  1. That was as bad of a loss against GB as I can ever recall. The NFC Championship was certainly more critical—and there have been numerous other bad losses over the past decade—but the fact that they were up 20-0 late in the 3rd quarter and still found a way to lose that game is so Bears I don't even know what else to say. I mean, you had every bad thing that could have possibly happened that lead to the inevitable loss when Nagy refuses to run the ball on 3rd and 1 that likely would have sealed the game. Then you have the Kyle Fuller dropped INT, which is then immediately followed by the Randle Cobb 75 yard touchdown that always seems to occur when the Bears are in a do or die situation. It's just hard to picture any other way the Bears could have drawn up a worse scenario than the way they lost that game tonight. I thought the playcalling on both sides was horrendous. After the scripted play sequence was over for the offense, they basically did nothing the rest of the game. On defense, I have no idea what the hell Vic Fangio was doing. How do you continue to let Rodgers pick you apart in the short passing game when it's obvious he can't move anymore? You can't score 1 touchdown on offense and expect to win at GB. But by the same token, you also can't find a way to lose a game on defense by giving up 21 points in the 4th quarter after being up 20 to freakin zero until the end of the 3rd quarter. Predictable insanity is what I would call it. What can go wrong will always go wrong against GB. They will always have the Bears number until they can find a competent starting quarterback that doesn't shit their pants when the going gets tough. Disapointed the way Trubisky looked out there. He does not look like a 2nd overall pick should look like. His lack of awareness is extremely concerning for a guy with his supposed pedigree. He missed some wide open guys down the field on numerous occasions, and even in situations where he saw the open man, he still made some very inaccurate throws that you just can't make. He's got a loooooong way to go. If there is any silver lining, it's that Khalil Mack is incredible, and it's unlikely that we will ever see another game, health notwithstanding, where Roquan Smith and Khalil are missing many snaps moving forward. Kwiatkowski's days as a starter have to be over, because he isn't any good.
  2. Imagine that. Bears go to more shotgun sets, and both the ground game and passing game open up! They should have been doing this from the moment Trubisky began as the starter. I don't know what the statistic is anymore, but I know a few weeks ago that the Bears ran more plays under center than any team in the league... with a quarterback who had never taken a snap from under center prior to making it to the NFL. Jordan Howard averaged over 7 ypc last year running out of the shotgun, yet it took 3/4 of a season for Fox and Loggains to realize they should probably go back to that. Another big day for him.. Crazy.
  3. It's going to be Pete Carmichael, because he's a New Orleans connection, and I'm not going to be very happy about it. Dude gives off too many Marc Trestman vibes with his dorky personality.
  4. It is the only sensible thing to do at this point. There's literally no downside to making the move now as opposed to waiting till the end of the year when the decision has already been made about Fox. In fact, there could be something to be gained from making it now because you get to see what kind of HC Vic Fangio could potentially be during these last 5 games. At least then you won't have to feel bad if he were to end up a HC somewhere else and succeed. Then again, this is the Bears we are talking about, and they rarely do sensible things when it comes to the management of the team.
  5. What is the downside to firing John Fox right now, Bears brass? Seriously. He's gone at the end of the year anyway, why wouldn't you just get it over with now and give Fangio a trial run as HC for these last 5 games to see what kind of response he can draw from the team? And if they want to try out a new play caller, too, why not?
  6. Kyle Fuller apparently can not stand on two legs without tripping over his own feet. That's twice in the 1st quarter he's lost his balance and given up a big play.
  7. Fox is too much of a chicken shit to go for it. You're 3-7. Have some balls.
  8. Trubisky's accuracy and footwork are out of whack. Need a real coach to come in and teach him the right way to do things.
  9. Fuller blows another opportunity for a pick by falling down. His play has fallen off the cliff the last two weeks.
  10. I have a baaaaaad feeling about this game. I see shades of 2013. Would be a massive surprise if they were to pull this one off.
  11. Big time drive by Trubisky. It's too bad the Bears still think Connor Barth is an NFL kicker.
  12. Great, Pace's first two 1st round draft picks can never stay healthy. White is a bust and Floyd just blew his knee out.
  13. There is no scenario where bringing John Fox back is a good thing. Remember, Fox is going into the last year of his contract next season. The idea that he could lure in a great quarterback whisperer as his new offensive coordinator in a lame duck scenario would never happen, and signing him to an extension would destroy the franchise for the next several years. Besides, those considered QB whisperers all get head coaching jobs. If you want someone to develop Trubisky, it has to come from the head coach so you avoid losing him to a promotion.
  14. Brett Hundley absolutely picking apart the Bears defense.
  15. I'm more than a little concerned that it seems like Trubisky is getting worse with more reps.
  16. Another blitz not read right by Trubisky. Ball has to come out to the side of the blitzer. This is football 101. Somebody is open.
  17. The Packers are blitzing on every play, yet the awareness of Trubisky doesn't seem to be there to throw it to the hot receiver. Whoever the TE is should be having a field day with slants over the middle of the field, because the ILB's are crashing so hard. Somebody is open. Trubisky needs to be able to find them, instead of taking unnecessary sacks. In fairness to him, though, the offensive line with Grasu as the center is awful.
  18. LMFAO, nobody benefits from the officiating more than the Packers. Fox's dumb ass challenge backfired so much that it gave the Packers the ball because of a touchback.
  19. Trubisky STILL doesn't have the option to audible. Either he's not a bright guy or this coaching staff doesn't know how to handle a young quarterback. I'm going to go with the latter. This coaching staff will RUIN Trubisky if Pace doesn't bring an offensive mind as a HC next year. He is developing bad habits because of shitty play calling.
  20. Probably the most accurate assessment of the Bears right now.
  21. The only thing that matters, regarding the future of this franchise, is do you feel comfortable with John Fox and Dowell Loggains developing the most important Bear ever drafted, despite having no history of it at any of their previous stops? If the answer is yes, please explain to me why and what specifically it is about either that makes you feel that way. Because having an ascending defense is great, but none of that will matter if Trubisky busts because the ones in charge of his development don't have a clue what they're doing.
  22. Bullard made several noticeable plays today. If he develops into a consistent player, a D-Line of Bullard, Goldman, and Hicks could be as good as any in the league from a 3-4 perspective. I think it is already, but Bullard has more upside than Unrein does. The defense gave up too many chunk plays to my liking, and that first possession was embarrassing after the Fuller penalty, but they were still able to generate a few turnovers and keep Drew Brees out of the endzone, which is almost impossible to do in New Orleans. The arrow is definitely pointing up with several more players beginning to solidify themselves as bonafide players.
  23. Lol, talk about the most anti-climactic game ever. Horse shit play calling ended that final chance at a comeback. A play action on 1st down on an obvious passing situation? Then they call a pass play on 3rd and 1 in 4 down territory? Wtf is this shit? Dowell Loggains should be fired before the bye week. I've seen more than enough of this clown.
  24. That was the luckiest pass and catch I've seen all year. Bad way to lose.
