Music has splintered into so many sub genres, since the internet and streaming changed the nature of what a hit song is and who hears it. It's really difficult to find a performer who is young and relevant, and known by everyone in the family. Some few do break out, but to find someone that for example the players would think was cool, and mom and dad at home with the kids all can sing along with is kinda impossible now. And that's gonna be an ongoing problem even after Bad Bunny does his thing.

I will probably skip the half-time show. I don't speak Spanish. Bad Bunny can speak English, but has insisted that all of his music be in Spanish. I can't see him changing his commitment to his native language, and that's fine. However, I would not enjoy the show if I had no idea what the lyrics were. I wonder if they may have two performers? I believe they've done this before.
-
I'm not here to start anything, but simply don't understand the choosing of this artist for the Superbowl. He doesn't sing in English. I've been blasted on other platforms for being racist, old and out of touch. To me, it's the demographic. I'm being told the demographic is not what I believe it is. I don't get it..

Great points. You have moved my grade to C-. If Booker and Turner pan out on the DL, he gets to C+. It's gonna take both though.

The Bears have one of the lowest snap counts for drafted players, yet have had extra higher draft picks in the last few years which should translate into more snaps. I feel like he is at about a "D" at this point. If you auto-drafted based on mock draft pre-draft rankings, you would be a "C" as a GM. Poles has drafted worse than that. If you look at the trades, the Bears have lost pretty much every one of them, except for the Carolina trade, and even that one was a no-brainer. So it is not like Poles worked the Panthers into a crazy return. It was market value and he got Moore instead of Burns, which forced him to overpay for Sweat who has underwhelmed. Same with getting Ben Johnson, it was a no-brainer hire. He drafted a punter over Bucky Irving when there was a need at RB. Velus Jones, Pickens, and Amegadjie. You can't miss in the top 75 every year, yet he does. I liked the Thuney trade, but didn't like the Bates trade. I like the Dalman signing, but he overpaid for Odeyingbo. So if you just assessed each move as a plus, minus, or push, he would have more minuses than pluses, which lands him with a D for me.

Year one: he inherited a team with a terrible o-line, cap hell and no number one receiver. Not much to do, but fix the cap and try to accumulate picks. Year two: we get year three of the Justin experiment. Terrible o-line, the DJ Moore trade, Flus, Darnell Wright, Sweat and still no pass rush. Year three: the payoff. Draft Caleb and Rome. Terrible o-line, no pass rush and flus fired. Drafted a punter in the fourth instead of trench help. Year four: draft offensive weapons Loveland and Burden. Traded and signed entirely new IOL. Left tackle problems continue, no pass rush and no running game yet. History may judge him for not drafting an LT and EDGE with the first two picks of this draft. Nobody will ever know the truth about the who and why of coaches and players, due to how the organization was run. I believe Warren has been a stabilizing influence on Poles. Poles is young and will continue to grow. For him to get above average, he must get LT, pass rush, RB, S and LB. All upgrades! He says it would be a five year process and I think he's a year behind schedule, given that he will have to hit big to fix LT and pass rush. My grade: C A very incomplete grade at that. I left a ton of info on the table, so fire away with your thoughts...

Bingo. Add in historical underperformance in prime time games and I’d say the odds are probably right. It will take a stellar game from someone to win this one.
-
It’s actually crazy how long this has gone on considering I was once removed from being an admin because I took out actual political content. But now there is an all out war without repercussion. As if the Bears team itself doesn’t cause enough unnecessary stress.
-
For how well Mayfield and Darnold have turned it around, that is definitely a strong class, just without a SB win.
-
Yeah, rarely does that work out.

Here's a video that shows Monangai and explains a few carries that affects his overall stats. He had one where they blitz and caught him in the backfield that cost him a 7 yard loss and a 11 run that was called back with a holding call (questionable) that didnt get into his stats.

If the Bears traded Moore, they could fit Crosby or Simmons under the cap pretty easily.
-
Those are just the players I’d be interested in trading for. I have no clue on availability but never rule anything out among the teams needing a QB. Teams can find RBs off practice squads. We know that because the Bears have done that.

