Bears have 19+ million cap space

Featured Replies

As per PFT. I'm still pissed we didn't go after a difference maker. That being said, I know we'll use a chunk on Forte, and I have this dream scenario where we want to put the franchise tag on Roy Williams, Okoye, and Gholston, but we can decide who to choose. Is there anybody else we need to pay anytime soon?

That being said, here's what PFT says:

"The teams with cap space, a day before all teams must be in compliance, are as follows: Buccaneers ($ 29,560,000); Chiefs ($ 28,431,000); Jaguars ($ 28,000,000); Browns ($ 27,620,000); Bengals ($ 27,164,000); Broncos ($26,542,000); Bills ($ 23,460,000); 49ers ($ 22,570,000); Bears ($ 19,300,000); Seahawks ($ 16,387,000); Cardinals ($ 14,603,000); Redskins ($ 11,450,000); Packers ($ 11,106,000); Jets ($ 8,920,000); Dolphins ($ 8,446,000); Colts ($7,925,000); Titans ($ 7,127,000); Saints ($ 7,027,000); Patriots ($ 5,264,000); Chargers ($ 5,031,000); Eagles ($4,604,000); Ravens ($ 3,558,000); Panthers ($ 1,915,000); Vikings ($ 938,000); Falcons ($811,000); Giants ($623,000); Rams ($621,000).

The teams in the red are: Raiders ($15,246,000); Steelers ($8,597,000); Lions ($7,793,000); Cowboys ($6,671,000); and Texans ($3,358,000).

By tomorrow at 4:00 p.m., there should be no teams in the red."

They need to see who comes available tomorrow. I think we all just need to relax and let this play out.

Peace :dabears

Yep, I will be curious what players get cut at the last minute due to salary cap issues, players teams had hoped to trade but obviously couldn't and now have no choice but cut. Hopefully a few OLmen, under 30 years of age, with some quality experience, LOL.

Agreed <many here think its still 2010 rules, Not anymore Henry!! New day dawns tommorrow.

Forte should get 8 of that

Since the Cowboys are over, who else do you think we'll sign from their team? Damnit, Colombo signed already!

Careful what you wish for. Leonard Davis is a available... And he's a Guard.

Agreed

I'll be watching and waiting. This is the time to get the final pieces JA. Oline help, LB, DB? Sign Forte.

At this point, waiting and seeing is really the only option.

I hope besides paying Forte, etc, maybe they want to hold some cash for next year to try to nab Fitz?

Agreed... Keep space ofr next year then if we aren't making a big splash.

He might well get more than that if they can frontload it. Anyone other than him that really needs extended this year?

Fitz is already talking about staying with the Cardinals and they have already set aside a chunk of cap space for his new contract.

I think that may all hinge on how Kolb does. If well, then, yeah, he probably re-up with the Cards. if not, I wouldn't be surprised if he tests the market.
