  2. Your post made me think of this for some reason. That pass to Moore to win the game was picture perfect. In rhythm, pump fake and WHAM. But then the more impressive pass on fourth and 8 was vintage Mahomes. Maybe better than Mahomes!?! So we have this gunslinger mentality like Favre but who doesn't throw nearly the number of picks Favre did while also having the Mahomes uncanny stuff too like having the wheels to run for first downs when we need that to keep moving. By the way, did anyone else notice that in that fourth quarter he dove forward for the first down? Like his whole mentality of self-preservation changes when the game is on the line. I'm just so impressed with the kid. And if Green Bay hit that last pass and found a way to beat us in the end, I'd still be saying the same things about Caleb. As a 61 year old Bears fan, I honestly have nothing else to compare this experience to.
  3. OK thanks. I think the game I'm thinking of was his last as a Viking's QB. That was a cold night with the Vikings playing outdoors for some reason.
  4. Today
  5. i really don't recall. just watching farve during that freezing game was enough to know his career was done. he just huddled up on the sidlines looking like he didn't want to go back in.
  6. Caleb's two 300-yard games this season occurred in the last 3 games. Caleb had 48 passing attempts against GB, the most under Johnson by 6. The next highest was his other 300-yd game against SF. It may not be purposeful, but it feels like Johnson is putting so many different things on tape that you have no clue what is coming next. The Bears had 6 games with over 150 yards rushing and 6 with over 250 yards passing, with only one game with both (CIN). The Bears are now 8-0 when they rush for 150+, and 4-7 when they don't with the Wild Card game being one of them.
  7. it was an elite offense against our elite defense. the cold never slowed down the niners and it looked like it effected us more than them. i have to say... there was a game in soldier field that exemplifies exactly your point. in the final years of brett favre, he played in chicago on a super cold day with tons of wind. he looked like he wanted to be anywhere but on the field that day. it was the beginning of the end for his tenure in GB. it was beautiful to watch.
  8. Yeah, I keep saying "Caleb is a winner, he is special and elite, and hes not even good yet."
  9. Rodgers is bad and so is that Steelers offense. Houston’s defensive front is the real deal. In effect we chose Montez Sweat over Danielle Hunter…bummer.
  10. I'm not sure you can build a great defense and offense at the same time because of the assets to either side of the ball. The great offense usually beats good defenses. Houston will show us in real time with their defense and how far they can go.
  11. So my costs monthly are 35 a month for internet, 10 for ap(120 a year) . That's the cheapest have ever spent on entertainment. You can mirror the TV with it, I have it on my tablet, of which I usually watch everything on. I have did this 2 years so I know it works any where in the world.
  12. There is an ap you can purchase Witt TV that you can watch everything. It was 89 or 98 for the year. I'm on an app I got in Thailand that allows me to watch everything ( all sports) ( TV) movies that I paid 120 for the year. It runs out April 22 then I will switch over. I only have the internet at home, need that for the apps and a basic antenna - 15 channels, and I have watched everything all year so I know it works. There is always a way.
  13. I keep reading about Rams have a good defense. 5 straight games over 20 points and 3 of those were over 30 points. I don't get it.
  14. This Houston D is something to behold. I hope Dennis Allen and the Chicago D are taking notes. Edit: Chicago one of only two home teams from this playoff bracket to advance. NE being the other.
  15. I hate it, but if they bid more than the cable networks, what can you do. It feels the market is forcing every one to streaming one way or another.
  16. Caleb is the X-Factor. He can beat the perfect defense, which has to be demoralizing. You do everything right, instant pressure, hold coverage for 3 seconds, and bam, he escapes, extends the play, then throws frozen ropes 50 yards down field. The "Grate One"
  17. This is really well said and interesting to see...it also is going to be interesting to see how NFL adjusts to him but also how he continues to adjust. I go back to - he's the type of guy who has all of the ability to win games...which is a very unique skill. Doesn't mean he is perfect, cause he still is far from it and has a lot of room to grow...but that is what makes it so exciting.
  18. WE HAVE A LEGIT QB. OMG! We should be dangerous for a long time.
  19. Hey, I hate the Puckers, but you know Papa bear George respected Vince when they were great. I believe he gave them inside info several times. And I really wonder what Virginia would have to say about our coach's video. I'm 72, hate the Puckers, but that just seems classless to me.
  20. It’s not that he said it, it’s that he meant it. Now when we get a defense that can play with that attitude to pair up with this offense it’ll be glorious.
  21. totally true, and hes gonna clean up that other stuff too and the he will be elite. I mean, its not THAT hard to learn the basics of playing QB. He already has the other stuff. hes much more comfortable in the pocket than he was 2 months ago - hes playing in rhythm more, just from his body language you can see the game is slowing down for him. To say he cant reach 65% Completion next year would be silly. And if he does, we're gonna be scoring 30+ points regularly and eating a lot of clock too.
  22. And learning to do the regular stuff isnt so hard to do. Caleb has improved a LOT this year in a lot of technical ways. Last July it was learning the playbook, and footwork. This July it'll be reading defenses and finding the open guy. When he adds more consistency to his regular game, he's gonna be unstoppable. Im saying it now - Caleb is a top 5 QB next year.
  23. You summed up what I’ve been thinking for a few weeks. Everyone wants the efficient 5yd passes, me too. Caleb is thinking I’m just gonna go get 15 or 20. The thing is that unlike our past QBs he can do it. He has the play caller for it too! Like a great home run hitter you simply don’t care if his first two swings were strikes, or incomplete, because the odds are still so high on the third attempt. At the end of the day the goal is to put points on the board not collect first downs.
