I would take Fields as he is today over WIlliams. Can I trust that Fields will be like this going forward? No I cant. But I had never seen him do it before.

I would even say the flashes we saw didnt have this urgent tempo - Fields' drops had the urgency of a 13 year old being asked to clean their room. It was always dragging, lazy, not in it to win it.

Today is different. It's nothing Ive seen before from him.

So Ill say again - Im not a hater, I dont have a negative narrative Im rooting for. I just see what I see, and today is everything Ive worried about, turned around.

Fields with 233 passing yards and 32 rushing. So at 265 in 3 quarters. QB rating has dropped because of some incompletions, but zero turnover worthy plays and a couple of dimes dropped.

I can live with some turnovers and stuff. No QB is perfect. What has been lacking was this pocket tempo, and thank God we finally see it.

for sure. he already defensive back coach and defensive passing game coordinator. My guess is they wanted him to have more time to work with the rookies, and the results of that have been good - but next year? If they keep Flus, Hoke would be a good DC.

If I had to guess Kmet will be good to go.  Last game against GB and a local kid?  Almost no question.

Johnsons injury looked like a stinger.  I’d say he’s back next week too but maybe more sparingly.  With Stevenson and Smith playing well, not as much a concern.  
 

Dj Moore going into the tent a little concern. But also a stinger type injury I’d guess.  
 

if I had to guess, we’ll be at nearly full strength next week for end of season against GB.  All hands on deck.
