Was reading a story in the Bleacher Report on "Top 10 undrafted free agents who could be a major contributor in 2014" and former FSU LB Christian Jones (now Chicago Bears) was mentioned. (Sorry can't post the link). According to some links in the story he was once a higher touted player but "failed a drug test at the combine" and dropped in stock as a result. Comparisons were of him to the Bills Manny Lawson. Anyone heard of him? I like what I see. Maybe an eventual starter in place of Greene or if SMC fails miserably at his conversion?

Our new punter the 6th RD draft pick can do more than just punt. He can kick off and kick field goals as well. Bostic played with him in high school its said he made a 52 yard field goal in high school and kicked the ball out of the end zone 95% of the time with a 47.7 punting average. Wow 47.7 compared to our punter last year of what like 40.1.........might be a great pick

Here is an article about SMC's transformation from stack.com with some videos. http://www.stack.com/2014/05/13/how-nfl-li...lin-got-ripped/ He looks much better than the comparison pic from the original article. For those looking to do the same workout, I've attached the workout plan: scot_prohgaska_workout.pdf

With all the new bodies on the club, I am curious who everybody thinks will have a breakout year that was already on the team. My choice will be Cris Williams-We are in dire need of a new return man and I think he carries that torch. He has speed to burn, he will also contribute at WR as our 5th wideout. With all the new players, he will find a place to succeed.

First I heard this on a Brad Biggs tweet that last summer the Bears declined an offer to trade for Shea McClellin to the Texans.New Bears LB coach was with the Texans and is familiar with Shea. Wonder what the offer was.

Alright so I'm kinda getting ahead of myself here, but I find looking at the 2015 season very intriguing.....Look at who we already have locked up... QB-Cutler/Fales RB-Forte/Carey WR-Marshall/Jeffery/Wilson TE-Bennett/(Onubun) LT-Bushrod LG-Slauson C- ? RG-Long RT-Mills DE-Allen/Houston/Young DT-Ratliff/Ego/Sutton LB-Bostic/SMC/Greene/(Jones) CB-Jennings/Fuller/Frey SS- Mundy FS- Vereen They have all of that AND about 30M in cap space. Hypothetically speaking if Bostic takes a step forward, SMC proves to be a solid LB, Greene shows the talent I saw in him in college, Vereen takes the starting FS job and runs with it, and …

Vegas has the over/under on Bears wins set at 8. I think I may actually have to throw down some cash on that. I think worst case it'd be a push at 8 wins. With all the talent they have now I'd be SHOCKED if this is a below .500 football team.

Hey guys I'm going to be on vacation during this week and brought idea of going half joking up with the wife. Surprisingly enough she likes the idea. It would be 1st game my boys would be attending. So I'm asking if anyone has tickets or knows someone that wants to sell. Would be looking at either needing 2 or 4. 4 would be best as we could all attend as a family. Thx guys

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap200000035...-nfl-offseasons Bucs #1, Bears #2, Broncos #3, Jags #4, Cardinals #5 Seems reasonably. Hard to see us not improving from last year, so that over on 8 wins looks like a really good bet.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/...g-into-his-30s/ Brandon Marshall sees Jerry Rice as a model for playing into his 30s Posted by Michael David Smith on May 23, 2014, 9:37 AM EDT Jerry Rice AP Brandon Marshall, the Bears’ 30-year-old receiver, just signed a contract that keeps him in Chicago for four more seasons. Marshall says he already has a model for the way a receiver can stay on top into his 30s. Marshall noted at his press conference announcing his new contract that Jerry Rice showed that players in their early to mid-30s can continue to play at a high level. Rice led the NFL in receiving yards for three straight seasons at ages 31, 3…

Anybody listen to the Ray Rice comments on his incident with his (now) wife. He talks about his lessons in life and about becoming a better person. He knocks out his wife on tape and drags her out of the elevator and down the hall. Here is the article refering to his press conference. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football...ticle-1.1803771 What a douche (one of Alask's favorite words). No matter what players do on the field, we are defined by our actions in life.
