Miller Moss/QB/Louisville KC Eziomume CB/ Tulane

Bears traded their two 7th round picks (239 and 241) to move into the end of the sixth and take this guy. Born in South Africa and grew up playing rugby. Seems like he progressed finally a bit this year. Wonder if he might qualify as an international roster exemption which can sometimes be useful with a late pick you don’t want to lose. Heard the show say he can maybe play inside and outside similar to Dayo and Shemar. Oh, and I’d say he’s a pretty good athlete . . .

Not a guy I’m familiar with, but he was super productive last year, including some good sack numbers, and while I’ve heard questions about his athletic ability he seemed to test pretty well. You probably had one more spot in the LB corps up for grabs so this is fine with me. Sounds like a good special teamer and pretty smart player. I might have preferred Harold Perkins, but I have no beef.

Good pick. Needed competition at outside CB tour pressure on Tyrique. Not a ton of turnovers but competed as well as anyone against Jeremiah Smith.

Worth watching if you haven’t. Some takeaways: The Bears, right or wrong, are much more comfortable with D line than we are. I’m not even sure they went into the draft with it as a priority, though I expect they’ll see the need to add there today to shut people up if nothing else. They also pretty clearly were not really enamored with this DL class, which is probably why they signed so many DTs in FA (as I had been theorizing). You know as in Caleb is good enough to overcome some deficiencies among the offense. Nope. Today made it clear Ben is determined to build an unstoppable offense with a full suite of weapons around Caleb. So it’s not going to be good offense and good defense. Poles has no clue wtf he is doing. You trade out of the 2nd and then draft your TE3 with an early 3rd rounder?

Bears trade back 9 spots to pick up an early 5th. Bad trade value for Bears there. 9 spots that early is worth a mid 4th, should have gotten a 5th and 6th for that move. Poles underwhelming me today.

Understand the pick but felt that was a little early. Feels like they could've gotten him at the next 2nd rounder.

Edge - Young*, Howell*, Parker*, Jacas, Thomas DT - McDonald*, Miller, Hunter LB - Allen*, Rodriguez, Hill Jr CB - McCoy*, Terrell*, Hood*, Ponds, Cisse IOL - Bisontis, Pregnon A lot of impact guys still left on the board. The Bears should be able to get 1, if not 2 of the guys listed, and most are top 55 rated players. The guys with asterisks had 1st round or early 2nd round projections.

Great pick, didn't expect him to be there. Safety a huge strength for defense. Most mocks had him going in the top 20, good value at 25.

Here's mine. Definitely a wish list with the top five... I pray Faulk slips to us. Banks is an explosive 1T that can play 3T as well. Miller is an emerging player from a great program. Kilgore is a skilled safety. Burks is as explosive as they come. Coogan was Indiana's starting center. And who doesn't love the name Red Murdock? Bear down!

Alright - lets this be a draft we look back on as one that built upon the initial foundation to send this franchise to sustained excellence! Lets go!

What say you? I'm going to go OT - I think they move up a few spots and grab the Utah prospect. If not OT, I think it will be a DB and think it would be the Tulane safety or a trade down and they grab the IU DB.

Caleb's 3rd season, 2nd under Ben Johnson. 2nd season for DA at DC, no other major coaches left. This is the SB window. The last time the Bears had back-to-back winning seasons and playoff appearances was 2005 and 2006, finishing 11-5 and then 13-3, ultimately losing the SB. However, the last time they won playoff games in back-to-back seasons was 1984 and 1985, culminating in the historic SB win. The 84-91 stretch was awesome but so frustrating. They should've had 2 Super Bowls and probably 3 visits. Way too many one and dones.
