.

Having a inferior Center doesn't help.

Finally! A 3rd Down conversion when the game is on the line. Now they can burn the clock, score some points and put this game away.
