February 1, 201313 yr comment_115334 So I was perusing a recent article in SI (and I believe Bleacher Report - OH THE HORROR!!) and saw a nugget about this kid out of Vanderbilt. Yes, that Vanderbilt. Anyhow "they" went on to say that he is a late round prospect (something like #18th rated in upcoming QB's). So the question to be asked, could he be a project QB that the Bears should/could entertain in later rounds...like 6 or 7? (Remember, Tom Brady was a 6th rounder). Anyhow, he is enticing not only because he is from Cutler's alma mater but also Aaron Rodgers little brother. And like the BR's article I read suggested, wouldn't that make for an interesting story line? http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/articl...s-NFL-potential http://www.vucommodores.com/sports/m-footb...ers_711885.html Report
February 1, 201313 yr comment_115335 I brought this idea up yesterday out of curiosity. I think it would be pretty cool. He will be 25 by the time the season starts so I don't know how high the ceiling is, but if Trestman truly is the quarterback whisperer, maybe he can work some magic with this kid. Would make for some pretty entertaining games between the Packers, going up against his older brother. Report
February 1, 201313 yr comment_115337 Ya, you're the 3rd guy to mention him, myself included. I'd love it as a "joke" 3rd string qb who could grow under Trestman. As a Northwestern fan I saw him in a game against my Wildcats and despite not looking that good I remember a few drives where he looked like he had some potential. He's also got some some pretty good wheels so he would work if they wanna move to using the read and pistol more often. Report

February 1, 201313 yr comment_115341 Don't see anything that makes him better than the 3rd or 4th QB we already have so why waste a pick? Report
February 1, 201313 yr comment_115344 If he's the 18th QB on people's boards, he will be a UDFA. I have no issue with the Bears bringing in a UDFA if they like someone. Report
February 2, 201313 yr comment_115410 Cutler has worked with Rodgers a bit and that is what led to Cutler/Aaron being pretty good friends. I think he'd love to come to the Bears but Bears won't draft him (he's way more likely to be a UDFA). Report
