  1. Past hour

  2. Since the Bears traded a 5th for Bradbury, this trade basically becomes Bradbury + Phillips for Dexter.
  3. They must really feel comfortable with van den Berg. Also, they are still waiting for Dexter to move after the snap.
  4. I am surprised the Bears only got a 5th for him. Feels like Poles got fleeced by his understudy. Dexter was a former 2nd round pick, and was only 24 years old. The Falcons added a player they were going to cut anyway.
  5. They can go from one play with a 4-WR set with that speed, then come back to 13-personnel with Loveland, Kmet, and Roush.
  6. Yeah, any injury to Caleb would basically derail the season. Bagent provides the best insurance policy on the market.
  7. Today

  8. Im optimistic because of BJ and Caleb. In their second year together, they will put us in the top 5 scoring teams that will affect the D, less time on the field and teams having come back in a game. I think the reason the defense was so bad last year is because of major injuries. We have more talent than the stats showed last year. Like Mongo said, adding all that speed and upgrade at DT will help us get more pressure on the QB. Bryant was a major blow, but the depth is better and will make that less important. Healthy DBs and more speed at LB, will have better results. I liked DJ Moore a lot but we have more weapons than last year. The additions of speed. Raymond and Thomas is huge. With the development of Loveland and Burden and running the 12 and 13 sets, our offense will be hard to defend. Caleb will have a huge year.
  9. BJ is going to attack defense weaknesses and he has the horses to do it. Burden-Loveland-Rome-Thomas-Raymond. Thomas/4.28 Raymond/4.34 Burden/4.41 Rome/4.45 Loveland/4.65
  10. How many teams will be willing to go single high safety when Loveland and Zavion are on the field?
  11. Thomas looked good too.
  12. Terrel Smith looked good and Bagent was great. Nice way to finish the preseason.
  13. Thomas is going to be a big part of BJ scheming him special plays. Speed is insane.. First guy that needs to be cut is Mason Murphy. He was terrible. I like Lynch, his constant motor keeps disrupting plays even those he doesnt fill the stat line. Its probably between Lynch and Loving, I like both. Terrell Smith was playing well and Cam Lewis had his named mentioned a lot. Prince played well for a nobody knows who he is.
  14. For sure. If he is going somewhere to start, a second is a bargain. The Bears will need to replace him with a good back up and that is not cheap either. We can go young again and I expect that, but having a #2 vet is key.
  15. Yesterday

  16. I know others disagree, thinking I'm unrealistic in my expectations, but I swear I wouldn't trade him unless offered a 2nd-rounder.
  17. Loved his run and lowering his shoulder and getting back up all fired up.
  18. 16/17 for 208 yards and 2 TDs. I think Bagent just raised the stakes for anyone who wants to trade for him.
  19. Had to rewind this game since I got to theTV at 5:30. Nice throw by Bagent to Thomas for 98 yds, 1st play on O. The Bears have so many offensive weapons that its going to be hard to feed these guys. Rome, Luther, Loveland, Raymond, Walker, Thomas, Kmet, Rousch, is sickening. Now, I know the D needs pieces but wow this offense can be special
  20. Special teams sucked to start the game. But Z Thomas, WOW!! Speed to spare! He is going to be special. Correction. He is special.
  21. Please keep all of our starters on the sidelines! Turn everything over to 2nd- and 3rd-stringers, potential backups, and PS.
  22. The reason I'm optimistic, this year, is because Tom Thayer is finally optimistic. He hasn't been this optimistic since 05. The reason for this optimism is surprising on one end and quite simple on the other. Simple reason: Ben Johnson. Thayer is the insider that knows what a solid program looks like and he claims to have seen none better than what BJ has established.(I believe him). Combine all that with year two of the offense and magic may become reality. Referencing everything from huddle control to the LOS, Caleb and the returning vets are in sync, while having the ability to correct the youngsters in real time. That will pay big dividends on penalty reduction and play success. Penalties play a huge role as a drive killer for various reasons, from down and distance to rhythm to psychological let down. Plus, it gives the defense a chance to regroup and gain positivity. My expectation for this offense is to improve in yards, points, penalties and TOP. The surprising reason for optimism is the additions to the DL. He says that they are all explosive off the ball and have sideline to sideline motors. At this point, I'll add my optimism. Tremaine Edmunds is no longer on the roster. I'm not calling him a bad football player. He simply didn't fit. All of our current Lb's are "hat in the hole" guys. If you know, you know. An improved run defense will be such an important factor in helping the pass rush. It's hard to measure how much the other team will be off the field but they'll need to convert on third and longer more than last year. I'm not stating the D is going to be good and neither is Thayer. What I will say, is that I believe it will be solid enough to win. And remember, the trade deadline can sometimes throw a team over the top.
  23. I like vitamin P...
  24. Let’s have a good crisp game with good health for both squads!
  25. agree with both
  26. Make sure you add that vitamin K while taking D to get optimal absorption 😜
  27. Get Kyler some vitamin D. Demonstrated to reduce soft tissue injuries Also been shown to reduce concussions and CTE I only posted this in case folks have family playing contact sports. Now back to football https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12962981/
