To bring this back to a normal tone, we are all giving our opinions, its not a competition. Until the games are played nothing is a given. Its okay not to agree.

I'm not angry. I simply find you comical.

uh huh. the hostile sarcasm really shows how youre not angry or mad at me. it's a lovely tone. I'll buy what Pix said at face value, but you really need to moderate your tone if your goal is to communicate that youre not angry? And if you want to keep talking tough, thats fine too, just stand behind your words and stop pretending that you're just so innocent LOL either way is fine, I dont care, but both is ridiculous.

im just saying if we watched Benedet on the all 22 from last week, we'd see he didnt give up any sacks, and maybe one pressure, where he got walked back a bit, but still held his ground, and reestablished position before th pocket was threatened. I doubt anyone would have watched the all 22 and claimed differently. I wish I could see Benedets bad snaps from joint practices on tape, because then maybe Id agree with you guys. Right now, barring those two snaps that I only read about, i think Benedet is a good player and a better choice than Braxton Jones. I think we all agree that if Trapilo is ready, he's the best choice at LT?

I watch NFL+ but dont pay for it, an app thing. It does break stuff down easier but there is plenty of tape out there to watch. We can all watch the same play and can come away with a different opinion. Rarely is one think always black and white. So just report what your eyes see and everything is fine.

Every year it seems we have a training camp hero who never, despite my thinking he was a lock, made the final cut for the 53-man team. I hope we can somehow keep Kaden, but history says he may not make it. This is a cut-and-paste from Sports Illustrated (si.com). I was amazed when I saw the list of players who led the Bears in preseason but failed to make the cut. You have to go back to the 2017 season to find one wide receiver who survived The Turk.

Once again, we have a misunderstanding. Actually, several. First, I am not angry at you. I'm upset at the NFL's marketing efforts to extort money to watch games on TV through exclusive deals with streaming and pay-per-view services. Second, I do not dislike you. I may not always agree with you, but I certainly do not dislike you. Third, if all of us watched a specific ALL-22 tape, I assure you that it would not guarantee that we would all come to a unanimous assessment. Be it because of personal bias, past history as a player, coach, or referee, or our own knowledge base from watching football for decades, your belief that it'd put us all in the same boat doesn't float. We would still evaluate the film and, more than likely, have disagreements.

sheesh so defensive. I didnt say you need to relearn anything, what i said was that *I* have an easier time seeing a player when I am not also involved in the game in real time. I also didnt suggest some pundit that you should listen to - my suggestion inherently says that your own eyes would be the guide, so you wouldnt need to learn anything. Jeez, so angry. I get that you guys dont like me, but just because there are a few of you together, doesnt make you right. Dont buy it, I dont care. But I watch it and I know what I see with my own eyes - it's not rocket science, it's just football. Anyone can see it, but if they refuse to look, then thats another thing entirely.

TV Broadcasts, film clips from practice, videos on YouTube, and your preferred All 22 film breakdowns are ALL subject to personal interpretation. So, the answer is no. If we all forked over $ 80 to the NFL, it would make them and you happy, but we would still disagree on our evaluations. The NFL and its creative scheduling to try to force die-hard fans to pay for streaming services they aren't subscribed to in order to view all games is nothing short of extortion. They can shove the $ 80 membership fee up their wazoo, as far as I'm concerned.

I don't really need to give the NFL $80 more than I already do. Although to be fair I'm pretty cheap anyway. There are already so many breakdowns on Youtube such that you can watch, for example, the breakdown of Logan Jones, but move your eyes to RT to see how Benedet performed on the same play. All-22 is often shown on QB breakdowns but not always shown for DBs. That's the one place where I think it would be helpful. Interior line play I can usually find enough snaps from some other breakdown, and that includes watching film of our opponents QB to see our coverage, if you can find it. Dudes like Brissett and Geno Smith aren't always worthy of someone's time to put together a video. On Benedet you and PFF agreed based on the Brown's game. However, after what I saw last year I don't think he has enough length to survive long term at OT. Hopefully this offseason he got rid of the hops he displayed last year where he often had both feet airborne at the same time. If he does that he'll be better against power. DEs with length and speed will likely still give him problems IMO. We get to find out tomorrow if the rushes he gave up in practice yesterday were aberrations or cause for concern.

The Bears are pretty set at the top with Odunze, Burden, Raymond, Walker, and Thomas. The 5th and 6th WRs have to be ST contributors, so if Davis can also serve as a gunner on punts and can be a contributor on kickoff coverage, he will probably get a spot. The challenge will be as a WR or receiver in general, how many targets would he see after Odunze, Burden, Raymond, Walker, Loveland, Kmet, and at least Swift.

It's $80 for the year to get NFL+ I highly suggest it to anyone that cares enough to post on this board regularly. ANd i wonder if we wouldnt all start to agree more if we all did that? So, if we are all superiorly informed, then we can all agree more? Thank you. I'll try to relearn football. Cheers 🥂

I personally cant really see a player that well unless they make a big play good or bad during the broadcast. When i go back on the all 22 and focus on them its easier to see what theyre doing and in context, so why. It's $80 for the year to get NFL+ I highly suggest it to anyone that cares enough to post on this board regularly. ANd i wonder if we wouldnt all start to agree more if we all did that?

In two weeks Kaden Davis has gone from someone I never heard of to catching passes from Caleb Williams against the Bengals starting defense.

Nope. Just what I saw...

FOr anyone interested, it's like $80 for the year now: NFL+ and then you can watch and see why all that stuff happens, did Caleb miss an open receiver or was there a reason etc. No need to listen to writers who may or may not have done any homework, or even listen to me or anyone, you can see for yourself. Thats the best way anyway.

well I went back and watched the all 22 of the Cleveland game, and specifically watched him on every snap. Took about 40 minutes. He was fine, good even. Im not sure what you saw. Did you watch more than just the TV broadcast?

Lots of back and forth in the Cincy practice today. About what you’d expect from two good teams. Benedet got owned on back to back plays for a sack. Braxton was also back with the ones and I didn’t see a single comment about him. The most interesting tidbit was the fact they took Kyler Gordon there. Usually players just doing rehab are left behind to rehab at the facility. Makes sense and they left Bagent and Monangai at Halas Hall. The coaches are clearly giving Gordon the cold shoulder tough love approach but taking him on this trip makes me think he’s getting close to returning.
