Didnt Kyle start last year with some nagging injuries? I think last year worked out. As long as Swift is healthy, this is a minor distraction. Ahmad or Johnson can cover a few games with touches.

I think with Kiran and Wills playing LT , no one stuck out and they are looking at all options. Braxton with Ozzy coming back, probably gets put on the 4 week short list PUP, is their plan. It makes sense to have Theo play some LT if they go with the swing T instead of 4 OTs on the 53.

Playing Theo at LT tells me that they really didn't like what they saw at RT. I certainly didn't. He was terrible. IMO, Theo is an OG. IMO x2, I believe Jones is LT 1 until Ozzy is ready. Will Izzy be ready in three weeks, not likely.

If this means we get a full season of Kyler I'll forget how he missed all offseason and preseason. It does bother and worry me but until the real season starts, ill pretend he is giving reps to make others better.

Thought I’d share this meme I saw.

This is how I've seen that group from the beginning. I said, Benedet is the floor of the group. Some may have wild potential upside, but Benedet is the worst it will get for us at LT, because his worst is the best of the bunch. His worst is serviceable. I dont believe any of the other three are. And of course i think Trapilo, if he looks like last year, is the obvious best of the bunch if he is available. But a couple of weeks ago, even when everyone (all the writers) were saying Benedet is out of the competition now, I held true to what I'd seen. I knew that couldn't be correct. And at least as far as the claim that he was out of the running, and only a backup for RT are concerned, thats obviously now proven false. Will they choose Braxton over Benedet? Remains to be seen, but in my view it's Benedet by a mile.

Theo moved to LT today with the first string. Wills and Amegadjie started taking reps at RT. IMO that confirms who our swing tackle will be. It also tells me the coaches are feeling good about Ozzy. That’s not to say Ozzy will be ready to start week one. I think it indicates they will need or want him to have a roster spot on the 53. IIRC he can’t go back on the PUP so that would mean IR designated to return. Which is out at least 6weeks? If they feel he’ll be ready to play sooner than that I think he stays a game day inactive for a few weeks. All of that to say they don’t have a lot of confidence in Braxton, nor the other options, and want their best backup options available sooner than later. I wouldn’t even rule out trading Braxton soon.

Apparently Braxton Jones took first team snaps at LT today and Benedet took second team snaps at LT. The idea that Benedet was out of the picture at LT seems to have been to focus the competition between Amagadje and Wills, and not because he was out of it? And hopefully all of that becomes moot with Trapilo coming back!

Just read that Thomas and Woods were participating in practice today, but now Bagent is nursing a hammy. Great to hear Woods and Thomas are back. Saw a video of Braxton and Ozzy practicing together. Nice to get some good news for a change.

I’m with you on the RBs.

I’m curious what a few weeks means? Is this 2 weeks or 6 weeks…if 2-3 weeks he should be back by week 1. I do think they should look to see who gets cut at rb or even look at one of the free agent running backs.

He is still recovering from tearing his ACL last season. It seemed to be that he was going to be back week 1 but at this point it seems like that wound be in jeopardy. I wonder if he had a set back cause I thought he was close at some of the mini camps and I haven’t heard anything since - but it is still less than 12 months since his surgery.

My guy, Monangai! This one stinks the most because it was supposed to be a light practice after the game. Grady wants to tackle, let him dress next week and play the whole game.

This makes the announcement about Ozzy returning to practice to ramp up for the season even more impressive. If I remember correctly (and I have already proven my memory is not so great), Turner went down early in the season, whereas Ozzy went down in the postseason? I wouldn't get so worked up if they would give us actual updates on his progress.

He blew out his knee last year and is still in rehab. I wouldn’t put him in the Same bucket as Gordon.

Have they said what Turner's injury is? Another "soft tissue" problem? Groin? Pec? Calf? ???? I had high expectations for the guy. I'm as disappointed in his constant no-shows as I am in Gordon's.
