Odds of us signing a top type LT in FAgency is slim especially, if we try to resign Melton. SO here are our choices:(no particular order) Max Starks- older but maybe a stop gap for a year Wil Svitek- played well last year, older but maybe a stop gap for a year King Dunlap- a little younger and maybe can last 3 years (not great) but I will accept average at this point Jason Smith- a second player overall bust in 2009, maybe Kroner can bring him up to par ( Im reaching with this one) I think due to his age, Dunlap would be an inexpensive choice, and if he WEBB beats him out, I will have to eat some crow.

I'm interested in seeing what Ogletree does today. Any particular players you guys are interested in?

Looks like the Lions are trying to add fire power to their offense as well

Detroit lost both starting tackles, there best pass rusher, there other DE and there starting safety. They added Jones/DE. Quin/FS and Bush. Bush is an upgrade but lost in the exchange of other players. Stafford does not play well under pressure.

I will list some names of players drafted in latter rounds that end up being good pros. WR- I think Dennard Robinson ends up either as a PR,KR or a slot type WR being a productive NFL player. He has the speed football IQ to succeed at the next level. OG-Alvin Bailey/Ark- He is athletic, been productive- and could end up a starter with the right team. OC- Brian Schwenke - I think he starts his first year in the league. DT- Akeem Spence- He had 72 tackles as a senior at Illinois- that is huge for a DT. I'm still not comfortable with McGown at a hit away from being the starter. Im looking at the Jets collection of qbs and got my eye on Mc Elroy. On the street after Trent Edwards there isn't much. Thoughts anyone?

Remember, we (the board) have just chosen an OG in the 1st Rd so for building our team who do you want to pick in Rd 2? I'm listing Warford because it was entirely possible Long was chosen to be an OT. As we build our team for the future which player best fits our remaining needs and/or BPA as you see fit. For me the pick is Arthur Brown. With the board having gone OG in Rd 1 I feel we must get best talent available to bring youth to our LB corps. I was against taking him in Rd 1 because I don't think he has what we need to play MLB, but at this point in the draft Brown represents very good value and fills a need.
