  2. If you play in Indiana, but live in Chicago, I wonder what the tax ramifications would be. On the surface it would seem like since they have to pay state tax to the states their away games are in, that theyd pay Indiana tax. But some of these cities, like NYC can want their taste if you reside there as your main residence. What a freakin mess, and I will leave it here because the next points would probably be political, and best to avoid that.

Some of BJs aggressiveness on 4th down was because he didnt trust his defense. And some of the tricky passing nonsense on 4th and short will be a run this year out of 13 I think the roster was a big part of why he did those things.

  5. Lower tax rates are attractive to people making millions of dollars. Same for the people making far less. Now I have no clue about Indiana taxes but I know what my daughter has to pay in Chicago. That’s a lot more than Arizona. Wasn’t there a baseball player who refused to sign with a California team and took a lesser contract in another state but would have more net income.
  6. I dont know if it will help attract FAs or the cap because thats completely separate. Each team has to meet the cap limits (min/max). Now coaching, facilities, and other expenses to operate it could affect.

Enjoy Grizz! I personally hate Soldier Field, but have had some great experiences there.
  8. This is countdown week, as the Illinois Senate will adjourn for the year. Illinois has yet to meet the Bears needs, while Indiana has exceeded them. McCaskey and Warren have met with Governor Braun and his staff several times in the last few weeks and have become quite friendly. According to my buddy at the Indiana Statehouse, the Bears are coming here because Illinois can't cut the mustard. I understand the Illinois bias from fans, but Indiana isn't a bad option. Taxes alone will help the Bears attract free agents and help maximize our cap.

  10. I hope you’re right. Wife decided after never seeing a live bears game at Soldier field she insisted we go to one before they move. This is the one we’ll be seeing. To say I’m stoked would be an understatement!
  11. After we trade Kmet to the Panthers, it will be a revenge game too.
  12. Trap game because the Bears always had to win games by miracle plays last year and that should give them confidence in miracles always happening? I’m not buying that. Knowing you can do that in any game gives you confidence. Knowing you have to do it in every game does not.
  13. They (the 2 authors of the article) were suggesting it would be a 'trap game.' If we lose a game this year because the players thought they could take a game off and win, I would be all ugly on BJ and his staff. BJ should have these guys fired up. Trap games are, IMO, the fault of the HC & staff for failing to sense their team's mood and motivate them. I'd be totally disappointed if the players don't show everyone we deserve their respect.
  14. As much as we have a better roster, Carolina at home will not be an easy game. They have a weakness with the run defense and we have to exploit that.

I watched all our games last year in the condensed form and it was educational. Penalties killed a lot of drives. Caleb made a lot of big plays but he needs to get more consistent with his change up. To many drops by our WRs. The OL had a lot of bad games even thou they were improved overall. We were 22nd in the league in 4th down efficiency. (51%) I like being aggressive but BJ needs to never do it before he crosses the 50 yard line. We had to many FGs when we should have scored TDs. play calling had a lot to do with that. We need to keep it simple and not get so cute. Sewell was terrible when he was on the field. An upgrade in our LBers will be huge in our defensive scheme. The middle of the field was a big weakness. With our second year in the offense we will run a lot smoother and BJ will have a better idea of his strength. We were more consistent when ithe 12 ad 13 group was on the field. Can understand why he brought in a competent 3rd TE. With the improvement of Caleb, our offense should be top 5 in the league. 9th in points last year, we should challenge for the top scoring team.

I’m 61 yet I know which of these 3 RBs I can hit. I’ll get run over for sure but those slow feet don’t worry me. At the 1:25 mark.

Seen a fake X/Twitter poster saying teams are contacting the Bears about trading for Roschon. After seeing a 5th or 6th, I knew it was fake. Q

Odds are not in his favor but the new RB coach did say he looks in good shape for the OTAs, of course its his durability that is the problem.
  20. The Panthers were 8-9 last year but somehow beat the Rams, Packers, and Cowboys. I think with a lot of predictions, people come up with a number, then have to figure out how those play out instead of treating each game individually. The Panthers haven't won in Week 1 since 2021. Bryce Young has played in 3 Week 1 games, in each one, he has thrown 2 INTs, averaged 154 yards passing. The last time the Bears played CAR was in 2024, where the Bears won 36-10. I would be shocked if they lose.

no doubt. too bad too, when he first joined the team, I thought he played hard and with a lot of heart, like another David Montgomery type, but then his snaps have fallen off so much, I dunno if its pass blocking or bad hands or what, but hes become a ghost now it seems.

Roschon’s days in a Bears uniform are getting shorter.
  24. I had this exact conversation with my orthopedic surgeon, due to having my hip replaced in January. He said I recovered freakishly fast. Usual full recovery time for a hip is six months. It took me three. My mother had both hips replaced and was walking stairs within a month of both.(She's a superhero) I'm at the four month mark now and more mobile and lighter than I have been in years. Hopefully, Dayo is that way too. He'll need it for what their bodies go through.

This is old news but the Bears cut Deion Haskins and added Salvon Ahmed/RB and Anthony Johnson/S.
  26. I think it remains to be seen when he can get on the field. Everyone's body chemistry is different and maybe his recovery is from having a body that repairs itself quickly. Adrian Peterson surprised everyone when he recovered from his torn ACL and MCL in 9 months and rushed for over 2000 yards that season. Terrell Suggs recovered from the same injury in 5 and 1/2 months and played in a SB season. Suggested recover times are always projected conservatively but its not set in stone.
  27. I’m very curious about this recovery and how he can heal that fast from an injury that used to take 12-18 months to recover from Pro Football RumorsBears Expect Training Camp Return For DE Dayo OdeyingboDayo Odeyingbo is set to recover from his 2025 Achilles tear in time to participate in the Bears' training camp. Very impressive. Looking good. I may have rushed to judgment. He looked to be in terrific shape & working hard.

He was looking good in that video. Hopefully, he's ready when needed.
