Week 13 Official Turkey Day Game Thread - 1130CT - Flus will be fired on Black Friday

Definitely getting our asses kicked in every way.

Rather than harping on the Bears, it seems to me like Detroit is really really good. They are what we should want to look like.

Ben Johnson very impressive as OC. He'd insist on an actual OL. Dunno if he is the alpha Dan Campbell energy too though. He still might be the best option for us.

But wow, it's nice to see such good football, even if it is our ass getting kicked.

I’ll say it right now - Bears are a good coach and draft away but things can go sideways.

I just know one thing - I don’t need a hard ass head coach but I need someone who is a natural born leader. Vrabel or Belicheck on defense is fine as those head coaches go…even the Lions DC is intriguing.

I don’t know enough about Lions OC…Campbell has so much swag I’d be worried their OC is more Waldron than Campbell.

If Miami ditched their head coach he could be an interesting option. Total nerd but he is a great offensive mind….goes against my leader thing but he must be - his players love him.

Vrabel is pretty much top on my list.

Caleb would light it up if we had Mike McDaniel.   I feel confident Poles (should he remain) will be looking to bring in an offensive HC to pair with Caleb for the next 10 years.  I like Vrabel too.

I'm watching and keep thinking Jared Goff is still the same shaky QB under pressure that I saw in college, and LA for that matter.  If you have a good Oline against a weak Dline just run.  Shouldn't be hard to call those plays.

For sure, a great OL makes everything else look so much better.

I feel the same way. The roster is pretty good. We do need a little more. OL, a pass rusher etc - we all know. But it can be found in a single offseason.

I also dont need a yeller per se, but it has to be someone who brings real accountability.

You see how Dan Campbell is. He doesnt seem like a genius. He has amazing coordinators. But the one thing he excels at is just personal energy. He is the Daddy of that team, and that's what you need. Belichick did it quietly, Harbaugh yells. Either way getting the team motivated and disciplined is the name of the game.

I love Ben Johnson's Xs and Os, but i wonder if he has that thing we are talking about.

This season has gone south very quickly. I thought we might get close to the playoffs. Hope we haven't finally got the franchise QB and got nothing around him. We have flipped with the Lions to being a joke of a franchise. I'm 60 this year. Will I see another competitive team in my lifetime. I'm unsure. Never thought I would be wishing that my team was as good as the Lions. We are a complete shit show.

I can't see where we have a good roster. I accept that coaching is important but what about a players pride. Where is our strength? All the WRs look bang average. We have a terrible O line. Wish we still had Montgomery over all of our backs. The defense is the only area of the team in which I think you could have confidence going into next season, other than Caleb who looks like he could be something.

Nice to see the offensive qplayers showing a bit of pride. WRs completing their routes and fighting for their QB. Hope Caleb is not hurt.

Wow. Caleb gets totally kneecapped and comes back with that TD throw.

Ii agree, we need 3 or 4 new players on the OL. And yes, everyone is demoralized. Id love to see players believing more, but it is hard to when you KNOW the ship is sinking?

I also agree with you about Montgomery. I have always loved him. I think we need to get Roschon Johnson more involved too. I do love power backs.

Oh and happy Thanksgiving to you all in the USA. Hope you all have a great festive holiday and enjoy your turkey with all of the trimmings

I only watch the Bears games so I'm a bit biased. Is there any teams that gets stiffed as much as the Bears by the officials. The horse collar tackle is another horse shit call.

I thought the hit on Caleb was a season ending one.  He got up and the next play his tempo was intensified as he threw a laser to Allen.

Seeing your QB get hit like that angered me.  If Goff gets in the open field, payback is expected.

it pissed me off too. I thought we were gonna see Bagent.

This offense has made really good halftime adjustments.

That pass to DJ Moore was special. The Bears have shown pride in the 2nd half. If we win this, my friends in the USA are going to have a sweet Thanksgiving Day.

Caleb is a series away for getting the turducken trophy. If the defense gets the stop, watch out.

Come on New York, blow the whistle for 12 men on the field. Detroit gets the officials helping almost every play.

Another way to lose a close one.

so maybe if we had someone in a sort of head coaching position, they could have called timeout to try the tying field goal. We should get one of those.
