  1. Today
  2. Stepping back and looking around the league: The 2nd Rd pick likely means there was good competition for DJ and I suspect NE was that main concern the Bills had. Maybe we’re going to see a bit of an arms race in the AFC. Will the Patriots trade for AJ Brown? I thought DJ might be part of a deal to bring Crosby here. That might not be totally out of the question if we use our 2nd Rd picks in that manner. Perhaps the Raiders only valued DJ as a 3rd Rd equivalent? Poles turns around and says here is a 2nd instead of DJ. I still lean toward not spending big money on a vet DE but can’t deny how much of a game changer Crosby is as a player.
  3. amen. I wouldnt let him go (this year) for less. As we clear cap space, and load up on ammo, you gotta figure this defense is going to look very different. And that really puts us in place to be serious contenders for the Super Bowl this year, and beyond. Finally!
  4. Yeah, win/win. I'm so happy we got a 2nd for him. THis is honestly better than I thought it would be, and I was in favor of this move before when i thought compensation could be less. I think this is going to be a very dynamic offseason. I cant wait to see the roster opening day!
  5. Now go get us a 2nd rd pick for Bagent.
  6. Great trade by Poles. Going to miss DJ and wish him well. Would love to see the Bears/Bills in the Super Bowl. Peace
  7. This was a plus move for both teams...
  8. Never missed a game - avg 1K+ over 3 years - fantastic teammate. Played key role helping us get to where we are and wish him all the best. You were fun to watch over those 3 season's DJ and appreciate what you did as a Bear and for the city of Chicago.
  9. I'm locking this - please put each other / keep each other on ignore. We have real Bears news going on to discuss - and while I get you both have your differences - lets not have it muddle up from the major stuff at work. Got a feeling we have a few more moves that will happen in advance of free agency as Poles gets himself ready for free agency and the draft.
  10. This is a good deal for Bills - closer to an early 3rd rounder (since its a later 2nd rounder). Like it from both teams perspective. Allen is in his prime and he needs a guy that is just a really good receiver. DJ Moore is that and he's still durable and when you add him to the Bills the offense just got a heck of a lot better. Joe Brady coached him with Panthers too. Very happy DJ ended up in a good situation and it was also right time for Bears to make the move. Win / Win in my book. Now lets get a 5th or 6th for Edmunds and quite frankly I'd be interested if we could flip something for Swift. Seeing what Monty got, I would be very open to flipping Swift and than replacing him with one of the free agent backs who is younger. Call it a pure asset play.
  11. Sad to see Moore go, but I think this works out well for all parties involved. Bills get a solid WR to go with Josh Allen, DJ gets a fresh start on an established playoff team. Bears get good compensation and some cap room. I don't see a loser in this trade.
  12. OK, Ive had enough of this bullshit. I will say what I want when i want. Dont like it? Suck my dick. I am sick of being kind and watching my language while you act like a total dick. I took endless crap from you about how we arent going to trade DJ Moore. But we did. Youre wrong about EVERYTHING we disagree about, over and over. I will state my opinion about whatever the hell I want to. Maybe you should listen and learn something you moron. You dont know shit about any of this, so if you dont like what I say, then just shut your f*cking mouth. From now on when you act like and asshole, youll get it back - we are back to this because youre such an ass. I tried being civil, but it has to go both ways. If you or others on this board dont like it, they should encourage you to shut the f*ck up about me? Got it asshole?
  13. Plus that 3rd comp pick for Cunningham we deserve. If the NFL was honorable, they would not back out of a program they act proud on.
  14. Daniel Jeremiah is one of the pundits that I respect his opinion.
  15. I like to see this as well, the Bears with 2 in that range:
  16. I didn't think about that, but it makes sense.
  17. This is a good move. I'll miss DJ Moore but I like this move.
  18. I suspect they already know they will get a 5th for Edmunds so they could trade ours.
  19. Bears had 25, and 57, and are now getting 60, so slightly better, 3 in the top 60, and don't forget their 3rd rounder at 89.
  20. What 3 players in the top 63, that will give us the strongest team. It will depend on who else we get in free agency but a DT, DE, and a stud LBer will improve the defense drastically. I think in the 4th round we grab a OT or S. I also think we get that comp pick at 100,so 2 third rounders.
  21. I never expected a 2nd rounder, even giving up a late 5th. Pick #60 for Moore and Pick #163. Now if they get anything for Edmunds, that would be icing.
  22. I will say, he at least went to a good team.
  23. That's a great deal. 3 picks in the top 63, and a 4th. I expect him to trade back one of the 2nd round picks down for a few more.
  24. Unfortunate to see him go. We all pretty much saw the writing on the wall with Burden on the team. He’s going to a great situation with Allen as QB. Best of luck to you DJ and thank you for your contributions getting us through some tough times.
  25. WOW for a 2nd rounder? Bears traded Moore and a 5th for a 2nd.
