Bears vs Lions Week 17 Gamethread

Featured Replies

Some intrigue for the final game of the year, will this be Forte's swan song? Will this be Adam Gase's last game with the team as OC? Will any new players emerge or standout? Will the Bears avenge their previous loss? Will the refs actually call a fair game? Which draft pick will the Bears end up with? Will Mariani gain more than 3 yards on a punt return? Will SMC play and look completely lost in coverage? Will Gould miss another FG? Will we have Red Zone success?

My prediction: Bears 27-20, drafting 16th

Marc Mariani and Josh Bellamy are the starting WR's for the game... Why not give Fales a shot? What's the point of having Cutler out there with JV talent in a meaningless game?

That's the 7th time the Bears have allowed a TD on the opening drive, IIRC. That leads the league. I don't know why the defer anymore. It's always an automatic TD.

There we are, first drive for the opponent a TD. That must stop next year.

Who is Housler?

Who is Housler?

I thought the same thing a few weeks ago and looked him up on YouTube. Played pretty well in Arizona for a few years. Real similar to Miller in that he's a journeyman TE with pretty good hands. Sounds like he has some injury issues too.

How can you tell he got no reps last year?

From his previous years I thought he looked slow. He looks faster this year.

Just the Bears luck, in 3 seconds, somehow Detroit is able to hike the ball and throw an out route, and get tackled inbounds.

I think we need Oline more than Dline, whether it be draft or free agency. We need at least two good solid guys to be solid.

I see Cutler has two picks. Game is not on in my area. What's going on?

One his arm got hit by Ansah on delivery, and the other kinda looked like PI on a ball that got deflected to another defender. Neither were really WTF Jay picks.

Is Miller out too?

One was in end zone, deflected off Bear wr - intercepted

2nd one looked like a Dlineman may have gotten a hand on Cutkers arm while throwing. May have caused ball to be off. I didn't see any Bears WR in the area. Who knows

There was someone a few yards behind the guy who picked it. No idea who, because I have no clue who is out there anymore.

Defense actually playing really good. Besides for their 1st drive issues, they have been very solid.

Nice throw and catch, Cutler to Bellamy for 34. This is something we have missed most of the year.

You are right about that, long ball was nice to see!

Now a 45 yarder to Thompson, offense looks completely different when we take legit shots down field.
