  1. I tweeted his agent for the latest update on him. Everything I read leads me to believe he'll be back at some point next year, very possibly the beginning of the year. Even if he's lost a step he'll be an upgrade over Hester.
  2. Could that be the before mentioned Johnny Knox?
  3. Even if we get Long I'd still like another OL drafted in the first. A TE is needed but not the top priority. I'm sure the bears can find a TE better than Davis/Spaeth in the late rounds or pick up a mid level TE in the FA market.
  4. Really like this team, if one of those other RBs step up you'll be stacked. The last draft i posted was the talkbears league...how do you guys like my work money league, I really like it... QB- P. Manning, RGIII (If Peyton is Peyton, or RG3 has a Newton like season I like my chances) RB- McCoy, Matthews, Richardson, Law Firm WR- M. Wallace, Loyld, Bowe, Blackmon, Jeffery TE- Gronk, Cook D- Seattle (My draft lost connection, but I'll take em) k- Hanson I've got 3 (maybe 4) great rookies that could put my team over the top.
  5. I think its good enough to beat a bunch of guys on some message board.
  6. How's this look?? QB- Stafford (Big Ben) WR- R.White, D. Bowe, Malcolm Floyd (Garcon, Heyward-Bay, Manningham) RB- S. Jackson, Law Firm (Spiller) TE- Gronk (Fleener) K- Crosby D- Pats
  7. Local product, as a Northwestern football fan I thought he was gonna be a solid NFL player. I believe he was first team all big ten as a senior...Could turn out to be a nice addition.
  8. Has the draft order been decided or is it random right before the draft??

    Shae McClellin

You hit the nail on the head there wesson...Wayyyyy to early to be calling this guy a bust. Remember this is a guy the Packers wanted and the Pack are pretty good at picking players on the defensive side of the ball. If he hasn't done a damn thing come the buy week then maybe it'd be ok to start rippin on him.
  10. I'm gonna start workin midnights here pretty soon, won't be getting to bed till 7:30ish. I can get by with 6 hours of sleep so how does 2 sound to everyone??
  11. Where are you seeing this?? Only thing I found was the following. http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth/post/_/id...-shea-mcclellin Perhaps someone was just pulling the being pushed around statement without the context?? Can't find anything else on the subject.
  12. I'd be down... keep_your_hart@yahoo.com
  13. Green Bay has Tyler Kuhn but they still use BJ Raji like I assume the Bears would use Melton. It's just an added element to the goal line package. Can't see how one could frown upon this.
  14. Ya man where have you been, 2 TE is the way to go.
  15. I dont see how this would hurt at all. talk about a "snot buster" or whatever Jason called it He looks to have some skills as well, no surprise there. Its not like Texas is a small school. And Im pretty sure running 1-3 yards once or twice a game isn't going to fatigue him to the point where it's going to effect him on D. I was too young to really remember the Fridge (born in 87)..How often was he used as a blocking fullback?? All I've seen was him actually getting the ball.
  16. I think this is phrased wrong, this makes it sound like we wont be good without the OL taking a giant step forward....this team was 7-3 when healthy with the OL playing the way they did...this team is a solid team no matter what
  17. And that one guy is Mel Kiper whos been doin it for years and has some pretty sweet hair, how can he be wrong??? A lot of scouts had him as a 3rd round talent as well, does that change things?? Im not advocating that he starts from the get go because of that I'm just saying if he earns it he earns it.
  18. this...as stated before he was the 54th player ranked in this years draft so lets say hes not busted for weed and was drafted in the 2nd or 3rd by the bears...then do you care?? .. If he earns it, he earns it no matter where he came from.
  19. Judging from the link I posted you'd think he'd be an adequate enough vlocker for an NFL TE. By that (if you didnt read the article) I mean he was an Olineman the year before he played WR/TE and he said he was surprised by the move because he was the best guy on the line. Also Spaeths 40 time is 4.83, Ali said he got his under 4.8. So all things considered I hope he can beat out Spaeth as I dont think Matts that good and with Tice in charge of the O itd be nice to give him 2 monster TEs to work with.
  20. - http://askville.amazon.com/transition-Alej...uestId=63994496 the more I read about this kid the more I hope he makes the team. If he was offered a rugby scholarship and he was in the army that tells me the kid is tough as nails ands thats usually whats questioned about big tall guys is how fragile is he? and heres some sort of combine type video that makes him look really good and heres some game tape seriously hope the guy catches on, he could be a monster! No way teams can defend against him, Davis, Marshall, and Jefferey in the end zone
  21. Hard not to root for this guy.
  22. Was he really???? if so excuse my ignorance and forget everything ive said lol.
  23. Which then hopefully leads to Garza moving back to guard and Spencer moving to Center, which I like.
  24. This. Thing I like the most from what was posted in the OP was Mel Kiper had him ranked as the 54th player overall. Idk why he wasn't drafted but if its cause he smoked a lil weed in college oh friggin well, soon enough pot will be legal anyway...I play semi pro rugby and smoke before games with a van full of other players sometimes and my coach says I can be good enough to be scouted. Pots not a big deal and the sooner people realize that the better.. For him to be rated as the 54th overall from a respected talent evaluator like Mel Kiper tells me he has some talent and coulda gone in the 2nd round. I wouldnt be surprised in the least bit if he starts somewhere on the line this year or in the near future.
