Hester needs to come off kickoffs. He has 2 fumbles so far this yr and simply does not look the same. Personally, I think he simply cannot handle all the responsibilities given to him. Leave him on punt returns but give Wolfe or Manning the kickoff duties going forward. Peace

I know BEARSDABOMB, Butkus, and a few other posters have touched on this... But it looks painfully obvious that this Bears team under Smith (and Angelo) seem to rest on their laurels. THey are all going about saying they are better than what we saw, that they are vets,yadda yadda yadda. Bottom line, that was then, this is now...and this is now started last season. This D is bad. I got bored and considering all the threads about firing people this week, I figured I'd take some time and give my opinion on what should be done with all of the coaches. Lovie Smith Head Coach- Over there years here, I have made it pretty clear that I hate his scheme and really just don't like him as a coach. That being said, I can't find a reason for him to lose his job, or think of a comparable firing in the NFL. I just got to thinking about how poorly Orton throws the long-ball, and how it affects the overall offense. That made me think, "What would Devin Hester's stats look like if he had a QB who could throw the long ball?" -Lee Evans, who does nothing but catch the long-ball it seems, really benefitted from JP Losman throwin the longball. Insert Trent Edwards and the longball disappears. -Remember what Randy Moss looked like with Daunte Culpepper? -Remember how Marcus Robinson made Cade McNown look like a decent QB because the one pass Cade seemed to throw well was the rainbow deep ball? Which sounds great, until you realize that 15 other teams have as much or more money to spend then the Bears. Twenty-five teams have at least 10 million to spend. Our capmeister LT projected we'd have 27 million to spend, and I believe that completely. But I'm guessing that many other teams are like the Bears with more money to spend.
