Figuratively, if the Bears could get 1 player from the Packers, who would you want them to get? Raji: a dominating DT who would fill an obvious missing piece in the middle of the Bears DL. Rodgers: the Bears have a QB and in the midst of tons of stars from the Packers as options, Rodgers is a long shot, but would he be worth it? Matthews: another longshot just because the Bears are a 4-3 and he feeds off being an OLB in a 3-4, but again would he be worth it? Jennings: he would immediately be the missing #1 WR the Bears have lacked for years. Bulaga: a young OT who would fill the Bears most pressing need. Other: is there someone else on your mind?

As of right now, these amounts are the contracts that each team in the NFL has committed for 2011. It's good information but there are a lot of details to add. First, the cap in 2009, the last year that a cap existed, was about $130 million. Second, these numbers exist prior to basic offseason moves, like cutting people with non-guaranteed contracts, making qualifying offers to restricted free agents, and attempting to use the franchise/transition tag. Third, there are no holds for draft picks. Fourth, this will change rapidly if players are extended before the CBA runs out. If the owners succeed in forcing cuts to the salary cap in the future, especially if …

  5. http://www.nesn.com/2011/01/sources-larry-...ight-price.html Hellllooo? Don't know what they would be asking. I know the Lions got a 1st and 3rd out of Roy Williams so I think the bidding would start there. How about a 1st and Johnny Knox? This would be a dream come true if Larry Fitzgerald fell into our laps. Best WR in the game today.

Thought some of you would find this amusing. This ball sells for about $80 normally, but with good ol Rexy's signature on it, it only sells for $20. Wilson Official NFL Football - The Duke $19.99 +SH Alright so I found this ball that normally sells on amazon for $79 [amazon.com] for $20 here [steinersports.com] the only downside is that Rex Grossman signed it so you will have to do a little work to clean it off or play with as is but it might make you throw more interceptions then you normally do. Flate rate shipping of $8.99 no matter how many you buy. Product Details The Chicago Bears selected quarterback Rex Grossman during the first roun…

Here is a website that has the 2011 Free Agents Broken Down by position. This should help with our wishful thinking and hopeful banter. http://walterfootball.com/freeagents.php

  11. 1. We need to get rid of Kreutz and Garza they are old and can block well anymore. Get Mankins as a FA and draft a center 2. We need to get a WR like TO, Fitzgerald, Ocho Cinco, V.Jackson, Moss, Rice, someone that can be a no#1. Draft either A. Brown(southern miss) or Baldwin(Pitt) 3. Get a true man playing corner like Bailey or Asomugha. Jennings to short and Tillman getting old and slow 4. Use the Damn play book to use the screens, passes to the RB(Forte over 500 yrds) use the big TEs Olsen & Davis is jump ball in the red zone. 5 Use Hester on both kick offs and punt returns.

  15. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/...hness-demeanor/ Passionate Madden defends Cutler’s toughness, demeanor Posted by Mike Florio on January 28, 2011, 12:05 AM EST Hall of Fame coach John Madden recently joined Adam Schein and Rich Gannon of Sirius NFL Radio to discuss the hottest issue of the week — the injury to Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, whether he could have played with the injury, and whether his demeanor suggested that he cared about the fact that he was missing the second half of the biggest game of his life. In defending Cutler, Madden was passionate, emotional, and as angry as we’ve ever heard him. “I’ve been in football for over 50 …

So the season is over for us now, onto the offseason already. Aside from the obvious (Drafting offensive lineman) what else do you think the Bears need to improve the offense and defense for next season? Two things for me. One, a true #1 receiver-- easier said then done, but without one you can never be a truly consistent offense throwing the football. As far as I'm concerned, Earl Bennett is really the only one I somewhat trust at catching the ball. Secondly, there's a free agent out there that will be demanding a ton of money and goes by the name of Andy Asumugha (sp!!). You know, the guy from Oakland. I don't know where the Bears are at financially like I do with…

  18. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2011/...-criticism.html Staff report Nearly a week after the Bears' heartbreaking loss to the Green Bay Packers, Pro-Bowl linebacker Brian Urlacher is still baffled by the criticism of quarterback Jay Cutler by current and former players. Urlacher, appearing Friday morning on the WMVP-AM 1000's "Waddle & Silvy Show," said the shots on Twitter from the likes of the Jacksonville Jaguars' Maurice Jones Drew "pissed" him off. "Anyone who knows Jay and has played with Jay and seen the hits he's taken…

Lovie Smith and Co. Week 17: You milk it the 2nd half and basically let your arch rival into the playoffs. Horrible offensive playcalling (Martz), however defense was great 95% of game. Divisional Playoff: Great game all around, then your OC calls a halfback pass... we all know NFC Championship: Arch rival comes to town and hands you your ass for 35minutes. Your QB gets hurt and you bring in a guy who couldnt complete a pass in flag football. OC terrible playcalling majority of game. 3rd and 3 on a game tying drive, you call a reverse to a slow WR, and an Olin you knpw dam well cant get to the second level.. You have a RB who besides Greg Jennings, is ha…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3y6U8hlNu0 Hope you guys enjoy this, 7 minutes of highlights from this season, pretty much any big play you can think of is on here. What are some of your favorite plays? Which stick out the most from the video that didn't get "enough" love during the season? I love Earl Bennet's catch vs Detroit where he rumbled on for like 20 extra yards.
