Cuts comming

Featured Replies

Ok Been speculating on who goes and who stays. I attached my final word document for all you to look at play with. But notables that are out is C Taylor, Marcus Harrison, Harvey Unga. As for FA signed most notable will be Andy Fantuz. Play with it and give your ideas on stays and who goes.

Well deleted the file it seems to have errors. I will upload a newby here shortly

I couldn't help but notice the IR designation next to Clark. Was there an official announcement on his injury? Too bad for sure.

No I just put that on there, this was based off no official word or any news source, its my specualtion.

We have a plethora of RB's so I think Chester Taylor winds up getting cut and Khalil Bell makes the team as the 3rd RB. I don't know how many WR's we will keep but I'd imagine it'll be 6 (Williams, Bennett, Knox, Hester, Sanzenbacher, Hurd). I'd like to see us keep Gholston but I think he's pretty much gone if he doesn't do anything in this 4th preseason game. Addison has looked nice as well but he could be a practice squad player. The question then becomes, do they keep Marcus Harrison? From what I've seen Toeina and Paea have been terrible, especially Paea and Anthony Adams will probably be the starter come week 1 and Okoye and Melton are locks to make this team, that doesn't leave alot of room for Harrison. I see him getting cut too.

This first group of cuts will only amount to 6 players. The first cut has to be down to 80 players and the Bears have 86.

1) Rookie punter Spencer Lanning

2) Robert Hughes RB

3) #17 WR Jones

4) #76 Josh Davis OT

5) #60 Devin Miller LB

6) Laptad DE

Onrea Jones has actually been pretty solid in the time he's gotten so far. I'd like to see him atleast make it to the last cut to push Sam Hurd for that last WR spot.

Hurd is a stud special teams player. Jones is not. You keep Hurd.

Peace :dabears

I think that Kris Adams is the WR besides Sazenbacher who has done the best in TC and preseason games so far and he not Onrea Jones has earned the right to compete until the last cut. Onrea Jones is a cut you make now with the idea that you can try to slip him on the PS.

My Cuts for first round

C Alex Linnenkohl

QB Trevor Vittatoe

G Ricky Henry

P Spencer Lanning

G Mike Lamphear

CB Ryan Jones

Word is the Bears will hang on to that punter until the last minute to try to trade him. Teams will need a punter and he can kick. I bet the Bears are successful. As far as I'm concerned, if he's better than Podlesh then keep him and trade Podlesh. It's doubtful the Bears will do that after giving Podlesh all that money but I want the best team on the field.

I suspect Taylor not getting playing time against the Titans is the Bears keeping him healthy while they work to find a trade. I doubt there will be any offers but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Can you trade a guy this soon after signing him?
