The Bears have signed practice squad RB Armando Allen to their active roster. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. they also placed RB Lorenzo Booker on IR and waived LB Patrick Trahan.

The Bears are who we feared they were... All kidding aside, here's what I'm walking away with: 1. The defense played great. The old men did well. Also Shae had some good plays. Tillman especially impressed me. 2. Webb could be the worst OL in the history of the NFL. jason has been 100% right the whole time. 3. Kellen Davis is useless 4. Michael Bush was a great pick up 5. Cutler cannot beat the Packers. I want him benched earlier if he keeps up the mistakes. I don't care that the OL stunk. A lot of it is still on him. I'm over seeing him get killed. At least let Campbell take the hits. 6. Marshall showed why he had the most drops last s…

-Said he was wrong for bumping Webb but doesn't regret yelling at him. -He heard what Moore said and had no issue with it. -He's spoken to all of the OL individually and it's settled. -Talked about what a great guy Lovie is. -Claimed being a dad is going well. -Said they can't take the Rams easy because any team can beat any team on any day. -Talked about how much he loves Bears fans due to the reception he's gotten since Thursday when he was grocery shopping. -Owned up to his INT's on Thursday.

Good or bad thing for the Bears? I thought he was essentially ineffective for them and gave them a false sense of security at the running game. He also didn't lose the ball much but that was only a matter of time before he did. I would think this is good for the Bears as the other RB's on GB are all unproven. Hopefully this makes them even more one-dimensional.

  10. According to Mike Lombardi, during the 2nd round, the Bears and Cards were in trade talks regarding Boldin, but the Cards backed out. This really shows how committed JA and Lovie are to winning now, and makes me think that they were both given notice that this year is their last shot and if they fail to make the playoffs, their asses would be gone. I wonder if Q and the Cards are still butting heads near the time training camps begin, could we see us send some future draft picks their way for Q? Most likely not gonna happen, but one can only hope.

The draftees will wear the following numbers, though some likely will change before the regular season: DL Jarron Gilbert (73), WR Juaquin Iglesias (17), DE Henry Melton (69), CB D.J. Moore (30), WR Johnny Knox (13), LB Marcus Freeman (58), S Al Afalava (46), G Lance Louis (60) and WR Derek Kinder (83). Undrafted free agents will wear the following numbers: FB Will Ta’ufo’ou (45o), S Dahna Deleston (45d), CB Woodny Turenne (47), RB Tyrell Fenroy (48), LB Mike Rivera (59), G Johan Asiata (62o), LB Kevin Malast (62d), G Dennis Conley (70) and WR Eric Peterman (86). ...told ya Freeman looked like Marshall and Afalava like Plank!

  13. We have a QUARTERBACK. Yes, it is hard to believe. We have upgraded our OL to protect this excellent MOBILE Quarterback. Forte average ypc will benefit immensely as teams will not be able to stack the "Box" Forte is an excellent receiver as well. Greg Olsen will be HUGE as a target for Cutler, Clark & K Davis will also contribute. Cutler's buddy E Bennett should have an excellent year. Cutler to Hester connection should be very exciting, Cutler can hit him on those deep routes. Then I read this from FootBallGuys.com: Then you add in our sleeper WR from the 7th Rd. This could be very interesting!!!!!!

Matt Forte was seen limping off the field during today's OTA - he didn't return. It all happened a few minutes before the practice ended, so the fact that he didn't come back from the locker room may not mean much. Turner on the injury: "I don't think there's any concern...I think he'll be fine.''

  17. Here they are. Remember that they're downgrading almost everybody in the league pretty drastically. The goal is to eliminate the problem in previous Maddens where every halfway-decent starter had to be at least in the high 80s. This year the range of ratings for starters is going to be something more like 70-100, instead of 85- or 90-100.

  19. Started by nfoligno,

Hunter was already in a tough position. Coming off a bad season, the guy who replaced him has been seemingly replaced by a veteran (Pisa), likely pushing Hunter further down the depth chart. Hunter needs to make a strong case to stick, but w/ the injury, he can't even play right now. IMHO, the best argument for him to stay on the team was his ability to provide depth at both SLB and MLB. Just read today that, w/ Urlacher held out of practice (for a minor issue), it was Jamar Williams manning the middle. If Jamar, who all reports say has had among the best offseason showings thus far, can prove capable of handling the middle, the top reason to keep Hunter may be g…
