  1. Today
  2. I was trying to look for some trends for this game, but in general, the Saints have been so bad under Rattler and over the last two years, there is not much to find. However, I did notice that in their only win and Rattler's first (1-12), he did not take a sack, nor did he throw an INT. NO is 1-1 when he doesn't take a sack, and winless when he takes at least one. For Williams, the Bears are 1-6 when he doesn't throw a TD pass but are 4-0 when he is sack 1 or fewer times in a game. They are 4-14 when he is sacked 2 or more times. So the formula is at least 1 TD pass with 1 or fewer sacks for Williams.
  3. To answer your first question: for him, the viewers and the detractors. Why is it he’s not touring the US? But still leading worldwide in listeners? That group to include the younger generation of the US and as i said earlier surely on many NFL players’ playlists. Taken at face value you can choose to be entertained when he performs or not. It’s only halftime, the perfect time to eat a few hot dogs and burgers and guzzle down a few beers . 🍻
  4. Caleb is my guy, but really liked Maye before the draft. I think Maye is going to be the best of them all. Followed by Caleb, Daniels, Nix and Penix.
  5. I think the top 3 are really comparable with different elite traits. The one factor that has to be considered is the opponents. The difference between Maye in 2024 and 2025 is the absolute cream puff schedule he has this year. So I would expect him to lead all 2024 QBs in passing this year just based on that alone. Daniels had that last year. WAS was 1-4 against playoff teams and 11-1 against non-playoff teams. Daniels and Nix are in Year 2 of the same offense as well. So thru Week 6 in Year 2, Caleb has had the toughest SOS and is already on his 3rd play caller, OC, and HC. Penix and Rattler are with Caleb, on their 2nd coaching staff and have harder schedules. 1. Maye -coaching staff change, +schedule 2. Williams -coaching staff change, -schedule 3. Daniels +lack of coaching change, +schedule 4. Penix -coaching staff change, -schedule 5. Nix +lack of coaching change, +schedule 6. Rattler -coaching staff change, -schedule 7. McCarthy -always injured One last note on Maye, he has never thrown for more than 287 yards, and the most passing TDs in one game is 3, which he has done only twice. Caleb has 4x 300-yard games and 2x 4 TD passing games. Daniels has one game over 275 passing yards, the Hail Mary game against the Bears. That one stupid play gave him a career high, and his only 300-yd passing game of his career to this point.
  6. This! I believe we saw him tweak the offense to better suit Swift last week, now’s the time to actually deploy the rest of the talent you have on the team.
  7. Saw earlier in the week that Swift was listed on the injury report. Something to do with leg/groin(?). I believe he was listed as a full participant by Thursday. Might be looking for some on game insurance . Plus in reading up on him, he also played for Detroit and tried out earlier this season for Chicago. Sounds like he’s towards the end of his career and having a hard time getting a full time gig.
  8. They had the same punter in last week to help the returners.
  9. Everything is on tape and the NFL brass need to call out the bad decisions and see if it keeps happening to certain refs. I wonder if the demotion penalty means they do Bear games.
  10. so none you know of have been fired for poor performance? also was wondering what were they demoted to? how does that work?
  11. I think in 5 years this group is going to be looked at as a great QB draft. Daniels is still the probable best QB drafted that year. Maye is taking a giant step forward and Caleb is not far behind. I think the star comes out late in games when the top QBs do their thing. Caleb has that, he just needs to clean up his accuracy and decision making which BJ came here to do.
  12. right! you mean the only team to score at least 21 points in every game, and thats true! we are seeing moments and flashes and statistical gems that tell us we are making progress. we just need to be more consistent now, until we are tough to beat.
  13. Something in Caleb's corner; the Bears are the only team in the NFL to score 21+ PPG.
  14. Yesterday
  15. Oof, Loveland would be 20th.
  16. Kmet is a gamer. A lot of teams would love to have him. Even in this last game, he made a catch and was immediately met by a WAS defender. He dragged the guy trying to tackle him another five yards to reach the first down marker. Of course, it was nullified by a bogus call. As I said in another thread, I'm anxious to see BJ incorporate the 12 personnel packages he is known to use. We have 2 K.A. TEs. Let's GO!
  17. It definitely is. I wrote validation protocols in a FDA regulated environment, so I can get pretty whacky. What about a Taser to the groin upon the thought of impropriety?...🤪
  18. Is it all on Kmet, Caleb, the OC? I may have seen a few plays schemed to the TE a game. I don't think Ben is ready to release TE plays until the oline and run games are solid. Also, as stated by others, there are a lot of mouths to feed.
  19. as atrocious as some of these games have been over the years, has a single ref ever been fired? are they reprimanded, suspended for a period of time? if not then this system is totally broken.
  20. Performance is reviewed extensively. Graded and everything. But it comes down to who reviews them having the skills and knowledge to do so. Which means former officials. And those former officials know the current ones. They worked with them. They agree philosophically with them. It’s way harder to fix it than you think. As for gambling, that’s a 100% negative for all of them. But if the NBA gambling thing proved anything, it’s still possible even though it’s illegal.
  21. Same. I actually have known of Bad Bunny for a long time. And I like one of his songs. But the question was whether or not his being American was a source of pride.
  22. that seems a bit extreme for every game. maybe take one once a month? better yet have a quality control team that also looks into this to check for discrepancies. something to keep this game honest especially in this day and age of legal gambling.
  23. The only thing that would help is making the refs pass a polygraph before taking the field.
  24. That was for play balls. Then they had K balls for kicking. Kickers said it was like kicking a brick.
  25. the first paragraph is exactly why the officials should be full time employee's for their benefit as well as ours. they should have salary and benefits no different than the players or any other hired employee. i think also if they were given rule changes by the league that they intended to implement, officials should be able to review the rules to see if they would not only be of benefit but whether they could be enforced impartially each and every play. if the rules did not meet with the officials agreement then this should be sent back to the league to either fix the problem or cancel the change. agree on the 2nd paragraph but... with a review and regulatory board for officials they would be subject to approval and performance. they would also be subject to maintain integrity both in the spirit of the nfl and for legal ramifications. i believe MLB had some such system back in the day that regulated players and umpires against any gambling or other problems that could involve bribery etc. remember the black sox? the NBA has had a few troubles with crooked officials also if i remember right (i may not be remembering right as i never follow that sport) so it's not like this is something new. it is just something that the nfl may have turned a blind eye to for money. it has been stated that you would need an entire crew to be on the payroll for game fixing to work. that is not true. one official alone can influence the game and it's outcome. shaving points for refs or players has been around for a long time and has been regulated in the past. with a review board this would be a lot easier to control full time employee's. also the fear of being fired would certainly deter most officials.
