http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/56849...-end-up/page/51 According to this article it attempts to predict where the top 50 FAs will go next season, provided there isn't a lockout. For the Bears??? Michael Bush - RB (Raiders): Apparently Forte and Taylor are "Faulkish" running backs so Chicago could benefit from a bruiser back like Bush Matt Light OL(Patriots): Tackle that is reaching his shelf-life and the Bears are needing a good and solid tackle. And NE doesn't like old guys. Braylon Edwards - WR (Jets): sounds like Santonio could be taking #1 and Braylon might cost too much for NY to maintain. Besides, this could be the big WR Jay needs.

So who do you guys think are the winners and losers in this draft? To me, the Bears did well for themselves, but a couple of other teams did even better. Here are my picks. Best Drafts 1) Chiefs: oh man, they helped themselves a TON this year. Jon Baldwin gives them an explosive threat opposite Dwayne Bowe, and they're going to be able to throw all day in the red zone with those two plus Moeaki. Hudson was one of my favorite players in the draft: he'll be a great center. And their defense looks MILES better than last season. Houston and Tamba Hali are a scary pass-rush duo, plus Jerrell Powe and Allen Bailey add a lot of beef to their d-line rotation. 2)…

http://www.chicitysports.com/2011/08/06/to...-return-duties/ Fantasy wise, this is sick. His offensive production + KR yards/TD's should he have any increase his stock a lot. Knox went to the pro bowl as a rookie for his returns, had a pretty high average.

Listening to M&M this morning, the conversation turned to which playoff teams from last year would not make it this year. With that blowhard sitting in for Golic it was one screamer and one pansy with Chicago roots talking about the issue. Both agreed that Chicago will miss the playoffs. Is it because everyone's drinking the Detroit koolaid? Is it because they always overvalue Minnesota? Is it because of the slobbering BJ the media seems to give Green Bay? Or is it simply another notch in the long belt of disrespect the national media seems to have for Chicago sports? Personally, I think it's a little of all of the above, and the fact, FACT, that m…

Guys, I gotta say it. I love this team. I've been meaning to post this for a few weeks, but finally have the time. Our Offense continues to do what it needs to do in order to be successful. It is still learning Tice's system, as he is learning to be an offensive coordinator. Cutler is managing games very well and keeping enough drives alive for us to dominate in "Time of Possession". Sky is the limit for this unit if the OL holds up and key players stay off the IR. Special Teams is solid as usual. We have not experienced the spectacular, as we are accustomed to, but this unit rarely lets us down. Defense is the difference maker for this team. This …

Rank the coaching candidates based on who you think is the best fit. I'll explain my top 3 Mine: 1- McCoy 2- Dennison 3- Trestman 4- Sullivan 5- Bevell 6- Arians 7- Carmichael 8- Clements 9- Toub 10- Decamillas The rest-- Hell no! Top 3: 1- McCoy Type of offense: Shotgun heavy passing attack/short-medium, mix of power running and zone running concepts + Adaptable + Gets the most out of a QB + Experience working with Peyton Manning + Young and hungry - Best year statistically as an offense is this season under Manning - Uncertainty over how much control he has over play calling 2- Dennison Type o…

So as of right now this is what our Bears look like on paper. Not bad but we can get better IMHO the players listed in Bold are locks to make the team, the underlined ones are the first to be cut, but the others are a toss up as to who stays and who goes QB Cutler, McCown, Blanchard RB Forte, Bush, Allen, Unga, TE Bennett, Maneri, Rodriguez, Adams, Eldridge, Miller, Onobun WR Marshall, Jeffery, Bennett, Weems, Anderson, Golden, Moss, Toliver, OT Bushrod, Webb, Carimi, Scott,Brandon, OG Slauson, Brown, Williams, Britton, Riley, Dennis, C Garza, Boggs, DE Peppers, McClellin, Wootton, McBride, Ozougwu, Moore, Whi…

I'll need some help here setting up the poll once this thread is done to setup the final Rd 1 Poll. For now we need to decide on who is "on our board" at #20. We said we'd have a couple days to make sure everyone had a chance for input as some folks contribute to the board from work. I'll step aside for a bit and let some of the draft experts list their thoughts. Adam put together some great prospect lists as the draft went along. We need to drill down to 5-7 prospects who would have been "at the top of our board". That seems pretty typical for what teams do in the draft process. Then we'll put up the poll and select our first round pick. If a couple prospe…

This is a bad time of the year for me,as far as the Bears go, BUT they keep making moves that has keep my interest somewhat. We will look back as this year as a GOOD new beginning or a bunch of bad decisions. New coach New OL and OC No Urlacher New blood at LB Almost a new OL Some more weapons,a quality TE He is tweaking the roster big time New offensive scheme(again) Conclusion: We have rebuilt the OL(long overdue), got some new minds to actually give us a modern NFL offense, and continually remaking the roster. I think how this turns out will take more than a year to do a proper evaluation. I think the most important thing going forward is how w…

We're one week out from the start of training camp and it's time to get a feel for the players everyone is expecting to have a breakout season. I'm expecting Alshon Jeffrey to step up this year. He worked hard this offseason and is in far better shape than he was last year. I also think he learned some valuable lessons in those late games with all his pass interference penalties and will be more subtle in how he uses his size advantage this season.
