Love the first three rounds... 1. HHCD, S, Alabama 2. Roberson, CB, Florida 3. Anthony Johnson, DT, Florida 4. Tom Savage, QB, Pitt (I'd rather see Shayne Skov, ILB, Stanford here) 5. Kevin Pierre-Louis, LB, Boston College

Hate it. http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2012.php 1. Kendall Wright, WR/KR, Baylor 2. Dwayne Allen, TE, Clemson 3. Brandon Washington, G/OT, Miami 3. Cam Johnson, DE, Virginia 4. Shaun Prater, CB, Iowa 5. Jaye Howard, DT, Florida If the draft played out like this, what would rather see happening with how the players are slotted? I'd rather see: 1. Mike Adams, OT, Ohio State: Possible BPA at #1 need 2. Nick Toon, WR, Wisconsin: The early 2nd round run on WRs hurt 3. Jerel Worthy, DT, Michigan State: He has potential and the quick burst Lovie wants in a DT. 3. Markelle Martin, FS, Oklahoma State: I think he's actually the …

http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2012.php 1. Kendall Wright, WR 2. Jerel Worthy, DT 3. Cam Johnson, DE 4. Ladarius Green, TE 5. Shaun Prater, CB Wow. That would suck ass. A short, overrated WR when superior OL talent is there, an inconsistent and somewhat lazy DT, a slow DE with physical problems and possible disease, a TE who is actually a slot WR or H-Back who lacks true TE blocking skills (which is also ignoring the fact that Davis was resigned), and a 5th round CB who is actually pretty good for the round and for Lovie's system.

2. Juaquin Iglesias, WR, Oklahoma Still on the board: Chung, Delmas, Duke Robinson, Derrick Williams 3. Brandon Williams, DE, Texas Tech Still on the board: Nobody worth mentioning 4. Derek Pegues, FS, Mississippi State Still on the board: Gibson, Jason Williams, Mickens 5. James Davis, RB, Clemson Still on the board: Vazquez, Francies, Casillas, Henry Melton, Orion Martin, Bruton 5. Mark Parson, CB, Ohio Still on the board: Collie, Morgan Trent, Maiava, Veikune, Ogletree That wouldn't be so bad. Parson was a 2nd or 3rd a month back so he's of good value there. I'd rather have Melton, Martin, or Vazquez then Davis. We already have For…

Somehow we are the first team to draft a WR, and we go with White? He also has NYJ picking Waynes (CB) like they need another CB, hilarious. 7. Kevin White, WR, West Virginia 39. P.J. Williams, CB, Florida State 71. A.J. Cann, G, South Carolina 103. Bryce Petty, QB, Baylor 134. Joey Mbu, NT, Houston So we have a ridiculously bad defense, yet only 2 picks on that side of the ball? I would love Petty in the 4th, but I doubt he lasts that long. WF lost some credibility with this mock.

Let's hope this one goes better than the last ex-Cowboy WR named Hurd. One thing is clear, if you want to be a Bears WR you will likely be 6'-3" or taller, and if you're not then you will be really fast. I'd say the days of having an Earl Bennett, shorter, slower but with very good hands, on the roster are over. Herd ran a 4.49 forty at his pro day a year ago and was signed by Dallas as UDFA then promptly cut. Seahawks then picked him up and he didn't last long there either. There had to be some glaring weakness he showed to get cut so quickly…maybe lack of knowing how to run routes. Given the complexity of our offense I was expecting we'd sign a more experie…

With the night that Aroshomadou had tonight and how much Cutler likes him, is it safe to say that going forward he has a good chance at being our #1 reciever? If that is the case then will our WR core going into next season be: #1=DA #2=Bennett #3=Knox #4=Hester Right away I know Hester led the team in receptions but most of those were bubble screens and quick hits designed to get him running in space. Hester is not Steve Smith. I want him to be but after watching how good Knox/Bennett/Manning did on special teams this year, which is what caused this team to try and transition him, I feel that we should move him to spot duty on WR and g…

