I think the fact that we have yet to fill the last spot on the practice squad means we will be bringing in at least one OLman. We do not know which one, Miller, Anderson, ????? I keep on going to the various sites for news and the only thing I saw was Metcalf returning to practice, Oakley was signed by the Cardinals, and they were mentioning the missing player yet to be named on the PS. It will be interesting who we pick up. I am sure that it will just be a stop gap type of player, probably an older vet like R Brown was when we picked him up, or Miller. We will still have to address the issue of our OL next year in FA and the draft.

He was a favorite of many here. I sure hope he latches on with a team and gets a shot.

IMHO is the Bears are to win this game two things must happen. One is the the defense MUST rush and get pressure up the middle of the Oline. They will have three new starters in including the new center. This will force Manning to roll out of the pocket into the arms of O-gun,Brown and the fleet foot Anderson. To make room on the roster for Buenning, the Bears released fifth-round draft pick Zackary Bowman, a cornerback from Nebraska. Buenning (6-4, 320) started all 16 games at left guard for Tampa Bay in 2005 and he started seven of nine games in 2006 before being placed on the injured reserve with a knee injury. When I watched him play against us in 205 he was blocking our line all over the place. He seems to be a good run blocker and that we surely need with Forte and Jones in the backfield. In passing plays he held his own. He is not a pro bowl player but he is surely better than Metcalf and Beekman. He is 6'4 320 so he is big enough to stop the likes of Pat Williams from the Vikings and such. I like this guy. Now with that Bowman was cut, IMHO if they thoght so much of him I might have had to part ways with McBride. Seems like no matter what topic I read here, I read something about cutting Marty Booker? I just don't get it. The guy set almost every receiving record in Chicago Bears history in the time he was here. He's back now. No, he didn't light up the league while he was in Miami. He did probably match about what any receiver had did here though during that time with comparable QB''n.
