Ill keep coming back with what I think, because I don't see a draft picks bringing that last needed element. 3T or DE that commands the respect to take take over games. Hendrickson might be a good rotational piece, but at his point in his career, id rather trade up for a better prospect. I keep doing mocks and cannot get the player needed with were we are at.

The conversation about Swift and Kmet not being good enough was one thing - and then Swift started playing like he never had before, and i said that he had played himself back on the team many weeks ago. We all saw Swift run and said similar things after the bye. The discussion about Moore and Jaylon Johnson wasnt that they werent good enough, it was about their cap space. So that's different. If youre going to bring someone in, even a highly paid free agent, you need to clear cap room for them, and there are only a few players who can do that. The LT conversation didnt include Trapilo because he was off of most people's radar for the draft - a right tackle - so the discussion was that Braxton wasnt good enough. And that we should draft one of the good left tackles. No one at the time expected Benedet to develop like that, and until we drafted Trapilo no one was thinking about him either. None of us had him in predraft lists. After we drafted him, and saw a couple preseason games, I said I thought he would beat Braxton out. I was right that Braxton sucks, but I didnt even consider Benedet, and I had hope for Trapilo - I still do. So the rewritten history lesson should not then stand as proof that we can roll with what we have on the D line. It's apples and oranges. We need killers on the D line. And I trust we will find a way to get some. Sweat, Dayo and Booker are not enough by far. All could be good in supporting roles to a stud Edge and something new and disruptive at 3T.

This is such a strange team! On one hand we get turnovers, and our offense is taking steps every week. On the other hand I've never seen a team win so many games without a pass rush. I keep expecting it to catch up with us. But you know what? if we are a weird formula for a team that wins, who am I to say no? I believe this team can beat any team we play, and at the same time I still dont know how without a pass rush! I CAN say that they have now achieved the goals I had for them this year, and there are two games yet to play! WOW. Divisional Champs sure sounds good. Can they keep the magic going? Why not! Lets go!

I find this conversation similar to the preseason conversation that we needed another RB because Swift wasn't a #1 and we had no idea what Monangai would do. For me, I need to just trust what BJ and Poles decides will turn out. Also it appears we have the LT if the future which was a topic of conversation. Injuries has hurt our defense all year and we are still 11-4. I think they figure it out after the season is over.

With GBs loss, it's all about seeding.

Clinched playoff spot on Christmas, Division on Saturday just like clockwork.

Home playoff game and winners of the North…don’t stop now Bears!!!

Packers lose to Huntley led Ravens in GB. Bears are NFC North champs. Wild.

Poles set it up that way to have contracts run out when Caleb gets paid. The problem with bringing in one of those two would be their money won't be leaving where as those 3 will be gone, freeing up money for Caleb. I get the love for those two but don't think the loss of good players and valuable first round picks would be worth it. Just my opinion, it's okay to have your thoughts because neither matter, it's what Poles decides to do .

I get it, you want to keep all our players. Look at it this way. The Bears have maybe 1 or 2 years before Caleb's contract gets extended. Once Caleb is extended, there are no DJs, Kmets, or Sweats. So they can try with what they got or bring in the assasin.

He's not out. He's sick and didn't fly with the team which makes sense since you don't want him to get others sick. Put him on a flight to SF with the rest of us plebs and then see how he feels at game time. For most of these players whatever is going around appears to be a 1-2 day sickness.

I saw something on Caleb doing what they call the "Iceman". Coincidence or not, that motion means "bear" in sign language.

Hendrickson just costs money as a FA, to get the other 2 lots of assets have to leave. I vote for not weaking the team, sign a free agent.

I noticed the social media Bear pages have taken the Garrett and Crosby talk and are running. Think it was mentioned here a day or two before it exploded online. We are the news. If the Bears do not adapt, the rest of the league will. They will be playing a 1st place schedule... most likely, so it will be a tougher road to stay on top. Draft picks are good for 2 years down the road, but not so much for today. Address the d-line like they did the o-line. Garrett/Crosby are your top target, Hendrickson can be plan b.

I’m hearing from my Packer “friends” they were all sure that Tune (their third stringer) would start. Reports say it was a close call and because they didn’t sign another QB (with Love ruled out) they speculate that Willis is the starter but ‘questionably’. Evidently he may have been hurt during that last sack from Sweat at the end of regulation and also dealing with some sort of illness(?). I feel really good about the Ravens’ chances tonight.
