  1. NFC North Skill Groups (1QB, 2RB, 2TE, 3WR): CHI - Williams / Swift, Herbert / Kmet, Everett / Moore, Allen, Odunze DET - Goff / Gibbs, Montgomery / LaPorta, Wright / St. Brown, Williams, Raymond MIN - McCarthy / Jones, Chandler / Hockenson, Oliver / Jefferson, Addison, Powell GB - Love / Jacobs, Lloyd / Musgrave, Kraft / Watson, Dobbs, Reed - Rookies in Red - Meh players in Blue The Bears have the best WR Corps, Everett is the best TE2 of the bunch, making the TE Room competitive with DET and MIN. DET has the best RB Room but CHI and GB are close behind. Adding Odunze really puts the Bears offense over the top. Roschon would be ahead of Chandler on…

The division is easily the best division in football, and the last 2 months of the season are going to be a bloodbath. The Bears have 6 division games left, GB and DET both have 5, and MIN has 4. Those games will ultimately decide the division and even some WC spots as we knock each other down in the conference standings. I am hoping the Bears can at least split with each team and go 3-3 in the division games. That would give the Bears a good shot at 10-7 and a WC spot. CHI - Team still improving, on a 3-game win streak, last 4-game win streak was in 2018. 3 winnable games coming up, need to take care of business. DET - Hutchinson out for the year who was playing…

Since Matt Nagy took over in 2018, this is the combined regular-season records of the NFC North with the Division record in parentheses: 1. CHI 24-13 (10-3) 2. GB 23-12-1 (9-4-1) 3. MIN 19-16-1 (5-7-1) 4. DET 10-25-1 (2-12) I was actually pretty shocked to see that the Bears had the best record (most wins) and the best record in the division. I was also shocked to see Minnesota near .500 and with a losing record in the division. It just doesn't feel that way.

Pro Football Weekly was rating the best divisions and the North had a slight edge over the NFC East. Hey its a slow topic time of the year. I agree with them, I think the Packers are the best team in football and Detroit and The Bears will have above 9 win seasons, so that should put them over the hump.

http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nfcnorth/0-6-49...valuations.html Chicago Bears (9-7) The Bears took early control of the NFC North but missed a chance to create a deep cushion after giving up leads against Carolina, Tampa Bay and Atlanta. And yet even with those missed opportunities and a 1-3 stretch in late November, the Bears could have earned a wild-card berth had they won their season finale at Houston. That failure should jump-start a number of self-scouting exercises, especially to figure out why their defense slipped in nearly every area two years after leading the team to the Super Bowl. Grade: B- Biggest surprise: There was a general consensus that Matt Fo…

NFC Offensive Line Rankings I was wondering if you all agreed with this ranking of the NFC Offensive Lines. If their speculation is right and we are 14th out of 16, we are in deep doo doo. I think we will be much better. I have no doubt that if needed Angelo will check out players cut during preseason do to a "youth movement" or "Salary Cap Problems" and beef up the OL with some veterans. However, I am hoping that Williams will be the answer at LT and with Tait moving to RT, we will be no less than #6 or #7 in the ranking by the end of the season.

It's getting to be that time again. We are closing in on the 4th quarter of the season. The Bears are currently 3rd in the NFC North at 8-6. With 2 games remaining, lets take a look at the playoff picture, the way things currently stand today. I'll be updating this as the weeks go by. *Updated as of 12/29/12* 1- Atlanta Falcons (13-2): vs NO, @ CAR, vs NYG, @ DET, vs TB 2- Green Bay Packers (11-4): vs MIN, vs DET, @ CHI, vs TEN, @ MIN 3- San Francisco 49'ers (10-4-1): @ STL, vs MIA, @ NE, @ SEA, vs ARZ 4- Washington Redskins (9-6): vs NYG, vs BAL, @ CLE, @ PHI, vs DAL 5- Seattle Seahawks (10-5): @ CHI, vs ARZ, @ BUF, vs SF, vs STL 6- Min…

