I may be in the minority but I like our schedule going forward. It's tough, that won't change but the sequence is what I like. New England--at chicago and after a blowout win I have the optimism that the pats will not be as sharp than if they had just been blown out. My concern is that what they beat the Jets with is what we used to beat the lions with. Over the middle routs in the zone. We have Urlacher to help that middle part of the cover two but if we don't tackle better than we are doomed. I still objectively feel like we have a great chance given that the bears have recently been playing at the level of their opponent. At Minnesota--we'll see if we are…

Interesting NextGenStat posted here: Basically Mahomes has thrown to more open receivers than anyone in the league between 2016-2018 and it's not even close. Talk about a scheme working, Andy Reid is a genius. Trubisky in the middle of the pack. Interesting to see Wentz grouped with Winston, Newton, and Bortles. Mahomes is the least aggressive but most productive passer. Ryan is the most aggressive/productive passer, Tannehill is the least aggressive, least productive passer, and Kizer is the most aggressive, least productive passer.

I know he laid a big turd in Denver but so did Bellichick in Cleveland. I want an offensive minded coach. I am willing to give this guy a shot. And he doesn't like Cutler so either Jay straightens out his crap (unlikely) or is moved. Peace

I know it will make a lot of people vomit, me included, but next logical person we could be after for DC is Joe Barry. He is another big Tampa 2 guy, is Rod Marinelli's son in law, and when Marinelli was in Detroit, Barry was his DC. He seems like he'd be the perfect fit for Lovie. He'd be cheap, and probably go right along with Lovie and be the perfect yes man.

After watching them on Sunday night the Redskins didn't put up much of a fight on offense or defense. RG III continues to improve his ability to run but he's not reading the field very well right now and he's definitely not taking care of the ball in the pocket. We need to take advantage of that and blitz to make up for our lack of pass rush. I know we'll give up some plays like this but we should be able to get some big plays too. Our defense is not in position to sit back and hope something good happens, we'll have to force it. Our offense on the other hand should be able to find consistent opportunities against the Redskins defense.

Who's going to watch that crap fest? I guess I will since it will be the last time to see the Bears play but this team has completely come off the tracks. It is going to be an interesting off season. Peace

So we get to see Watson vs Mahomes in the playoffs. I am sure Pace will be watching. Watson had something like 72 yards with a minute left in the 3rd quarter in a 16-0 shutout. He single-handedly wins the game scoring 19 unanswered pts and then gets the team in range for an easy chip shot in OT to win it. It was sort of ironic that the guy most like Trubisky, Josh Allen, is finally starting to get some of the same flak that Trubisky has received. After watching that game, Trubisky is literally 2-3 throws away from being better than both of them (Allen and Watson). If Trubisky can make 1-2 deep throws a game to stretch the defense, the underneath stuff won't be…

Playing against the Packers will see the Bears have a 1,000 yrd rusher (Forte) because he now has 978 yards and needs just 22 to make the mark, and a 1,000 yrd WR (Knox) because he has 960 yards through the air and needs just 40 to reach the mark. Oh and give a big Bear hug to Cutler for being the first bear QB to make back to back 3,000 passing yard seasons and 23 TD passes!

This is based on the fact that we are playing the NFC and AFC West divisions and the last place teams in the NFC South and East. HOME DET (10-4) GB (10-4) MIN (6-8) ARZ (11-3) SF (7-7) DEN (11-3) OAK (2-12) WAS (3-11) AWAY DET (10-4) GB (10-4) MIN (6-8) STL (6-8) KC (8-6) SEA (10-4) SD (8-6) TB (2-12) 9 tough games, 4 winnable games, and 3 easier games. Looks like a brutal schedule as both West divisions are pretty tough. OAK has played tough and TB should be better in Lovie Year #2.

I was looking at the opponents in 2009, and I know it's not even close to this season being over, but, next year we have: Rams Cardinals Browns Lions @ Bengals @ Seahawks @ 49ers @ Lions Pretty easy. Thoughts??

Get the D healthy. Retool the O Line (2 new starters at least) via the draft and FA. Pick a RB in the first round. Tell Turner to call the games like he did today... Agressive! Sign Briggs, Berrian, and Des Clark. Let Grossman go. You may go into the year with Orton as your QB but bring in a solid FA if available. If not available, draft a QB and keep Griese as your backup. Start Orton. Trade Benson for a mid/late round pick. Do it now. I'm hearing the injury he has will require a lot of work to rehab. Who believes he'll have what it takes to rehab it? Start thinking about paying Hester.

The 6-4 Detroit Lions are in 1st place with a +6 in net points. Minnesota looks a shell of their former self, and GB at 4-6 is laughable. At 2-8, we are obviously out of playoff contention, especially considering we have 13 players on IR, plus Miller from last night. Sitton and Floyd also left with injuries, while Massie, Urein, and Hall were out. That does not include Callahan, Porter, McPhee, Goldman, Young, Wilson, and Royal who are all nursing injuries and may miss time as well. My question to you all is, are we being too hard on the team/coaches/management for this debacle? Did our expectations of improvement mask the fact that we have the most injuries in…

With Rodgers leaving the Division and handing the franchise over to Jordan Love, it feels like the division is up for grabs. Detroit is a decent but needed to win 2 meaningless games to finish 9-8. They still have Goff at QB and with his cap hit over $30M again, they didn't get much better. They do have some decent picks from the Stafford trade, but for free agency, it seems like they are just replacing their losses and not really upgrading there. I figure they will be in the 7-9 win range again. In Minnesota, they are basically just replacing their free agent losses, and don't have many draft picks. Right now they only have 5 picks, no 2nd rounder, and only 2 p…
