After tonight's Philadelphia Eagles loss, the Chicago Bears have clinched a first round bye. They still have a shot at the #1 seed should the Falcons lose.

worst player on team... never seen such a useless player. Doesnt catch passes and can't block worth shit... wow

From looking at this just released schedule we are going to have another good year I'm thinking 11-5 again at least playing only seven teams with winning records and six playoff teams.. In addition to home-and-away games against NFC North foes Detroit (6-10), Green Bay (10-6) and Minnesota (6-10), the Bears will host Atlanta (13-3), Carolina (2-14), Seattle (7-9), Kansas City (10-6) and San Diego (9-7); and visit New Orleans (11-5), Tampa Bay (10-6), Philadelphia (10-6), Denver (4-12) and Oakland (8-8

1. We need to get rid of Kreutz and Garza they are old and can block well anymore. Get Mankins as a FA and draft a center 2. We need to get a WR like TO, Fitzgerald, Ocho Cinco, V.Jackson, Moss, Rice, someone that can be a no#1. Draft either A. Brown(southern miss) or Baldwin(Pitt) 3. Get a true man playing corner like Bailey or Asomugha. Jennings to short and Tillman getting old and slow 4. Use the Damn play book to use the screens, passes to the RB(Forte over 500 yrds) use the big TEs Olsen & Davis is jump ball in the red zone. 5 Use Hester on both kick offs and punt returns.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,4048044.column Interesting article. I agree with parts of it. To me it comes down to o-line & d-line being more of a priority. That and he doesn't mention Greg Olsen who is technically a TE, but he's a big contributor in the receiving department. Two things I disagree with: 1. "I have heard so much bashing about the Bears receivers that I started to question my own judgment. So I went to a pro scout I respect from another team who has studied them extensively. Here's his assessment: 'They are all different, and it's an above-average group. They are difficult to defend and probably second in the NFC …

Do we take a shot? http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/...-buffalo-is-up/

CHris Spencer finally in at C with 1st-Team Oline. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/...yers/66067.html How about a guy who plays center actually play center? And while we're at it put Carimi where he belongs. Hopefully its not at Cutlers expense, but Webb gets bitchslapped again against NY and Tice quits his Lovie-Lie BS.

Eligible for supplemental draft but will be suspended for 1st 5 games. So he gets suspended in the NFL for something he did in college. Personally I think this is a joke & a very slippery slope for the NFL to get on. What net will Hester be suspended for his involvement in the Miami stuff?

If that's the test, they passed. I'm not saying they were perfect, not even good enough yet, but compared to just a week ago they were a lot better.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,5519790.story I don't know much about Sims, but the thought of getting a starter at guard for Brown seems like a good idea, particularly if the alternative is to release him or trade him for a late pick.

http://www.theredzone.org/BlogDescription/...ms/Default.aspx Lions mulling deal for Sims Mar 31 3/31/2010 9:46:16 AM | More Jason La Canfora of NFL.com reports the Detroit Lions are strongly considering making a trade with the Seattle Seahawks for restricted free-agent guard Rob Sims, according to a league source Sims is drawing interest from several teams, and could be signed to an offer sheet. He has a fourth-round tender. At this point, a return to Seattle seems unlikely. Chicago is another team mulling Sims.

I have a fanatic Seahawks fan as a good friend, and he had this to say when I talked to him tonight: "The Offensive Line was the worst part of the team, and Sims couldn't even break into the starting lineup. He started a few games this year, but was bad when he was in the game." Further, nearly every draft site has OL as the primary need for the Seahawks...and, yet, they want to get rid of someone? This just doesn't pass the smell test.

Compliment for Martz while slamming Turner without calling him out...he should be in politics. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/...tz-offense.html Asked about Martz's notoriously extensive playbook, Forte said, "It's not intimidating, it's actually exciting. It's keep the defense on their heels. They're not going to know what we're going to do just by studying what formations we run our plays in or trying to (key) on our tendencies. They're not going to be able to pick up things easily." --------------------------------------------------------------------…

http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/...ne-options.html Tice doesn't want to leave the impression that the only competition will be at left guard. He knows where Kreutz and left tackle Chris Williams will be. The rest is to be determined. He likes Garza at right guard and he likes Frank Omiyale at right tackle. That doesn't mean a starting lineup is 80 percent set. "Not to give up too much information, I see Beekman and Johan battling and I also see other battles going," Tice said. "You can read between the lines. You never know, some other guys could move. I'm willing to have the best five guys on the field, I don't care what their names are. I am not part…

Just one more day of waiting until we start getting feedback on this years team looks. Who will be this years "surprise" and who will take the disappointment trophy away from Marcus Harrison (if anyone)? Surprise: I'm stuck choosing between the two Corey's (Wooten and Graham) but I'm going to go with Corey Graham. By all accounts he's had an excellent offseason and the speed work he did is paying off on the field. After being cast aside last year he returns this year as a viable CB option for us and gives us some desperately needed depth at this position. Disappointment: Jarron Gilbert. A 3rd Rd pick just a year ago he wasn't ready to see the field. Afte…