Assume Bears, Seahawks (vs STL), Panthers (at ATL), and Saints (vs TB) win. That leaves 2 games to deciding the seeding for the NFC. SEA and CAR would finish 1-2. PHI at DAL SF at ARZ If SF and PHI win (favorites): NO at PHI and SF at CHI 4 If ARZ and DAL win (home teams/underdogs): SF at CHI 3 and NO at DAL If SF and DAL win: NO at CHI 3 and SF at DAL If ARZ and PHI win: SF at PHI and NO at CHI 4 So to me, the best matchup is NO in Chicago, and that would only happen in the last 2 scenarios. If all favorites win, we get SF. A crazy scenario is if SEA somehow loses (possible but unlikely), they could drop all the way to th…

Man what a collapse in the second half. Detroit absolutely blew it against SF. I was rooting for the Lions as I know their fan base has suffered a lot, even more than we have. This was probably their best chance to finally get to a Super Bowl and they collectively blew it. Going for it on 4th down, I know that's Campbell's style and his players know he's going to be aggressive on 4th down, but seriously, when things are going south, and your in FG territory trailing in a game you lead by 17, maybe start doing the smart thing and taking the points and not risk putting your opponent in great field position and continuing let them have the momentum. That said th…

well, here we go. if it turns out to be true... if this scandal with ross (dolphins owner) and now the owner or high management personnel of the browns? (what other franchises are involved) comes to light that NFL teams were TANKING games per instructions from the owners/management this isn't just a tiny blip on the radar screen this is tracking a full out attack with ICBM's. this means that a number of extremely important things come to mind and it opens up a gigantic can of worms for the owners and the hierarchy of the NFL corporation as a whole. 1. INTEGRITY: the integrity of a real and not contrived sport where the end results are predetermined are at s…

Your league is over taking 2 leagues currently in season and one in preseason for buzz with March Madness on the horizon and you're going to investigate what? This was nothing more than rhetoric.

A team with a pretty decent return game/return man might be exceptionally impacted by these proposed kickoff rule changes. I'm not sure how they'd enforce the "Wedge" part, probably something about positioning, but this could seriously change the special teams game. Moving the kickoff up and putting an extra 5 yards on touchbacks would certainly increase the amount of touchbacks and dramatically curtail the number of returns in a game.

As of right now, these amounts are the contracts that each team in the NFL has committed for 2011. It's good information but there are a lot of details to add. First, the cap in 2009, the last year that a cap existed, was about $130 million. Second, these numbers exist prior to basic offseason moves, like cutting people with non-guaranteed contracts, making qualifying offers to restricted free agents, and attempting to use the franchise/transition tag. Third, there are no holds for draft picks. Fourth, this will change rapidly if players are extended before the CBA runs out. If the owners succeed in forcing cuts to the salary cap in the future, especially if …

They were just talking about the maturity of mat ryan, and showed the last play he had against us. WOW, I haven't seen that clip since it happened and let me tell you that was a whole lot of B.S. the damn clock doesn't start until he drops back I know it's a moot point, but I can not believe the NFL didn't look into that last play because although it was only couple seconds that didn't come off( and it was clearly obvious in the nfl countdown replay), all they had on the clock was 1 second left that screwed us over! Just watching it live appeared in slow motion since the clock wasn't running. I saw many of you talking about it, but now that I have witnessed that mysel…

Here is the current list of players (26 so far) opting out of the 2020 NFL Season due to COVID. Goldman is currently the only Bear, and is the 4th highest rated player in the league to opt-out so far (according to PFF grades). I assume this list will triple by the time the deadline hits sometime next week. For the Bears, my guess is Leno and Miller will follow suit as both have recently had children. Miller has at least been shown working out with Trubisky, so he has a chance, but Leno seems like the type of guy that would take this option and run with it. I have no issues with players opting out, I just didn't like the timing on some of these guys. …
