CB Janoris Jenkinsis an extremely talented CB, a Pro Bowl Man-to-Man cover guy who will undoubtedly be a great player, IF IF IF IF he can stay off of drugs IF he can keep his "weenie" under control IF he can find an NFL club gutsy enough to give him a shot 4 kids with 3 different women? Bounced from the Gators, winds up in a Div 2 school and still doesn't "get it" I just read a piece on NFL.com saying many have taken him completely off the draft boards and others would only take him in the 2nd or later. I am curious what you think. Certainly, the Bears, running the cover 2, would have no reason to gamble on this guy. If he were this great …

I would surely take a look at the ones listed below becuase they can fill a need for us. Chris Greenwood, CB Albion The 6' 1 1/2" 193lbs CB prospect from Albion impressed scouts at his Pro Day with his amazing athleticism. He ran his forty yard dash timed at 4.34s. He continued his athletic display by posting an 11'2" broad jump and an amazing 43" vertical jump. He impressed every scout there but reported really drew the eyes of the Steelers scouts that were present. Korey Toomer OLB Idaho- Measuring 6'2" 236lbs Toomer put in an great performance for the scouts in attendance. He ran his forty yard dash in 4.49s, completed 20 reps at 225lbs in the bench. H…

More than in other years, I'm struggling to figure out where the Bears will go this draft. So I decided to take a look at the roster to figure out where I see holes, and this is what I came up with: QBs - Jay Cutler, Jason Cambell, Josh McCown, Nathan Enderle -No worries here RBs - Matt Forte, Michael Bush, Kalil Bell, Armando Allen -No worries here either FB - Tyler Clutts -Did a good job last year. WRs - Brandon Marshall, Earl Bennett, Devin Hester, Devin Thomas, Eric Weems, Dane Sanzenbacher, Max Komar (Knox) -There's no true need here, but Komar and Sanzenbacher are expendable and Weems doesn't figure to get much time at WR. I just keep a…

I'm curious, after going through a plethora of mock drafts over the past few weeks, what our draft board should look like. I haven't really gotten that deep into it yet but there's been alot of mocks that have been posted here lately. If you were to put together a 10-12 player 'Big Board' for this team, what would it look like? Let's assume the obvious that Luck, RGIII, Blackmon, Kalil, and Claiborne are all off the table. Here is how I have mine set up. Subject to change as we get closer and closer to the draft. Draft board 1. WR, Michael Floyd + Physical beast; powerful runner after the catch + Great hands catcher; plucks the ball out of the air. Remind…

When you look at what we have done so far to the team....we have basically just filled the holes we had last year that lead to our 8-8 record. Backup QB, RB the positions that went down last year that hurt the most (we got better at the two spots), we signed two CB to fill in for Bowman and Graham (i think we got better there too)we got Weems and Thomas to fill in for Hurd and maybe Knox. We got the Beast (Marshall) to take the place of R.Williams. Now we lost two DT and a saftey. So reason will have us taking those postions in the draft. This is what I see us doing....getting the best players at the position of need. I dont think we go OT/OG in the first but maybe the th…

What would you think about drafting DE with our first 2 picks? Not saying I'm for it. just a good debatable topic. Things like: our D is predicated on pressure, lots of DE's worked for the Giants twice, drafting two increases the odds of striking gold, Peppers could move inside on passing downs to pressure the QB's face and lastly, the Pack hate it.

Ok, so I was thinking about our Left Tackle situation and thought I would take a look at the last five years of teams that made the Conference Championship games (20 teams) and see how many had a Pro Bowl Tackle. Out of the 20 teams, only 9 had a Pro Bowl Tackle, and one of those was an Alternate. So more than half of the teams did not have an Offensive Tackle (Left or Right) on their team that year. Going further, only 3 of 10 teams that played in the Super Bowl over the past 5 years had a Pro Bowl Tackle. This is sort of the reason why I would not go OT in the first round unless someone drops to us at 19. I think guys like Martin and Adams may be reaches …

Any takers for a FS still young, got size, but seems to be a putz off the field. New lease on life, Lovie can have him move in with him and babysit. 56 games-56 starts-10 inter-31 PDF-one sack-324 tackles.that is 6 per game, and the best part will be gotten cheap. Considering the lack of talent at the position in the draft, we should take a look. I think our DC was there when he was drafted-2007.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill/ Bears’ hope for Hester: Catch more passes, return fewer kickoffs Posted by Michael David Smith on April 10, 2012, 7:39 AM EDT Devin Hester may be the best return man in NFL history, but that doesn’t mean that’s his primary role in Chicago. The Chicago Tribune connects the dots with the addition of Eric Weems and Devin Thomas, two players with experience as kickoff returners, and notes that last year Johnny Knox averaged more yards per kickoff return than Hester, and says it all adds up to the Bears making Hester an integral part of the offense at wide receiver and cutting down on his kickoff returns. …

I have looked at several draft grading players and there is about 18 that are considered first year starters/pro bowl potenial players. So I will list and figure out who might be there at 19. Luck,Griffin,Richardson,Blackmon, Floyd, Kalil,DeCastro, Reiff,Glenn,Fleener, Kuechly, Coples,Ingram,Brockers,Cox,Claiborne,Kirkpatrick,Barron. These are players falling in those spots. Also could move into the top 18-Poe,Tannerhill,Wright,Konz, Jenkins, Upshaw,Martin,Gilmore. So as the draft goes will determine who the best player available at that spot. We wont be going after Luck,Griffin,Richardson,Fleenner. that leaves 14. We wont have any chance of drafting Bla…

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1056430...-in-nfl-history 50 Worst Draft Picks in NFL History By Vincent Frank(Featured Columnist) 41. Amobi Okoye, DL, Houston Texans Draft Pick: 10th overall in 2007 NFL draft from Louisville Career Statistics: 59 starts, 15.5 sacks and 165 tackles A lot of draft pundits were shocked when the Houston Texans spent the 10th overall pick of the 2007 NFL draft on this 19-year-old Nigerian, who was considered a physical beast but extremely raw. It isn't that Okoye didn't play decently in four seasons with the Houston Texans; it was more about the fact that he failed to grasp the nuances of the game a…
