well thats rude, and not much of an argument. DJ Moores comment came out today, so I was adding that to the discussion. Keeping him or trading him is one of the biggest questions of the offseason, and that's just starting, so i think its fine for me to talk about DJ Moore. Seriously, try not to be a jerk if you can? Ive kinda had it with being the bad guy in your little drama. Do uyou remember why you hate me? It's because you said Braxton Jones was good and i said I saw stuff on tape that discounted that. Then you said because you played Offensive Line, I shouldnt have an opinion on it. When I said I would continue to have opinions anyway you declared I was your enemy. So please, grow up. Lets talk about football? This hurt feelings business is getting out of hand on here. I'll continue to talk about the Bears however I want to, and without needing your permission. Thanks.

So now we have heard from both Caleb and DJ Moore about tht pass where the Rams intercepted the ball. Both called it a miscommunication. That means it wasnt an errant throw by Caleb. And sure DJ jogged the last part of the route, but even if he had run full speed, he wouldnt have made it to the ball the way he was going. I think this proves what the analysts said about DJ should have broken his route sooner, underneath the coverage. Hes made that mistake before too - in the Packers game where the ball was intercepted in the left front of the end zone. And another time, when we have film of Caleb yelling at him to undercut the safety. So this wasnt a one off, but a consistent error made over and over. What to do about it is debatable, but the issue is clearly true.

no kidding. the whole thing is a farce anyway.
-
However, if he does move onto another GM position that does have responsibility, ATL gets 2 comp picks. That is what makes this whole thing absurd. Either give picks to everyone or no one.
-
It IS a strange idea. The best rationalization i came up with (and Im not saying this is true, just the only thing i could think of) is that it is a step up in responsibility even if he doesnt have FINAL say, and since he doesnt have final say he can still move on to a team that wants him to be a GM WITH final say after this move? Also, it's going to be more money too. But after turning down other jobs, this is strange I agree. Im looking forward to what the final contract actually says.

I have been quietly on the sidelines throughout this mess thinking that it didn’t make sense Cunningham would take a lateral move to a position where he didn’t have final say over the roster.
-
That is a very legit concern.

Declan Doyle withdraws name for Eagles OC positions, stays with Bears

The OC implemented the plays BJ called. Offensive coordinator. Everyone liked him has a bright mind but he was hired when BJ couldn't bring in who he wanted. Now older connections are available. We actually may be getting an upgrade at that position. The Jets OC, and two friends from Detroit. -
My problem is Maxx just had his 8th knee surgery this season. It pauses me to wonder when it will slow him down. Sweat and Crosby both had 10 sacks this year. He has missed 7 games the last two years. I prefer someone more healthy. Brought to you by San Miguel Light

Id rather have Crosby too, but I think that while the cap cost will be similar, the trade cost will be too much for us. But thats just a guess.

Sean Payton raved about him too. He’s a really bright mind…might be a year or two too early but he’s worked a few years with two of the better offensive minds in this league. -

Only if they fire the HC after 1 year. I think he will be a good OC and maybe should have been more here with all those 4th down and goals we blew. -
Agree on the defense overhaul. But think the targeted guy (if they go that route) is Maxx. This post brought to you courtesy of Pendleton Whisky. 🥃

I have a feeling he’s a Ben Johnson coat tailer. Something tells me he’ll be unemployed by the end of next season. This post brought to you courtesy of Pendleton Whiskey. -
After bringing in Jarrett an older good pro, I think Poles will have second thoughts going that route. Also a young up and comer Dayo, all these moves say is ( overpay). I think the draft is the key and then if we need something else a one year deal with an older pro. Clowney, Fowler, Floyd, Bosa.
-
I don’t want another old expensive player on the Dline. We can spend judiciously and improve all three levels of the defense and then add more in the draft.
-
Iowa is always a good place to look for prospects.
-
ha - good point!
-
Fingers crossed! No better way to re-tool the Defense and keep the offenses cupboard full.

After watching the Matt Ryan intro press conference with Arthur Blank, I'm fully convinced we will get the compensatory picks. They said there would be no change in GM duties from the previous GM. Ironically, they hired their previous GM from the Saints, with the Saints receiving compensatory picks for his hire. Round two, ding ding...
