  1. I agree with both points. I liked Sears a lot, though I know other on here didn't. As for Rice, I really think he is underrated by some. I know his 40 (4.5) isn't what a lot expected, but he dominated SEC play for his two years in the league and is a great red-zone target. I think he has game-speed, rather that track speed. He looks much faster on the field that his 40 time indicates.
  2. They sure did. I really think the Bills just got the Defensive ROY...
  3. Oh wow, I thought the Colts would take Poz or Branch.
  4. I was thinking the exact same thing. Our patience in finding a game-breaking TE has paid off.
  5. OHHHHHH, Hell YEAH!!!! Come on down Mr. Olsen!
  6. Oh God, that phone call to Olsen better have been from the Bears, not some team that traded up to get him or the Chargers taking a 2nd TE to play with Gates, though I find the latter really hard to believe.
  7. No doubt. I don't think it's possible for him to get past KC or at least Baltimore. Then again, I thought that about Miami...
  8. I don't necessarily think so. Who is gonna pick Quinn (unless a team trades up) b/t now and the Jags pick?
  9. I'm not a huge fan of mock drafts b/c they're so speculatory and never end up the way people make them, but I just figured what the hell? I'm really in the draft spirit, and I'll give it my best shot. 1st- Jon Beason - OLB - Miami 2nd- Sidney Rice - WR - South Carolina 3rd- Brandon Jackson - RB - Nebraska 4th- Tim Duckworth - OG - Auburn 5th- Dallas Baker - WR - Florida 7th- Matt Herian - TE - Nebraska 7th- Keith Jackson - DT - Arkansas What do yall think? Would people be happy with this? It's probably not very likely we'll only take 2 defensive players. I could really see us taking a chance on someone like Quentin Moses (DE Georgia) if he were to fall to Round 4. Our 4th rounders seem to be guys who most people think will go on the 1st day, but fall for whatever reasons.
  10. That's exactly what I was thinking.
  11. I wouldn't necessarily be disappointed with that draft (if you were to take out Smith and add another, better WR), but we can do much better. Smith has just shot up draft boards b/c of his workouts, and when you see that happen, the player doesn't usually justify the pick they go at.
  12. That was my fault. I jumped the gun picking for Headache since I made his pick last time, but then he posted saying he wanted the Bengals to take Timmons. So, Hall should've been available.
  13. My bad, I just assumed that you'd forgotten since you didn't make your last pick. We can change it to Timmons. Won't affect the last pick at all.
  14. I picked for Headache last time, so I'll just do it again. With the 18th pick, the Bengals select Leon Hall - CB - Michigan.
  15. Look, I'll pick for the 49ers. With the 11th overall pick, the 49ers select Patrick Willis. The Bills are on the clock.
  16. That's exactly the deal I thought of when I read the Sun-Times article on the potential trade b/c the article mentioned "players" could be involved in the counter-offer.
  17. Wow, I figured he'd be gone since we signed Adams, but I can't say I'm disappointed. Scott is a very solid DT and a good run stuffer. I really don't see the Bears taking a DT unless there's just some great value available at some pick of ours.
  18. All I can say about the possiblity of gettting the #6 pick is "Wow!" Could you imagine if Calvin Johnson fell to #3 and then we traded the 6 and the 2nd rounder for him! I know we have needs to fill, but Johnson would be just sick! Our WR corps would be so badass with Calvin, Moose, and Berrian. However, that's not likely to happen, so I think I'd definitely be in favor of trading down to the mid-first round and picking up another 2nd as well. Then we could maybe draft Patrick Willis (ran a 4.38, i believe, at his pro day), who I have been in love with for the last 2 years (I'm a big Ole Miss fan). The possibilities would be so fun to think about if this trade were to go down!
  19. I'm glad we have Brown back, and I don't know much about Carter, but he adds depth and really makes Safety pretty much a non-factor in the draft.
  20. Sweet. I like how we've picked it up a little after not doing anything the first few weeks of Free Agency. Adams is a very good value, and it makes DT not so much of a need at the beginning of the draft anymore.
  21. Wow, great move if all we really did give up was a conditional 6th rounder.
  22. NFL Draft Countdown now has a new 3 Round Mock Draft and has the Bears taking Dwayne Jarrett and Ben Grubbs with our first two picks. I can't say WR would be my 1st choice, but I guess I woulnd't complain if it happened. Jarrett could be a stud, but I'd rather focus on Safety or LB with the first pick.
  23. Yeah, there's no way you can compare NFL-caliber workouts with the top strength and conditioning coach in the league with working out a lot in prison.
  24. I put "Trade Briggs," but I would have preferred the option "NFL Draft" b/c that's what I'm truly waiting for. I can't wait! Once the draft is over, then I move into baseball mode.
