yea, they did lose it. nearly double time of possession means your offense is sitting on the sidelines while the other team just moves down the field at will. one punt? during the entire game will rarely ever give you an opportunity to win. there is not one player on this defense that is not tradeable or couldn't be cut.

right. someone would trade for DJ, the question is what they would trade, not whether there would be a market.

All of that sounds good but as a lot of people have mentioned, he had a mediocre season. That doesn't enhance his trade value. Find me a realistic trade scenario and I'll jump on the bandwagon. My premise is I don't think 20 teams fighting over trading for DJ will happen. Maybe Carolina will want him back? Dallas will need to replace Pickens? It's just not that easy to make those kind of trades.

Any team that wants Pickens attitude and a 30mil cap hit deserves him. It’s gonna be a desperate GM to make that decision. When you can get DJ cheaper with less headaches in the locker room you should do that. The Bears have already paid his bonus so the receiving team in the deal should have a much better contract and not the 28 mil cap hit the Bears carry.

For sure. I did not like the lack of energy until the end of the game. But it's a new week , hopefully this is a Eagles type game, start pounding the ball instead of relying on all the hiccups in our passing game. The defense isn't getting fixed this year. The best we can expect is a few TOs and red zone defense. Have to mention the vaulted lion's offense only scored 19 points. Defense didn't lose this game today.

I totally understand the need to get more Cap space for more help for our defense. Find me teams that want expensive Kmet or DJ after having mediocre yrs? Cleveland and Vegas are rebuilding so I would assume they would want draft picks. Cleveland doesn't have any cap space so they want to dump Cap not add to it. Vegas has plenty of space and have Bowers and Mayer at TE, no trading for Kmet. They have the money to sign George Pickens to go with a drafted QB. I would rather pay 30 mil to Pickens (younger) than 28.5 mil to DJ. It's a good draft for WRs maybe they might draft one. Trade anybody but find me someone that logically would take on their salary?

Oh boy, I really want this win. I hate the Packers. After that, if we have to lose in the next round, I'll accept it and call the season a success. But there has got to be some tricky shit we can pull on defense. There has to be something. Also, all these comebacks are great, but theyre starting to put a story into everyones mind that its ok to sleep through the 2nd and 3rd quarter. BJ has to disavow them of that. I bet there will be a lot of shakeup on this roster this offseason, especially on the defensive side. They have to move on from a lot of awful players. But just this one week. Please. Let's kill them. I wanna destroy the Packers.

Trade with Raiders or Browns: JJ, DJ Moore, Sweat, and they HAVE to take Jarrett and Deyo too for Crosby/Garrett and a 3rd It's a joke, but to get all those players off the books, it'd be pretty sweet.

Final Top 4: Loveland 58-713-6 Moore 50-682-6 Odunze 44-661-6 Burden 47-652-2 Loveland finishes as the top receiver for the Bears, crazy. Burden almost passed both Odunze and Moore.

Kmet is right on the edge of his cap number, but he does do some good things for us. If they think they can get what he gives them from another younger cheaper guy, I support them moving him. If they think he's worth it, I'll understand that too. #2 seed playing on short rest against a team that rested their starters this week. Not ideal but here we are. Bears favored by 1.5, same as BUF who is in the road against JAX. PHI and NE favored by 3.5, Rams by 10.

So it ends up being GB @ CHI, SF @ PHI, and LAR @ CAR. With LAR gonna be the heavy favorites as the #5 Seed. If CHI and PHI both win, PHI comes to CHI. If SF wins, LAR comes to CHI. Gotta win this one against GB.

Burden, Odunze, Walker, Loveland, and Monongai are a good core to go forward with. Id keep Kmet and find the best way to move Moore with the least amount of dead cap hit. On D, wonder if Raiders would take Sweat as part of a Crosby trade. They need a different D next season.

Reality is I hope bears can use this game and learn from it. This whole season was always about growth - but damn it - now I want some playoff wins. Last time they lost 2 straight they won 4 in a row…how about they do that again!!!

Our DBs are worse than I thought. JJ has lost it. He is clearly not the player he was pre injury. Hopefully this is more of a short term thing and he gets his wheels back in the offseason but you can see he is not the same player post injury.
