  1. I know what you are relaying and it's a decent theory. However, I was a validation specialist for many years at a pharma company, so I'm very picky with stats. It is a cool stat.
  2. This has my inner demons cringing. Poles better have hit on the center and OG positions. Otherwise that fourth round weapon he drafted will be an anchor around his neck. Christian Mahogany and Beaux Limmer were there too at least add bodies to the equation. Like I said earlier, was he thinking he was the smartest guy in the room or was he that? The difference makes all the difference. Damn, I hope he's right, this time.
  3. It's actually not, but WE can will it into existence...💪
  4. That's cool in theory, but that's not how the math works. Bad teams improve at a greater rate because they are usually young, bitten with injuries and/or coach loses the team and is replaced. If those teams win three or four more, they still aren't good. Vegas builds billion dollar casino's and the have us at 8.5. I think we sneak in at nine wins.
  5. I'm a little fuzzy, but didn't we give up around 450 yards and a Packer receiver dropped a sure TD? Please don't ever tell me they didn't have anything to play against the Packers. Also, Justin had everything to play for. If he was as beloved as stated, the D would've been inspired.
  6. He looks goofy at first glance. But if you look deep into it, he is covering ground very quickly. He's so bendy, it looks like he's made of rubber. Once he hits the professional weight room and gets his hand fighting down, it's going to be like trying to block flowing water.
  7. In looking at the last game, what makes anyone think we'll have a top five defense? I see top half and but not top five.
  8. The anchoring part is somewhat of a comfort, because Patrick was a Matador. I guess I need to hit the film instead of bitching about what I want.
  9. We had Whitehair, Patrick, Kramer and Feeney last year. Do Bates and Shelton have any better pedigree?
  10. I hope you are right. You are taking about a guy that couldn't start for his team and an inexperienced Ivy League tackle. Sounds like regurgitated Patrick BS to me...
  11. It can absolutely help an opportunistic defense. What I have seen from Flus's D is bend but don't break. So, is it really a weapon when you give up the yards until the field shrinks at the 25 yard line? The 85 Bears would absolutely use that as a weapon, as they were always in attack mode. I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see the big advantage. Did Poles finally play the smartest guy in the room role or is he simply the smartest guy in the room? The difference makes all the difference...
  12. When I first heard it, I hated it. Thought about it for a few and hated it. Then thought, who am I? Still don't understand it, but who am I? I've been crying for a stud center for three years and we've yet to get one. Maybe the backup we traded from the Bills will be the guy. All I know, is I better not see a turnstile up the middle this year.
  13. He did an interview on ESPN 1000 yesterday. He has a career in media when he retires. Very charismatic.
