Week 11 Official Game Thread - CHI @ MIN, Nov 16th, 12PM CST, FOX, CHI +2.5

Ben Johnson with one of the worst end of half decisions I've ever seen. What in the literal hell was he trying to do there??

Just run the ball 3 times and force MIN to burn all their timeouts! Instead, he throws the ball, calls a timeout on 3rd and 1 on their own side of the field, and then Caleb overthrows another open receiver deep down field on the next play, giving MIN a shot to get the ball again with all their timeouts. He almost got burned again like in the first game.

7/16 for the QB that half. Totally inexcusable performance by Caleb. Luckily, McCarthy has been even worse, but the offense is not taking advantage of opportunities. Another big opportunity to start the 2nd half with the ball. They have to push this to two scores to force KOC to abandon the run.

There has been a free edge rusher on every play, run or pass. The Bears have to counter that and make them pay.

It's really hard to gauge Caleb's performance where he can't even hit his back foot before there is pressure.

Travis Homer? On a critical 3rd down? Why?

Referees miss a blatant facemask on 3rd down that would have continued the drive. Yet another game where the Bears get screwed by the officiating.

I'll look forward to the all 22 to see why this is happening.

Homer with a rushing attempt on an important 3rd down? Why?

Then he has facemask grabbed twice and neither were called? WTF his going on?

it was blatant and awful. ugh

Can anyone tell me why the league hates the Bears. Officiating is a joke. The official is looking right at the face mask and doesn't’t call it. Why do we always play against an extra player?

We had a roughing the passer call in the first half which was less than several late hits on Caleb.

I would like to have a special teams coverage unit that can just even be average?

Gotta figure Hightower will be replaced before next year.

It literally changes the game, that would've been an automatic first down and could've led to a TD, burnt more clock too.

They arent booing, theyre saying Seeeeeweeeewell LOL

the league will definitely fine him this week - but we wont get the first down.

Might help if there were more quick dumps underneath.  A fair number of the pass attempts appear to be of the long range variety. Is he missing the reads?

If all it takes to rattle him is a rush then don’t think the remaining defenses on the schedule won’t be deploying it.

Yet they call penalties on the Bears that are not even there, yet miss these. Luckily Santos didn't miss the FG, because that could've been even worse.

70% Blitz rate and the Bears are not doing anything to counter.

Now Burden has turned into Oz, two drops today.

They are blitzing, and playing a lot of man, and the short routes arent open a lot. The Vikings are pressuring Caleb and leaving the deep throws one on one, betting that Calebs inaccuracy on the long ball wont hurt them, which has been true for a lot of the day.

How to beat it? Run it down their throats and then throw on play action.

Burden drops a critical pass to move the chains. Bears doing their best to keep Minnesota in the game.

Redemption for the rookie.

He obviously needs to concentrate on those catches today, but I think he is gonna be a real beast for us.
