Based on cap numbers, unless Kmet is traded, they will probably cut him after 2025, especially if a rookie outperforms him.

I assume that Sanders will go before the Bears pick, so there will only be 6 players taken by the time the Bears pick twice. RB - Henderson, Judkins, Johnson, Skattebo WR - Higgins, Noel, Burden, Harris OT - Ersery IOL - Wilson, Savaiinaea DT - Alexander, Turner, Norman-Lott Edge - Green, Ezeiruaku, Scourton, Jackson, Tuimoloau LB - Schwesinger CB - Johnson (injury concerns), Revel, Amos S - Emmanwori, Winston, Watts The 4 players in bold have a first-round grade and Green and Johnson were both projected in the top 20. Just based on the numbers, Edge and RB seem likely.

Williams, Booker, Grant go the next 3. I would not have minded Grant at 10.

I don't like it at 10 either. I would rather have went Edge, DT, or CB there if they couldn't trade back.

It will be interesting to see what CLE does after the trade back. Top 4 as expected, Ward, Hunter, Carter, Campbell.

I don't think they will go Edge in the 1st, Odeyingbo has a $20M cap hit in 2026 and $19.5M in 2027, I don't think Poles pays him that much to be Edge3. Billings is on the last year of his deal, and Jarrett is older. If the talk of Dexter sliding outside is true, that makes Edge even less of a priority with a very high-draft pick. Braxton is still recovering, his status is unknown and Kiran is still a question mark. OT has to be high on their list. Kmet is the only TE signed past this season, if he gets injured, Smythe is TE1. So TE will be selected in the first 4 picks. OT, DT, TE, and RB will most likely be the first 4 picks. S and WR potentially in the 2nd or 3rd is someone drops.

I love this move. Edwards has played above his current deal, now locked up for 3 more years. The 2026 Defense has Sweat, Odeyingbo, Jarrett, Dexter, Edmunds, Edwards, Gordon, Johnson, and Stevenson. Safety is the only position without a starter signed thru at least 2026. Edmunds probably a cap casualty, but that is a ton of continuity on the defensive side of the ball. Safety may be a higher priority with Brisker's health and Byard's age. The entire starting offense is also signed thru 2026 besides Thuney and the LT. So right now 9 of 11 on offense and defense signed thru 2026.

This would be nice, especially with Ratledge or equivalent in the 3rd. Addresses trenches and adds playmakers. One thing that I have considered when looking at the roster, I doubt they add a TE and a WR in the first 4 picks. I think it will be one or the other, or neither.

Slightly off topic, but no matter which Mock Draft Simulator I use, it seems like the Bears can come away with 4x Day One starters and another 1-2 contributors (backup Safety, LB, etc).

I was going off of the guys they had in for the top 30 visits. They all seemed to be at worst late 2nd rounders.