Okay, I am sure many have read about this by now, but it is being reported that we (Bears) are playing some games w/ the media. Sunday nights game is on NBC, and it appears standard operating procedure is for Bob Costas to interview numerous players/ personnel from each team. Well, the bears refused to have anyone appear for Costas, and NBC was forced to use some local media guys to give insight leading up to the game. There are going to be a couple trains of thought. Some will say, "who cares. Its about what happens on the field, not off." To an extent, I can understand this belief. But more and more, I just disagree. We have all heard the phrase "percep…

Trade out of the 1st for a 2nd, 4th, and 5th. Sign Jordan Gross. 2. Paul Kruger, DE, Utah ---The guy is a machine and has been compared to Aaron Kampman. 2. Louis Delmas, FS, Western Michigan ---Big hitter, leader, and ball-hawk. Can you ask for much more from a FS? 3. Brian Robiskie, WR, Ohio State ---I'm really starting to like this kid. He is 6'2 200 but he has great hands and is a great route runner. Perfect compliment to Hester. 3. Trevor Canfield, RG, Cincinnati ---He is a great run blocker and that's what we need. 4. Zack Follet, OLB, California ---Leader and is pretty athletic. 4. Gartrell Johnson, RB, Colorado State ---After watching …

Trade Briggs for a 2nd round pick. Trade Knox for a 5th. Extend Idonije, Urlacher, Graham, Jennings, and Okoye. Cut Omiyale, Wootton, and Spaeth. Sign Robert Meachem, Eddie Royal, and Brady Quinn. Franchise Forte. 1) David DeCastro, OG, Stanford ---All of you know me as the guy who never wants OL this high. However, in this scenario, Williams would move back to LT and DeCastro would fill in at OG. Even if Webb stays or the Bears sign a LT through FA, DeCastro would start at RG or LG. 2) Dwight Jones, WR, North Carolina ---In the past, I've said that I love McNutt. He's a very good player. However, in his final game, he was shut down by Alfonzo Dennard…

Trade Briggs to the Giants for Osi Umenyiora. Trade Knox for a 5th. Extend Idonije, Urlacher, Graham, and Okoye. Cut Omiyale, Wootton, and Spaeth. Sign Robert Meachem, John Carlson (with a new OC, the Bears need an actual TE), and Kyle Orton. Franchise Forte. 1) Reily Reiff, LT, Iowa ---All of you know me as the guy who never wants OT's this high. However, there's a good chance the Bears will be in position to draft a future LT in round 1 rather than a guy later in round 1 who might be a RT. Reiff could actually play LT in the NFL. 2) Marvin McNutt, WR, Iowa ---I didn't do this on purpose with 2 Iowa guys, but I love McNutt. He's a very good player. I…

March: Franchise Forte --Key offensive piece for the Bears; expect a longer term deal as TC approaches. Sign Demetrius Bell- 4 years, $18 million. --Bell only gave up 1 sack in 6 starts at LT last year, but he has had some knee issues. Still, he's 48x better than Webb. Sign Stevie Johnson- 5 years, $25 million. --Not that I love this, but I see the Bears going this route. He'll be cheaper than Bowe/Jackson/D.Jackson, and he and Bennett have the same agent. Sign Eddie Royal- 2 years, $4 million. --Knox's career is likely over, at least in Chicago, and Royal is a similar player. Of course, Royal is slower but he has better hands and he knows Cutler. Sign M…

IMHO we are a product of our own coaches! Head coach= good person but soft as a coach. DC,OC and some position coaches are the same. If you look at our games...how many times do you see Hester getting chewed out for a stupid play. Not just Hester but the whole team! I have watch a few games with the help of some of this very supportive board members and have seen no fire, no desire nothing. Well not everyone of the Bears are soft, Briggs, Forte, Payne to name a few and others are doing their jobs. But you have to wonder where is Brown with the fire and hits, Urlacher is blocked all the time, Harris is well just holding the line, our corners Tillman & Vasher seam like…

We have a lot of smart people on here and read on WINDY CITY GRIDIRON that there are looking for some writers and Bear fans to contribute to their site. I dont have any creditable past moments to think I could contribute but have the desire, but will have to wait until I retire from my job to take a shot at anything like that. BUT is there anybody on here that could contribute to that website? It obviously is not a paying job, but would be somebodies hobby. Like I said there are a lot of smart and passionate people on here, anybody interested? the guy you need to contact is Dane Noble and he is on twitter.
