  1. Past hour
  2. I was discussing the Bears - you were implying that trading DJ didnt open up cap space, I said you were wrong. Then you said you just meant that there is dead cap space, um, there is always dead cap space, what matters is how much cap space the move opens, and you know this, we all know this, you read the chart wrong and now youre tap dancing like you didnt. Just stop trying to get me, you wont. Im not saying cap stuff that isnt true. You just want to fight and i REALLY dont. I do want to talk about the Bears, and if that includes clearing up something you posted that was factually incorrect, then thats OK. Now drop it. PLEASE. PLEASE.
  3. The only time I have engaged with you in the last month is when you said I posted false information. If you don't respond to my posts, I won't respond to yours. Stop playing Mr Innocent. (Just for everyone reading, those numbers arent true. If we Trade DJ, we open up $16.5M, and if the trade is a post June 1st trade, then it opens up $24.5M in space.)
  4. It's possible the Niners will play the Seahawks hard, but i can see them resting people too. I guess I'm used to the games not mattering much this time of year, but usually it's because we are out of it, not because we have the division locked up and a likely 2nd seed. Lets Go!
  5. Was just gonna ask about this. As it stands currently Bears could get #1 (week off), get #2 and replay the Pack or #3 and play the Eagles (again) or NFC South champ?
  6. If bears win out and seahawk lose next week to niners then bears have 1 seed. Problem is I think if niners lose they probably sit their starters next week vs Seahawks
  7. Today
  8. With the Seahawks win today I think they have clinched the 1 seed. I believe unless we lose out and Philly wins out we’re pretty much locked into the 2 seed.
  9. This ‘illness’ was cited on the Packers pregame injury list. A handful of players were noted as having some bug. They also lost by 17 to Baltimore…at home. Agree that now is the time to have players get it out of their system. https://www.packers.com/team/injury-report/
  10. at some point maybe someone will give you a week's ban or at least tell you to stop. I shouldnt have to just keep taking it without the ability to respond. It feels like since you have Pix on your side that youre just gonna keep taking jabs assuming i am unable to respond because he will ban me again. But I would rather be banned than be someones bitch, so if i have to ramp it up again i will. so cut it out so we can all live in peace here. Maybe some other members can give you some good advice about this too, since they felt free to tell me to stop too?
  11. Sounds like Kittle is unlikely to play. If the Bears don't have Wright, that's a huge loss, particularly with their run game. The one thing SF does well on defense is defend the run. Not ideal.
  12. Every season is a new range of rankings . KC, Baltimore, Washington, Detroit, take your pick on the one people thought were going on a SB run.
  13. You might very well have found the solution, Poles trades up for a stud. Our first, third, JJ or Edmunds?
  14. There are very few of those players in the league. Cleveland and Vegas are fighting for the worst record in spite of those two players. Parsons never got Dallas to a championship run and now in GB gets injured. GB threw a bunch of assets for Parsons and is hurt. That's the chance you take with so much reliance on one player. A few more injuries and lose 3 in a row. Hendeichson has been good for 4 yrs, nothing to show for it in Cincinnati. My point is a great pass rusher doesn't get you to the promise land regularly. We have the Coach and the QB now they just need to add to the recipe. Let's not make the same mistake that GB did. IMO
  15. Poles promised us that we would take the North and he delivers in yr 4 if his 5 yr rebuild. It was an overwhelming situation when he got here The Cap was upside down, lots of old over paid players and a bad culture from bad coaches. He found the right QB, found the right coach and slowly built a team although IMO, an odd way but we are on the verge of a possible SB run. Lots of bad decisions along the way but still got us here.
  16. Ill keep coming back with what I think, because I don't see a draft picks bringing that last needed element. 3T or DE that commands the respect to take take over games. Hendrickson might be a good rotational piece, but at his point in his career, id rather trade up for a better prospect. I keep doing mocks and cannot get the player needed with were we are at.
  17. (I like this board, I prefer not to debate with Stinger)
  18. Darnell Wright - Questionable & not traveling with team due to illness. Nick McCloud - Didn’t practice all week. OUT Sunday with illness. Josh Blackwell - Didn’t practice all week. Questionable Sunday due to illness. Nahshon Wright - Didn’t practice Friday & Questionable Sunday due to illness. Devin Duvernay & D’Marco Jackson - Expected to give it a go Sunday despite illness.
  19. I think like 5-6 missed practice from illness and they already had one of the DBs out due to illness (don’t recall if it was McCloud or someone else). My guess is those are just some of them. Maybe better it happens now than during the playoffs…build that immunity now
  20. The conversation about Swift and Kmet not being good enough was one thing - and then Swift started playing like he never had before, and i said that he had played himself back on the team many weeks ago. We all saw Swift run and said similar things after the bye. The discussion about Moore and Jaylon Johnson wasnt that they werent good enough, it was about their cap space. So that's different. If youre going to bring someone in, even a highly paid free agent, you need to clear cap room for them, and there are only a few players who can do that. The LT conversation didnt include Trapilo because he was off of most people's radar for the draft - a right tackle - so the discussion was that Braxton wasnt good enough. And that we should draft one of the good left tackles. No one at the time expected Benedet to develop like that, and until we drafted Trapilo no one was thinking about him either. None of us had him in predraft lists. After we drafted him, and saw a couple preseason games, I said I thought he would beat Braxton out. I was right that Braxton sucks, but I didnt even consider Benedet, and I had hope for Trapilo - I still do. So the rewritten history lesson should not then stand as proof that we can roll with what we have on the D line. It's apples and oranges. We need killers on the D line. And I trust we will find a way to get some. Sweat, Dayo and Booker are not enough by far. All could be good in supporting roles to a stud Edge and something new and disruptive at 3T.
  21. This is such a strange team! On one hand we get turnovers, and our offense is taking steps every week. On the other hand I've never seen a team win so many games without a pass rush. I keep expecting it to catch up with us. But you know what? if we are a weird formula for a team that wins, who am I to say no? I believe this team can beat any team we play, and at the same time I still dont know how without a pass rush! I CAN say that they have now achieved the goals I had for them this year, and there are two games yet to play! WOW. Divisional Champs sure sounds good. Can they keep the magic going? Why not! Lets go!
  22. I find this conversation similar to the preseason conversation that we needed another RB because Swift wasn't a #1 and we had no idea what Monangai would do. For me, I need to just trust what BJ and Poles decides will turn out. Also it appears we have the LT if the future which was a topic of conversation. Injuries has hurt our defense all year and we are still 11-4. I think they figure it out after the season is over.
