HOU defense allowed the 2nd highest Air Yards and highest Avg Depth of Target, and only had 2 hurries. So the deep passing game should have some room to operate.

Spent the weekend in Milwaukee and spoke to a few locals and all they can tell me is the Bears should have kept Fields and Williams is going to be bad lol. They said did you see how bad he was last week.  I said he went against one of the best interior defensive fronts and had a few misses that wouldve flipped the narrative, his fault and wrs faults, but should get much better.  Then the next comment, did you see his nails.  Hello, he's doing it for you...

Minny beat SF today and TB beat Lions, why not  more upsets tonight.

Inactives for tonight.

BEARS

  • WR Velus Jones Jr.
  • WR Keenan Allen
  • OL Kiran Amegadjie
  • FB Khari Blasingame
  • LB Noah Sewell
  • DL Dominique Robinson

TEXANS

  • WR John Metchie III
  • S M.J. Stewart
  • RB Dameon Pierce
  • LB Jamal Hill
  • OL Juice Scruggs
  • LB Rashad Weaver

Honestly I have no idea how to feel about this game tonight.  We could get our asses kicked or we could win.  We’re rightly the underdog here but maybe the offense will play good enough to compete.

Seen G/C Bates was placed on IR.  Shelton is it for a while, most likely the long run.  Surprised to see Odunze is supposed to suit up.  Collin Johnson and Tyler Scott get a chance to show they belong.

Velus inactive basically equals a win. He is a multiplier for the other team. Without that negative on the field, the Texans won't be getting a free short field.

Allen was expected. Hopefully a full 12+ days off will have him ready for next week.

Yeah, I was expecting Allen to miss multiple games after we traded for him.  One down I figure at least 3 or 4 to go.

Edward's jersey was held on that long Mixon run.  Better let them play both ways is all I'm asking

Agreed.

We have a QB. I know it’s way early but this QB play is different.

in other news we need an Oline to protect our franchise QB.

Better be priority.  They have a defensive coach, so bring talent to the O a d let him scheme and coach up the D.

I do think some of what they are doing is going to give us a shot over the top of the D.

Weak link in pass protection.  Just like last week run the stunt across the face of Davis right past Shelton.

Shelton is overplaying his position and hurting us.  The OL does not trust each other.  It's hard to trust a guy you haven't practiced with...

Yep.  Play calling isn’t very creative and the line is getting no push.

Swift ain't sh*t to be honest.  I'd rather see Roschon and Herbert combo at this point.

That was sloop[y with fouls, but they got it in. Tjhey need to run hurryup the whole game.

Only the hungry, feed Herbert

Because our rookie QB can handle that and changing the pre snap calls at the LOS.   I don’t think I’ve ever seen that out of a rookie QB in just his second game and first game on the road.

He's good...

Eberflus needs to evaluate the RB position.  Swift is and has not been effective.  Make him a 3rd down player until he can show up.
