at 50 if we don't have a LB prospect or DT prospect that is a good fit and a QB prospect is there I would pull the trigger especially if it Geno Smith. Getting him at 50 is great value and insurance for another Cutler injury. I'm not 100% comfortable with Mc Cown and Blanchard as 2 and 3. I want a QB in this draft but just like passing on Floyd and Ogletree in rd 1 passing on a Barkley and Smith at 50 is the same.

After reading posts about who we drafted and what our needs are/where brings a question to mind. Knowing our roster, free agents, draft choices and UDFA's; what our your thoughts for future needs? (This year and beyond...)

  6. The Patriots are offering fans the opportunity to exchange Hernandez jerseys for a new in stock Patriots jersey. I think this is very appropriate and classy move by this organization. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown...-193511953.html Not to make light of the Hernandez case but which former Bear Player should the Bears Organization offer a simialr opportunity for fans to exchange for a new jersey? Right now my vote would be for Cedric Benson; he absolutly was one of their biggest turds to ever wear the blue and orange in recent years. Fortunatley, I never had a Benson jersey but if I did I would want the Bears to accept an exchange request. …

Brad Biggs ‏@BradBiggs 24m Pending a physical #Bears expected to sign TE Leonard Pope. Another end zone threat to throw out there. Speculation the Eldridge is being cut for Pope. Trying to cover a 2 TE set with Marshall, Jeffery, M. Bennett and Pope would be awfully difficult in the red zone.

Before the games start to roll, I would just like to say, I really like what Emery is doing. He looks like he had a really good draft this year with 10 rookies finding spots on the team. Last years draft is still a big question mark, but with Lovie still around I suspect he influenced the draft quite a bit. If we get more contribute out of the ones left from that draft, it will be considered an decent draft. He is remaking the roster, and not afraid to get rid of people he drafted if they dont cut it. With DeAngelo, he would just hang on to them because he kept trying to prove there valve. He didnt jack with a defense although being old, is still productive, with adding…

Per the Tribune; Les Frazier is asking Webb questions about Trestman's offense/scheme While this is not unusual at all, I can only envision the one and only response Les will receive: DUH, Gee Tennessee....... Disclaimer-old timers cartoon reference at play here.

I just wanted to point out how good this guy has been. He has done everything from big hits, open field tackles, etc. He is a hybrid of Colvin/Hillenmeyer... can do the grunt work and also make the big play. Id really like to see more of Bostic and Greene, cuz they are the long term. However, DJ and Anderson have done well. I loved on the pick6 when he plowed Cotchery, ha...

I was listening to the radio this morning. One of the guests, while discussing the game said something to the effect that there were things that need to be "cleaned up", "corrected", and "coached up". I'm sorry but I can't stand these three phrases anymore. Cleaned up means squat; if a player at this point in his career can't figure out what his game responsibilities are, then they can't be corrected and maybe, just maybe, the player sucks. Coached up to me signifies that there is some amazing exponential growth potential just sitting there. I guess what I am saying is these three overused comments make it sound like that some phenomenal change is sitting there …

After watching them on Sunday night the Redskins didn't put up much of a fight on offense or defense. RG III continues to improve his ability to run but he's not reading the field very well right now and he's definitely not taking care of the ball in the pocket. We need to take advantage of that and blitz to make up for our lack of pass rush. I know we'll give up some plays like this but we should be able to get some big plays too. Our defense is not in position to sit back and hope something good happens, we'll have to force it. Our offense on the other hand should be able to find consistent opportunities against the Redskins defense.

I'm really just throwing this out there to play Devil's Advocate... But I had a chat w/ a freind who's a Bears fans and he thought it might be possible that Briggs is a horrific play caller. His playe is obviously excellent...but maybe, just maybe...he's not remotely a defensive leader. Could our struggles be a result of him putting guys in bad positions, unlike Url, who put them in good positions, etc. I'm not sure GB and DET are the games to test that odd concept. But I think the Ravens could be a test... I really don't think there's much vaidity to it, but just thought I'd throw it on the wall and see if it sticks...

Why are the Bears struggling so hard to win games this year? The Offensive and Defensive rosters were full of experienced talent, and we finally had coaches with a scheme that can put up points. The answer was the Bears biggest offseason loss, and it's someone you might never have heard of. Rusty Jones was the Bears Strength and Conditioning coach from 2005 through spring of 2013. During that time, the Bears were relatively injury free. Here's a Story from Sports Illustrated about Rusty Jones, and his philosophy of training to avoid injuries, as contrasted with training to gain maximum strength. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writ...program…

  18. It is either their bonehead coaching staff or undisciplined defense that will probably see the bears win the division. I was really disappointed last weekend but after a couple of days reflecting I can't see them sustaining a good run to win the division. If you consider our injuries against there's and our different schedules it shows a great job our coaches and players have put out so far this year.

So, I understand that Tennessee is in a bad position these days but why would they specifically come out and say they are 'targeting Cutler'? I'm not sure why but I don't like it. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap200000029...ennessee-titans
