I don't think full participant necessarily means he's playing. There's a lot to football conditioning and one Thur practice followed by a light Fri practice isn't enough in my opinion.

Great news for JJ, looks like he is playing this weekend:

He must be giving you a hard time for any support you may have given me. It's okay , you can never have a discussion with that type of person. I'm not seeing anything he says anyways, so it just doesnt matter. . Let him say what ever he wants. (Narcissistic behavior is characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, a lack of empathy, and a disregard for others' feelings. Individuals may be arrogant, exploitative, and believe they are unique and deserve special treatment, while being highly sensitive to criticism and easily feeling entitled. ) - Yesterday

Interesting to see this considering he was a draft option for us. https://steelerswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/steelers/2025/11/20/steelers-arthur-smith-kaleb-johnson-usage-week-12/87376831007/

Oh and one more thing, I went back and reread - I didnt call anyone on this board a "moron" I said PUNDITS - meaning blogsters, and sports writers who trash Caleb without understanding what theyre seeing are morons. And I didnt even call a member dumb - I called an IDEA dumb. You're both overracting. Calling me by name, when I didnt do that at all. We talk about respecting people's opinions here - that oughtta go for all of us, myself included. If someone wants to disagree or debate that's fine, but don't threaten me with a ban for calling an idea dumb or not agreeing with you. I get you may still be mad from before, but Im not the one that stirred all this up, and if you want to do that, thats even OK, but dont use your Admin status to bully me. -

Dude, you are the one being aggressive. And now threatening me. Calling an IDEA (and not a PERSON) stupid is not wrong. Please stop trying to start a fight. And also, do not treat me like a child. Thats really inappropriate. You are a participant in this from your own point of view, or "team" - so invoking your mod powers when you are involved in something personal is really not appropriate. The IDEA that we will move on from Caleb next year IS STUPID. It just IS. That prompted you to write a long thing about respecting other peopls opinions - what is debate if you cant disagree? And that prompted Stinger to write a long thing about me. So honestly who is stirring this all up? It's the two of you. I am allowed to think something is dumb. It's not even a PG word, its 100% G rated. Come on. Another respected member here called that opinion being "willfully ignorant" - which I think is correct, and probably more personal, and yet you didnt go after them and try to act like a parent to a child with them. So I think you should think about what I've said, and act appropriately. I am not here to fight. And I didnt start a fight here either. If you dont want to see fighting here, then dont attack people in a condescending manner. -
Here we go again. Now you want to make me the bad guy. I am an Admin. I am asked to ensure that Forum Guidelines are followed to create a friendly environment where Bear fans can exchange opinions without being insulted for doing so. I urge you to read the post pinned at the top of the page by Adam and adhere to the rules he stated. Simply stated, Adam suggested in his summary of the rules: I'd prefer not to delete your posts that violate the guidelines. I'd prefer not to issue a ban for violating the guidelines.

Oh please. The pretend victimhood is dumb. You cant tell me not to say something is stupid! Its hardly the worst put down. LOL Also on this same thread he said: "at what point does BJ quit trusting him? Half way into the season next year is my guess." So yeah, he said it, and yes, it is STUPID. Because it is. And he wasnt asking, he said that was his guess. So yeah, dumb. We have the greatest QB in Bears history right here developing before our eyes, and all we can come up to do is complain about him? Also, I dont need you to tell me what i can and cant say, thanks! NO MORE! lol -
No. He did not say that he expects BJ to abandon Caleb. He presented the members of the forum a valid question, and I quote with a cut and paste: Stinger has been very supportive of Caleb and hopes he will continue to progress. All you have to do is read his posts, and it is pretty evident. However, if Caleb fails to show any progress over the course of the following year (the last half of the 2025 season and the first half of the 2026 season), will BJ's faith in Caleb be shaken? Again, a valid question. One that I don't think will have to be answered because I fully expect Caleb to progress. However, it was a "what if" question, not a prediction of failure. AND, yes, even if you disagree with an opinion being stated, you should still show a degree of respect for the person who offered his opinion (even if you think it is stupid). How would you feel if someone called you a moron because they disagreed with an opinion you posted, but they strongly disagreed with? We know the answer to that from the battles waged in the past between you and Stinger when you repeatedly exchanged insults and threats. Everyone on the forum was sick and tired of the exchanges between the two of you. NO MORE!

uh huh see the thing is we are ALL allowed our opinions, and if my opinion is that another opinion is dumb, then that's what it is. Stinger just said he expects Ben Johnson to abandon Caleb in the middle of next year. That's idiotic. If you say stuff like that, it's Ok to disagree with it, and call it what it is: stupid as hell. -
There is a fun article on The NYTimes/Athletic about the origin of the chant BJ uses in his post-game locker room sessions. Some articles on the site are subscriber-only (a cheap subscription for great articles, IMO). Here is a small clip: (BJ and Chase Rice were teammates on the A.C. Reynolds High School football team.)

