  1. Past hour
  2. I just realized the Bears could also now clinch a playoff spot with one more Packers loss after last night's victory, and the Packers might have to start Malik Willis against the Ravens next week.
  3. Can we please get 2nd half Caleb in the first half? It seems like he plays on slow burn until he needs to crank it up. Man, he's great with his hair on fire. And how bout Jahdae Walker!
  4. Still running on fumes after last night... They were severely out played and out coached for almost all but 2 minutes at the end and somehow found a way to win. I am hopeful this win will finally allow them to breathe a little and not press as much early on in case they meet in the playoffs. Having Burden and Odunze back will be huge, but the Packers will get a couple players back they didn't have last night, too. My biggest concern right now is what happened to CJGJ? I pray he didn't blow his knee out and maybe it's only a slight hyper extension. Was he able to walk it off? His loss is devastating for this defense that already couldn't afford to lose him given the Kyler Gordon injury. They still likely need 1 more win to get in, and they're going to have to play maybe the two best offenses they'll play all season the next two weeks. I'm really nervous how this is going to play out.
  5. SF's offense always scares me with Shanahan. Purdy eviscerated the Bears last year. The ball barely touched the ground. Obviously, the circumstances were different back then, but his accuracy and downfield throwing scares the heck out of me given how poor this defense has been in giving up explosives. I don't think their defense is very good, though. They can't rush the passer at all. I expect this offense to move the ball and put up points in this game. I think it could come down to takeaways and time of possession.
  6. Today
  7. For any Bears fan, this victory was monumental. One I will never forget. However, IMHO, San Francisco is a far more talented team than any team we have played this year, and who stands in the way of a potential #1 seed for the Bears. Detroit, despite their record, kicked our ass in the first meeting (we are vastly improved since then). I want revenge! So, yes, I think the next two games could define the Bears as either a good team that missed the playoffs or one that won the NFCN, the #1 seed, and a chance to return to the Super Bowl.
  8. i am with you, i am/was not his biggest fan. it's just strange (or not so for a kicker) that he runs hot and cold. misses easy chip shots one game and makes the incredible on others. that said.... his game was superb last night. when he lined up for a 51 yarder i said not possible with that wind. he proved me wrong.
  9. This is the reason they kept Santos instead of changing to Moody. We have gotten two onside kicks this year and the bad weather games. Without him, we don't win this game.
  10. Beating the Packers was the most significant game of this year. We have had 3 playoff games, starting with Philly up to now.
  11. No. I think no game will be more challenging than getting the Green Bay monkey off our back. This was as important a game as you can find in the regular season for making the playoffs plus the history between the two teams. You can’t come out of this game and not know that you can play with any team in the NFL. Pitt, Philly, GB, CLE (top D), GB. We’ve been in the playoffs for weeks. Now teams have to take us seriously.
  12. Shady was giving Caleb shit last week and now this.
  13. and he is talented as hell, and the lightbulb is coming on for him as a pocket passer, just like we hoped. He wont need these heroics much longer. He's about to be a top QB. I think this was his breakout game. If you watch each play, he was magnificent. The offense sputtered, but Caleb was GREAT. Oh and here are his recent records: 1) #1 lowest interceptions for a QB in their first 1,000 passes of all time (since the merger) 2) Second highest career TD to INT ratio of all time. Rodgers is #1, Caleb #2, Mahomes and Brady are in the top 5 too. 3) Ties Payton Manning for most 4th Qtr comebacks (20) under age 25 And he is still improving - the signs are there. He is on the path to being a top QB for a long time. And I believe he took a huge step tonight. Much calmer, better accuracy, timing was fantastic, good reads, and a total winner at the end. Due to our D line being terrible we didnt have the ball much on offense, but that long early drive when we fumbled the trick play at the end? Go watch Caleb cook he was on fire, and so calm - it looked easy. And the end of the game too. A real winner and difference maker. If you could trade Caleb for ANY QB in the league to roll with for the next 5 years - cap aside, just straight up - who would you take? Id stay with Caleb. Thats who he is. The signs were there from the start, and its all coming together now as Ben Johnson teaches him how to actually play the position.
  14. The way Green Bay lost is the way the Bears used to lose. I really wanted to run them into the ground but missing guys like Rome and Luther, who both block well, had an effect. But FGB, it’s nice to see their fans know how this feels. Especially because we are a team on the rise… and they know it.
  15. its incredible and theres so much room for improvement too! And if we had a pass rush, wed have more possessions too
  16. usually that's the kind of thing Rodgers did to us. Caleb is getting there. Im telling you guys - CW is for REAL.
  17. And we have arguably our two most challenging games of the season ahead of us.
  18. 56.9 air yards on that TD pass to Moore, in that crazy wind, which makes it even that much of a better throw.
  19. Caleb has two things going for him, he believes in himself and never gives up.
  20. 22 or more points in 14 out of 15 games, with the only game lower than 22 pts is 19 pts.
  21. If 2-0 = #1 seed or #2 seed, 50/50. If 1-1 = #2 seed, 100. If 0-2 = #7 seed or miss playoffs, 75/25. DET needs to win out
  22. Caleb has two games to break the record. I would say our opponents need to play all 70 minutes to beat us.
  23. We have a hell of a team here. Caleb is becoming elite right in front of us, right on schedule. And we are doing all of this without a shred of a D line. Imagine how scary we will be with an actual pass rush. We need to do whatever it takes, trade whoever is necessary; JJ, Moore whoever to get one. Draft them too. You add a pass rush to this train and we are real killers.
  24. I'm not watching the replay of the whole game but will watch the OT. Lots of bad today but I don't care. I will never bad mouth Caleb again even if he throws 5 interceptions in a game. Talk of trading DJ Moore after the season needs to go away. He's a gamer. We are now in the driver's seat, we have two wins yet but I'm not even considering we might lose. Blackwell recovered the onside kick. DuShoun Wright caused that fumble in OT. I love this team, stop any negative talk and enjoy what just happened.
