  2. Yes fix the middle of the defense at all three levels
  3. For sure. We dont HAVE to do anything, but we can do what we want. Now the DL, that needs help Im sure you agree. And we will need a LB and probably a safety, maybe a CB too, but we need DT and Edge both.
  4. The best thing in all this saga is that we don’t have to do anything with DJ. I believe all options are on the table. Despite the occasional miscues our WR corps is still better with DJ. Can he become a means but which we can make the team overall better? Maybe but Poles can evaluate the options without desperation.
  5. Totally agree DJ wont get better than a 3, too bad but it is what it is. The question, to me, is what his value to the team is worth, vs opening opportunities for the other WRs to step up, and the message in terms of accountability. Obviously clearing $16M off the cap is really helpful too, but i dont know enough about contract restructuring to know what's possible in those scenarios if they do want to keep him. Ive heard some pretty crazy claims about how low the numbers might be from the TTNL guy Cars who is really good with this stuff, but I dont understand how its possible with only one void year? But again, I dont really understand that stuff that well. I do think there is going to be a lot of activity this offseason, especially on the defense. At least 4 new starters, maybe more.
  6. If the Bears do trade him, it will be for a 3rd or 4th rd pick. The dream scenarios of landing Crosby takes a lot more work to fit his salary that will need to be done ahead of time since the league cannot accept the trade if it puts the Bears over. Plus they need a plethora of Safeties and inside D-linemen. So I see a 3rd at best and maybe use that created cap on another Edge (Mack?)
  7. totally agree. I used to think it was keep him or trade him, but now I think maybe they can restructure him to a number that is more commensurate with his productivity and value. I wouldnt mind seeing him gone for the half assed effort tho. Hes definitely a talented player, and great with the ball in his hands after the catch like a running back, but Luther Burden is too, and I think Ben is building a culture of accountability. I wouldnt be surprised if he is gone, but it wouldnt be a total shock if they keep him at a lower cap number. My gut says hes gone, but it's not an obvious answer I guess.
  8. I am good with keeping him if they can get his contract renegotiated. I would have a talk and let him know hes either getting traded or renegotiating. Give him performance bonuses to encourage excellence. The Bears need cap, re-haul the defense, and have many talented players to feed, so he is the first contract eyes are on.

  10. Youd like that. Its what you actually want, and then to play hurt feelings and blame me LOL how pathetic. I'm just gonna keep it to the Bears. You can do whatever you think makes you look good or whatever the hell youre trying to do. This is all so cringey. Grow up dude.
  11. well thats rude, and not much of an argument. DJ Moores comment came out today, so I was adding that to the discussion. Keeping him or trading him is one of the biggest questions of the offseason, and that's just starting, so i think its fine for me to talk about DJ Moore. Seriously, try not to be a jerk if you can? Ive kinda had it with being the bad guy in your little drama. Do uyou remember why you hate me? It's because you said Braxton Jones was good and i said I saw stuff on tape that discounted that. Then you said because you played Offensive Line, I shouldnt have an opinion on it. When I said I would continue to have opinions anyway you declared I was your enemy. So please, grow up. Lets talk about football? This hurt feelings business is getting out of hand on here. I'll continue to talk about the Bears however I want to, and without needing your permission. Thanks.
  12. So now we have heard from both Caleb and DJ Moore about tht pass where the Rams intercepted the ball. Both called it a miscommunication. That means it wasnt an errant throw by Caleb. And sure DJ jogged the last part of the route, but even if he had run full speed, he wouldnt have made it to the ball the way he was going. I think this proves what the analysts said about DJ should have broken his route sooner, underneath the coverage. Hes made that mistake before too - in the Packers game where the ball was intercepted in the left front of the end zone. And another time, when we have film of Caleb yelling at him to undercut the safety. So this wasnt a one off, but a consistent error made over and over. What to do about it is debatable, but the issue is clearly true.
  13. Last week
  14. no kidding. the whole thing is a farce anyway.
  15. However, if he does move onto another GM position that does have responsibility, ATL gets 2 comp picks. That is what makes this whole thing absurd. Either give picks to everyone or no one.
  16. It IS a strange idea. The best rationalization i came up with (and Im not saying this is true, just the only thing i could think of) is that it is a step up in responsibility even if he doesnt have FINAL say, and since he doesnt have final say he can still move on to a team that wants him to be a GM WITH final say after this move? Also, it's going to be more money too. But after turning down other jobs, this is strange I agree. Im looking forward to what the final contract actually says.
  17. I have been quietly on the sidelines throughout this mess thinking that it didn’t make sense Cunningham would take a lateral move to a position where he didn’t have final say over the roster.

    Bears Free Agents

That is a very legit concern.
  19. The OC implemented the plays BJ called. Offensive coordinator. Everyone liked him has a bright mind but he was hired when BJ couldn't bring in who he wanted. Now older connections are available. We actually may be getting an upgrade at that position. The Jets OC, and two friends from Detroit.
  20. My problem is Maxx just had his 8th knee surgery this season. It pauses me to wonder when it will slow him down. Sweat and Crosby both had 10 sacks this year. He has missed 7 games the last two years. I prefer someone more healthy. Brought to you by San Miguel Light
  21. Id rather have Crosby too, but I think that while the cap cost will be similar, the trade cost will be too much for us. But thats just a guess.
  22. Sean Payton raved about him too. He’s a really bright mind…might be a year or two too early but he’s worked a few years with two of the better offensive minds in this league.
  23. Id be happy if you and your sponsor are right.
  24. Only if they fire the HC after 1 year. I think he will be a good OC and maybe should have been more here with all those 4th down and goals we blew.
