With all the Fox talk I didn't see this talked about. I hope Pace interviews every possible guy out there, helps get a better feel. Don't want Marrone at all.

I'd LOVE to have him as our offensive coordinator. In 2010 when he was the OC in Carolina, they ranked #7 on offense. He's currently working as a special assistant in Indy. It will be interesting to see if they let us interview him.

There are many reasons I love the hire of John Fox, but the way everything is occurring is what makes me enjoy this the most. We have already gained 3 people from 3 different respected teams. just think of the scouting expertise we just gained for pro personnel for free agency. Also look at the expertise we gained in scouting our opposition and the way they scouted us. There are other things I could say but gotta give you all a place to come in...

Reported by local radio, etc. Everyone was kind of excited about him in preseason, before he went down. He's never been able to stay healthy though.

I think the three signing w have so far are going to bring a new attitude to the team...with McPhee saying he is violent and Rolle and Royal being hitters (Rolle) and playmakers (Royal) things are looking up!! Now do we sign the Chiefs Parker...as he has played CB as well as safety and could be that nickelback we need with his 4.3 speed

  9. Started by adam,

According to overthecap.com we have $130,789,062 committed to the cap after the McPhee/Royal/Rolle signings, and we have an adjusted cap of $145,168,434 for this year (with carry over). That leaves us with $14.380; we have a total rookie pool of about $5.7 and an effective rookie pool of about $3.4. With league year expenses and some cap flexibility, that leaves us around $9mil to sign other FA's. To me this seems like we can bring in 2-3 more mid-tier players. Hopefully two of them will be Foster and Parker.

  10. The NFL announced they were turning Chicago into draft-town or something like it. Does anybody here care? I could make it a point to at least visit the festivities if I wanted but I have zero interest. I love going to training camp each year. I'll be following the draft for 3 days straight. But I have no interest in visiting. Is it just me or does anybody here care?

  11. Started by jason,

http://walterfootball.com/draft2015.php 1 - Kevin White, WR, WVU 2 - Jordan Phillips, NT, OK 3 - TJ Clemmings, OT, Pitt (AJ Cann available) 4 - Lorenzo Mauldin, DE/OLB, Louisville 5 - Charles Gaines, CB, Louisville 6 - Andy Gallik, C, Boston College I'm on record as being not too high on Kevin White. I hope it's Cooper instead. Phillips at 2 works very well. I think AJ Cann is a better pick at 3. 4-6 I'm not overly excited about, but I get it.

So while reading about Ray "dipshit" McDonalds departure from the team I started seeing commentary about the possibility of Jets DLman Mo Wilkerson being dangled as trade bait. So far the Jets have publicly said they intend to keep him but he's apparently in a contract year, holding out AND they just drafted Leonard Williams. Some of the concerns obviously are his demand for a big contract and that our team has other needs than just DL. But... Is Wilkerson impactful enough to make a difference to the new defense that Fangio is working to implement? And could Martellus Bennett being offered in a trade to the Jets sweeten the deal? http://m.bleacherreport.com/arti…

Another veteran with starting experience signed to a 1-year deal, though he hasn't been very good since his Super Bowl heroics. Hopefully one younger guys beats him out (Bryce Callahan, Jacoby Glenn, Demontre Hurst, Al Louis-Jean), but provides some decent insurance.

  20. Started by Pixote,

I would love to see the Bears enter a draft with extra picks stockpiled. It seems every year we enter the draft with less picks than rounds. So the thought of giving up a future draft pick to obtain a promising prospect is questionable in my mind. Especially when the prospect has a few question marks, however small they are. It appears that Isaiah Battle is a highly regarded OT prospect, one who could possibly anchor an OL on the left side for a long time. So would you roll the dice on him?
