On PTI today, report saying Bill Cowher told Bills no but would want to coach the Bears or the Texans...... Please make this happen and Stoops to ND and i will be a very happy football fan everyone wants Lovie gone how about Cowher

The bloom is off that rose. I won't say I was a staunch defender of Lovie but I was willing to pull for the "Brotha". That all changed when he decided he would continue to talk in coach speak and basically ruined my Sundays(or Game Days). When it comes to the Bears I'm not sitting here starring at a Malcolm X poster and reciting Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream" speech, I am first and foremost looking for the Bears to win the game they play. Taking my ethnicity out of the equation Lovie sucks as bad as Herm Edwards did in KC. Maybe he is one of those guys that just needs to be a coordinator like Romeo Crennel, Kevin Gilbride ,Dick Le Beau and Dom Capers…

Hub Arkush was on the Boers and Bernstein show this evening and stated that he had confirmation that someone above Jerry Angelo's position in the organization has started to inquiry into the posibilities of bringing in a new coach. This due diligence has been performed on John Gruden, Shanahan, and Cowher. This executive was looking into the parameters of the size and requirements of a compensation package should the Bears head down the path of replacing Lovie and perhaps Angelo (depending upon the amount of power needed by the new coach). Trade Hester and Olsen and use the value you get to upgrade the line of scrimmage. - Hester will never be much better than he is now and, at this point, he is at best a #2 receiver. He needs to be a slot receiver and I see Knox as the exact same player who is younger with more upside as a receiver. - Olsen is an ok receiving TE (should be much better) who is a horrible blocker. I would rather get K Davis on the field more. Further, it seems Cutler zeros in on him on every play. Peace

Per an NFP piece written by his former agent, Ricky Williams came very close to declaring for the draft after his junior year. The Bears reportedly preferred Williams to Curtis Enis, and this agent thinks they would have drafted Ricky had he declared in 1998. ...so instead of going to Ditka in New Orleans, he could have easily been a Bear. What do you guys think?

For the record, the offense was terrible. I realize that. But I am getting tired of this D getting a pass, or some saying they played well. Maybe if we compare this game to the cincy or Az games, then sure, they played well. But only if we set the bar that low. On the ground, this unit should be embarrassed. I gained more respect for Donavan after the game. I can't read lips but seeing him seek out Jay and take him aside to talk to him to me shows a lot of class. It was hard to make out what he was saying but I like that he made it a point to talk to him and look to encourage him. It's good to remember that the players really do look out for one another at the end of the day.