Great news, now we just need to get him back and have him healthy for the remainder of the season. Gordon + CJGJ make for an interesting dynamic duo out there. Rarely do you have more than one player who is so versatile.

I dont see PHX posts anymore but by your post he is still whipping on me. He always took a comment I would make and twist it to be able to jump on me. He praised , look at tape as the guiding light ,and I just bring up Caleb's lack of accuracy and now I am labeled a Caleb hater Im sure. Read my posts and dont let his opinion create a Caleb narrative that doesnt exist. Thanks for reminding PHX that attacking someone for a different opinion does not deserve name calling but of course he cant change who he is. As I said before I dont get to see his posts so he gets to expose himself without my normal stimulation. -
Yeah the Bears and Packers have 3 common games remaining (DET, 2 against each other), the 4 different games are MINx2, DEN, BAL vs the Bears getting PHI, SF, PIT, and CLE. GB is a very weird team. All 3 of their losses have come when the defense held the opponent to 16 or less. They have turned the ball over in only 4 games, and in those games they are 1-3-1. So it seems like even one error and the entire game is derailed. That actually reminds me of recent Bears teams, the big difference being Flus+Fields vs LaFleur+Love.

So who is a good prospect at #32?
-
They are also a first-place team. So this is a bigger game than I expected at the start of the season. PIT does what PIT does every year with Tomlin, the most consistent Head Coach in this era. The fact that he has never had a losing record in 19 years is wild. Like Andy Reid has had 3 losing seasons a 4-win, 5-win, and a 6-win season. John Harbaugh has one. Belichick had 8.

I also dont see Kmet going anywhere. This is BJs first year of building an offensive power and getting rid of offensive assets doesnt make sense to me. They will concentrate on the draft to fix our weaknesses. As much as Theo needs to grow quite a bit, I see him as the LT starter next yr. We still have Trapillo and Kiran for prospects to potential get better to ascend to give him competition. Like you said, by getting rid of an asset , you create another spot you need to replace in the draft. Burden will find more time once Zaccheaus is gone. I do see then asking DJ to redo his contract to create more money. Swift is one player, they could get some Cap relief with if traded or cut but there again they could ask him to redo his contract. We would save 7.5 mil if we let him go but then again we would have to replace him. They could decide to go with Monangai as the lead back and add a Swift type RB in the mid rounds to take his place. As much as people talked about getting a big trade in this season, example Hendrickson, they said to find money, they would restructure contracts to fit in our Cap. I think to find more money, they will go to players like Kmet and Edmunds and redo contracts to add more Cap space. They are the only two players that dont have a lot of money that would not create dead money on the books. This team is changing over from a good defensive team to an offensive power house and they are not to add big contracts to the defense as far as free agents. For better or for worst, we are stuck one more year with Jarrett, Dayo, Sweat. They will site injuries that hurt our defense. JJ, Dayo, Shemar Turner, Kyle Gordon, Terrell Smith, and expect them to be better. Also growth in young players example Booker for the defense to get better. I havent looked at draft stuff yet but this is a mock draft that I think will be similar to what we do with several trade backs to get more picks. 45. A.J. Haulcy S LSU 56. Anthony Smith EDGE Minnesota 66. A'Mauri Washington DT Oregon 91. Jadarian Price RB Notre Dame 123. Jalon Kilgore S South Carolina 129. Austin Barber OT Florida 167. Zion Young EDGE Missouri 181. Arion Carter LB Tennessee 241. Ricardo Hallman CB Wisconsin 245. Ernest Hausmann LB Michigan They will draft a pass rusher, S, and fill our needs on defense with people like G-Johnson and expect players to improve. Brisker and Byard have finished their contracts so I think G-Johnson and resign Byard to be our safeties next yr. Brisker will be offered a team friendly deal, but his concussion history will be considered. The FA part of our off season will not have any big signings. Draft is the key to our team improving.

I agree. I don't think just cutting Kmet would the right move. It should be a trade. Kmet is the 7th highest paid TE in the league, and he's not even the best TE on the team.
