Supposedly the Bears have targeted him as being a high priority signing. They liked what they saw on film. That was reported by Lemming a day or two ago.

I'm hoping they snag this guy.

 

Intriguing athlete for Fox/Donatel to mold. 6', 4.35 speed, former corner, was in Seattle a few years playing behind the LOB, and was apart of the #2 ranked pass defense last year.

If you put enough B+ players on the field at the same time, you'll get an A+ defense with some Pro-Bowlers on it. Particularly if they're well coached.

I'm so fed up with the rumor frenzy that I find it hard to believe anything until I see actual signings.

Its another overpay for a player, were now in on bargain hunting and that's why he didnt sign here.

Now Lewis is gone, going to be slim pickings for a cheap price. Maybe Rolle can talk Stevie Brown into coming here, not a bad player.

$6mil is crazy for Parker. I was figuring $4mil for 3 years. $30mil? Wow. I would rather have Goldson and use him like he was in SF. Brown would be good too, especially considering his experience with Rolle.

I couldn't agree more. NFL.com had Parker ranked as the 88th best free agent, behind both Peanut Tillman and Lance Briggs. This is one of those deals that makes me wonder, what was his second best offer?

Way too rich for my tastes for a somewhat unproven safety. I'm glad Pace is not over-paying (too much) just to get players here.

I would say we were probably 4-13 mil. In that area of an offer. There were be some help along the way, just not names we were expecting.