I would love to have all three but with Crosby being paid 106 mil over the next 3 yrs, and Simmons-75 mil those seem out of reach plus the players or picks it would cost. Hall is in his last yr of his contract but Allen is our for most of the season, so Isaiah Davis is the only other RB besides Hall. He has never been over 1000 yds in his first 3 yrs. He is better than Swift but are they ready to cash the season in after 5 games? They have a first yr coach, not sure he is ready to give up yet. He was in Detroit when they went 1-6 and finish 9-8. Hall and Swift would be a good duo but I dont think Jets are ready to dumb players. They have 13 on the injury list with several ready to come back. I think decisions will be made at the trading deadline on Nov 4th, so they get a better read of how the season goes. After going 2-2, and players coming off injury, I think the Bears will see how the next 4 games go before they make changes.

OFF vs DEF EPA Comparison Right now the worst component for either team is CHI's Offensive Rush attack that has a -0.16 EPA/P which is downright terrible. On the flip side, the best component is WAS's Rush attack at +0.09. CHI OFF (Pass +0.01 / Rush -0.16) vs WAS DEF (Pass +0.03 / Rush -0.07) Pass +0.04 / Rush -0.23 Composites Diff +0.27 WAS OFF (Pass +0.04 / Rush +0.09) vs CHI DEF (Pass -0.05 / Rush +0.01) Pass -0.01 / Rush +0.10 Composites Diff +0.11 The bottom line is the Bears either need to magically fix their running game, or pass more to offset how negative the run game is. The Bears have faced the 1st, 3rd, 26th, and 31st defenses while WAS has faced 9th, 12th, 15th, 25th, and 26th defenses. WAS is 22nd in EPA, so they are closer to OAK/DAL than they are to DET/MIN. CHI is 20th in EPA, which is closest to 15th (GB), who WAS lost to. So there is that too.

For sure Simmons is my top target too. I'd give up a 2nd but not sure that's enough. I've got tradeable players that I'd toss in too: Kmet, or Moore, and possibly Braxton Jones although he'd be more dressing on the deal. On Crosby that's exactly what I was thinking. Raiders get a pick, keep some stability at the position and more roster flexibility (i.e. cap space) to do as they wish. Both require cap space so a trade of a player is likely.

Thanks for the info. We need Booker to play like he did this preseason. I hope he is ready for action.
-
They designated Booker and Homer for return. They have a 21 day window to place them on the active roster.
-
Booker is a good rotational piece and still has lots of room to grow, but I dont think he is an immediate impact, or will fix our pass rush this year? I hope he reaches his potential and becomes and awesome stud, but I think he is a #3 right now, and we will still look for impact pass rushers in trade, free agency or the draft coming up.
-
Has anyone heard if Booker will be back this week? I have seen no announcement that they have opened up the window for him to suit up and be evaluated for game reps. We need him big time for our pass rush.
-
I like all three. Simmons would probably be most worth it. Crosby would be very expensive. On a side note, if Booker shows he's a keeper, we could trade Montez and Dexter for Crosby. Then, send a pick for Simmons...
-
If we could find a way to get Maxx Crosby, that'd be amazing. He is a one man wrecking crew. And we know he likes Caleb. His contract is set up so that the Raiders can trade him without too much cap destruction, and his contract has a cap cost of between $27M and $30M the next few years. Not bad at all! Plus he's only 28.
-
There are 3 players I’m interested in. Jeffrey Simmons. Max Crosby. Breece Hall. I believe the first two are signed for at least two more seasons. Hall will need a new contract which makes him a more challenging option.

I cant wait for Monday to come. On X and Youtube, lots of people saying we are linked to different players to bring in on the DL and RB. I dont know if we have the answer on the team but Im not sure the Bears are in emergency mode to go after someone or that someone is actually available that could help. Latest I seen was Cam Jordan. He has two sacks and would not be expensive . Basically would be around 7 mil left on salary but NO has never stated they want to dump contracts. In 5 games he has 2 sacks but at 36 does DA want to give him snaps that he would give to Austin Booker that will be back this week? Being 2-2 and having several players coming back from injury, I think they roll with what they have an if things dont improve, maybe try to find someone at the trading deadline. I dont think they are quite in panic mode just yet.
