  1. Started by flea,

The Rams put Kevin Payne on IR. If he stays there, Chicago wouldn't receive its conditional seventh-round pick for trading him to St. Louis

  2. Started by lemonej,

I have read some post stating that the Bears don't have a WR that is worth any praise but, I'm on the other side when it comes to Knox who I believe is going to have a breakout season. I have latched on to this kid since I saw him working out at the Combine and believe he has the potential to be a game breaker so you fantasy drafters should add him to your squads in late rounds.

here is some of the complete nonsense from our fearless leader that every fan (and especially if we had a real president of football operations who was qualified to do his job) should note. 1. "the continuity of having five play together was critical". then why in the H E double hockey sticks do you hire semi-retired bandaids like o. pace, r. brown and fred miller to come in and finish out their careers here in which we usually get 1-2 years max play out of them before aged performances force retirement a year later than it should be. is that continuity angie? when you are changing the offensive line every year or two? by bringing in MORE free agents because …

I am wondering if anyone has the ability to tape games for me as I know for sure I won't be able to catch the monday night games, which blows considering the 1st one is against GB. I am willing to pay for these just let me know how much. This way I can watch the game in my truck when I pull over for the night. Much would be appreciated.

bowlingtwig brought to my attention a poster called linsim. He is, from what I saw in his posts, and internet marketer trying to use forums to gain backlinks to his products. He is not too smart as you usually do that by making posts in forums related to the product you are promoting. Needless to say I have deleted all of his posts and kissed him good-bye. If he or anyone else like this shows up again please let us know. Thanks Gary for the heads-up!

I think the Lions are going to be a lot better than they have been. I am quite concerned that we might lay an egg tomorrow. If their defensive line plays up to the billing they are getting, and if our offensive line plays as bad as they did in preseason, we will not get a running game going, Cutler will be forced to pass too often, and I smell an upset. If we can at least run block effectively and get some decent yardage on the ground, then I think we will be fine. I must admit, for the first time this preseason, I am getting a bit concerned. Hopefully the Bears will come out and prove my concerns unfounded.

I remember a game in 2004 against Detroit. Bernard Berrian caught the ball in the end-zone. Had full possession. When he hit the ground the ball moved a little bit. This would have won the game. It was ruled "no-touchdown" saying the ball moved. I thought it was a bullshit call. I thought the Johnson catch should have been a TD . . . I guess we're even.

Really? You're still defending this clown? After multiple seasons and multiple games of horrendous decisions, atrocious clock management, and a complete inability to adjust in real time? Lovie must wear a diaper, because there's no way he'd make a decision to sit on the toilet early enough to stop the shit from staining his shorts. And if he did have enough time, he'd probably think holding it would be the best idea, and he'd go for it...kind of like he did with the 4th quarter.

The 4th down call, which had Lovie's conservative play-calling influence stink all over it, will always be a situation that kills the Bears as long as you continue to neglect the OL. Year after year this is the Bears' weak point, yet you continually ignore it as if LTs just come off of practice squads. Get a clue Angelo, or you'll be leaving with Lovie at the end of the year...which, after the Lions game, seems all but a guarantee.

Call me crazy, but I'm pretty optimistic after this game. 1. The LB's today were outstanding. Briggs and Urlacher were great, and Tinoisamoa was flying around, too. 2. It seems like Cutler and Martz really do get along. 3. The secondary played pretty well for the opportunities given. Sure, Stafford missed the 2nd half, but they had double-digits yards at halftime, too. 4. Forte looks very quick, even faster then he did in 2008. 5. The OL wasn't good and the WR's either had drops or ran the wrong routes, but I expect the OL to suck, and the WR's will improve. It was game #1. Obviously they have to limit the TO's.

The Bears coach and offensive coordinator appeared on WBBM's (AM 780) "Bears Insider" Show on Monday night and said there was never any doubt in their minds that Johnson's leaping catch with 25 seconds left in Sunday's 19-14 win over the Lions was not a catch. "That rule has been in effect for quite some time,…
