Bradbury had a particularly bad game too.

The good part about him is he is highlycompetitive, pretty smart and should start showing up positively. I am more concerned with his ST blocking the most. Maybe coach Hightower needs to be put on notice because we have seen this way too often. One the last 3 seasons on something that shouldn't happen.

Will agree with almost all that. (Not a fan of banging on him nor blaming him for the loss - I am ok with him taking reps on the 3rd string offense for a bit). Learning the position may explain why we didn’t see Loveland until later in his own rookie season.

TE is the second most difficult position to learn after QB. Roush has a lot on his plate to be playing these meaningful minutes as a rookie, week 2. If anything, it is on BJ for putting him in these situations. He is now the most hated Bear and being called another wasted 3rd Rd pick with Garrett being a close 2nd. I say give the kid time.

Yeah he had a really bad game. But hes young, and his tape is great, so i think it's one of those give it a little time things. But you can bet the coaches are ALL over him this week, and rightfully so.

Agreed. I think Bagent can manage the offense just fine. I have faith that BJ will design the offense accordingly. Its not like he had a super mobile QB in Goff while in Detroit and did just fine. My take is he needs to stick with the run...and give Roush some more time in 3rd team reps until he learns to catch and block. oy vey.

Where is the Bagent fan club? Most, if not all, of us thought highly of Bagent before this injury. Sure, he is nowhere near the QB that Caleb is, but how many starting QBs in the league are? I'm certainly not expecting the Bears to wilt away and die with Bagent as the starter.

Did the math and Chicago’s offense is still averaging 31 points a game. So there’s that. 🤷‍♂️

Hard to say where to start but up front should always be the start. The Defense didnt give up much but Wentz wasnt very accurate either. He seemed to have a pretty clean pocket most of the day too.

MIght as well start this one up early. Don't want to be all doom and gloom, but Bagent against PHI and NYJ defenses the next two weeks are pretty much losses. Then at 1-3 in the easiest part of the schedule projects to a 7-8 win season.

That one in scoring position, wasn't a drop IMO. It looked more like a PBU. The early one was not good.

Yes. I get that Minny was in pass pro for most of Bagent’s appearance, but he sure did look good in the pocket (save that last sack) with good solid passes. Problem is, and this goes back to last week, when I was curious is it Williams or line causing him to run so much? If it’s the latter - yes Bagent will have some issues.

He really didn’t shine at all today. Dropped a pass in scoring position and another (?) earlier in the game. Wife thinks both he and JJ should be fired. Said she’s gonna make a sign for next week that reads “Johnson Sucks”.

I am hoping we get excellent news. He walked out on his own - hopefully this is a less then 4 week injury. When that happened I thought he was done for the year. This is one of those games where the bears will learn a lot from!

Sloppy offense all the way around. Film review won’t be kind to offense. Lots of mistakes but they still were a play away from winning. Get better fast Caleb and solid work defense! Rousch…ugh. Snapping situation on special teams ugh…penalties ugggh.

Two glaring things that stood out to me from this game: -Ben Johnson is really bad against NFC North defensive coordinators -The Bears receivers might suck 3rd time in a row Brian Flores thoroughly outcoached Ben Johnson. They blitzed over 70% of the game and our receivers still couldn't get open. They had zero answers for anything. The OL got pushed around all game again, too. Colston Loveland only has 1 catch this season. Really discouraging sign for Mr. offensive genius who wants to break scoring records. Maybe just focus on looking better against quality coaches instead of bum slaying? If Caleb Williams ends up on IR, the season's over anyways. How quickly things can change. Back to being miserable...

I heard that Caleb was seen after the game walking around the locker room with no noticeable limp. Still need confirmation on that but I'm hopeful this isn't a badly torn hamstring.
