and Hightower is supposed to be all that. Hed better get them focused.

It happened again, this time the 32. How is that even possible when they are lining up at the 40? The returner ran 30 yds to their 8?

A lot of positives from this half.  Caleb looked the part and Bagent can start in this league...

and I know it was the 2nd team Bills defense, but Braxton looked greatly improved too.

Cool.  I'm drinking tonight, so I'll watch the tape tomorrow.  OL looked good through rum goggles...

it looked like we have an actual running scheme too, instead of the usual pile of bodies and a HB trying to push through it - there were holes, assignments - it was like... professional football?

Amagadje looking good on the run block for Wheelers second TD with about 9:40 minutes left in the 4th. great zone concept - double team and theh he got to the second level.

All in all the entire game screamed good coaching.

GREAT first drive, and while I wasnt only looking at him, Jones seemed to be very strong that set. Nice.

Caleb was so decisive and accurate that drive. 2nd drive was good too - just a bummer that Rome dropped that pass. Nice game with exception of Smith looking like he suffered a season ending injury. Hoping somehow it isn’t as serious as it looked.

That first big pass to Kmet, awesome! He doesnt get credit but can carry the team if needed.  Commander game 3 years ago was all him and the swing for the fences is my favorite Bear TD celebration

I think both TEs will be schemed open a great deal this year. Easiest quick passes you can get are in the center of the field.

Jahns mentioned that Doyle called plays for the offense and Harris called them for the defense in the 2nd half. That is impressive because there wasnt a drop off or any string of pre snap or penalties.

Also, OZ basically gives the Bears 4x starting WRs. If you add Loveland to a 5 wide package, 3 of those guys are a straight up mismatch on every play.

I will have to look at snap counts but not all Bears starters played (Thuney, Swift, Johnson, Gordon), plus the Bears started their 4th string RB, so it want completely mismatched compared to the Bills. Also, it was weird to see Mitch come in for clean up duty as the 3rd string QB. I kind of felt sorry for him tbh.

With the way rotations work on the DLine, non starters get a lot of snaps anyway.

The next game will be the biggest disparity in play as most teams won't risk injury that close to the regular season.
